We didn't want to leave! Loved being away from the hustle and bustle. The house was pristine, and if I had any questions the owners got back to me pronto! We cannot wait to book with you all next year!
Thank you for such wonderful words Jennifer!! You were a pleasure to have as guests and we welcome you all back anytime!
This was our first trip to Colorado and we could not have picked a more fitting cabin. It had everything we needed. No cellphone service but the WiFi worked perfectly. Very clean and beautifully decorated. It felt like our own private paradise. Morning coffee out by the fire pit(burn ban during our stay but that didn’t take away from our trip) was a great way to start our day. Then in the evening we all watched the hummingbirds feed within arms reach on the front porch. Overall, the cabin was perfect. 2 adult, 3 kids and 2 dogs( they loved the dog run and hanging outside with us) were more than comfortable with plenty of space. We experienced no issues and hope to get a chance to come back again soon. Jim and Deb have a hidden gem of a cabin
We greatly enjoyed our stay here.
We enjoyed our time at the cabin. The cabin had everything we needed to cook meals. The beds were comfortable. The cabin was clean. It was located next to a "babbling brook" that I enjoyed listening to in the evenings along with the birds calling. We saw a beaver, ducks, hummingbirds, deer and numerous birds around the cabin. There is plenty of seating on the deck. The kids enjoyed the golf ball toss game and inside the hot tub room were several board games and a dart board. The only "negatives" would be the somewhat remote location, climbing the stairs to go in and out and the stairs in the house to the lower level are narrow and a little steep, but manageable. The property manager was responsive and available.
We rented this cabin in the mountains for a weekend to meet up with my college friends, make/eat food and just hang out. We had a lot of fun and the cabin really provided a lot more things than I assumed it would. We've rented cabins before and they provided you with limited paper products etc but there were plenty of paper towels etc here and it's nice to not have to worry about such things. There was also a lot of misc dry goods left by others that were a big help when you didn't bring something you needed for cooking. The kitchen had a nice selection of things for cooking and serving food. The hot tub was nice. We didn't get to see much wildlife but we did see a fox when we were roasting some smores the last night there (they provided roasting forks too!). There was a small accident with one of the boards breaking on the deck so be a careful there and the owners maybe want to check the boards if they haven't already but luckily it just ended in some scratches and bruises. Everyone agreed that they liked the place and would come back! If you aren't from Denver or the mountains, make sure to drink plenty of water, the air is definitely thinner and even more so in the mountains! Oh and if you have google direct you from the Denver area and are in a normal car, I recommend just taking the extra 15 minutes or whatever and going down to Colorado Springs and up through Woodland Park. A lot more gas stations, and non mountainous driving so you aren't going down steep hills and constantly twisting and turning and you can drive directly past the Garden of the Gods if you want to do some hiking there. That being said the mountain route does take you through a pretty valley. Oh and for anyone that is curious about the deposit, we received ours back in full. And there are 2 large dog beds and the dog run is helpful for unloading/loading the car. We had a great time!
The entire family (Grandparents, Parents, 3 and 1 yr old boys and dogs) had a wonderful post-holiday get away at the Lake View Cabin. The cabin is super clean and has everything you need plus extras. We hope to visit again in the summer.
