Great location, large villa with multiple issues that could so easily be resolved. We arrived at the villa after a 1500 mile journey and were shown our villa, pool and gardens. That’s all there was, no cold bottle of water (Or wine), toilet rolls, soap, the basics. First thing we had to do was a big shop to get our basic needs catered for. The villa is just TIRED. Needs a lick of paint, doors stick against the floor, chairs with flat cushions from a 1970’s second hand store. Soft furnishings in the place need throwing out and replacing. Eating on the dining table was an experience, bit like dining on a surfboard, needs work to stop it wobbling. The condensation drain in the fridge is blocked leading to water build up inside. The Lady who met us, nothing personal, could take a gentler attitude with her guests, she’s a bit “Abrupt” shall we say… Maybe a cultural or language issue – I can’t speak German. TV is German and Spanish, no English. There were notes around threatening “Fines” – retune the TV – 50 euros, leave a dirty barbecue – 35 euros. The villa was perfectly adequate for our needs and we had a good time, just a touch more appreciation for our business would have been nice. The owner is not looking at repeat business aspect very much.
