Inside in dyer need of repair. Sat on broken bar stool, could have been hurt. Bedside table leg broken. Lamp shade in living room frayed. Got out of bed in night and stepped bare foot on huge roach. Needs pest control treatment with monitoring. Saw another huge dead roach in downstairs bonus room/bedroom. Inside needs painting. Showers have no caddies so must walk wet out into bathroom for soap and shampoo and razor. Slipping hazard. Beds very very uncomfortable and hard. We had emphasized with owner importance of comfortable beds. He assured us they were. Closets jammed full of old bedspreads and mattress covers wadded up.
Outside backyard: patio chair fell apart when sitting. Could have been hurt. Pool safety hazard with no rail. Very unkept with trash, dead plants in planter, broken cement/tile, dirty.
We talked with owner before renting and he assured us all previous problems in reviews had been corrected. Obviously they weren't. We complained. He sent two maintenance over who fixed outside chair but left broken bar stool. Said he would get back to us with rent adjustment but didn't. Will follow up for adjustment.
Would not recommend this property until problems are corrected.
Overall the house is ok , but just that, OK. There is no "stunning" about it other than the drunk homeless guy you pass on the way into the neighbourhood . The house is easy to get to and its close to the HWY.
I followed the correct procedure for check in only to be greeted by the Alarm going off when I opened the door . The house is in serious need of a paint job on the inside and a pressure wash on the outside (front steps green ?).A good interior decorator wouldn't hurt either, "all new"??? what as a vrbo rental? While the Kitchen might have been new the rest of the house certainly isn't ,can we say time warp to the 80's. We checked in on a Monday , the pool needed a cleaning , was told they come once a week on a Friday, Would you not check the condition before your guests arrive seeing there is a 4pm check in ? The pool does need work as there are rust stains on the bottom , tile work that needs fixing and a non functioning skimmer that is broken. The grass did need a mowing also . While we were there we did have an issue with a water leak in the Laundry, management company responded quickly and had someone out right away to investigate /fix the issue. Turns out the conduit from the swimming pool light was corroded and water was leaking through it (had a lot of rain recently) ,good thing we didn't swim at night with the light on or someone could have been electrocuted.I only saw 1 cockroach but it was a good size one so it leads me to believe there are others not seen .
Overall for the money paid I think a hotel would have been a better choice and a better value .
The house was a perfect option for us and our teenagers on our recent visit to Atlanta for a short vacation. Quick access to I285 was very helpful. The pool was an absolute hit!
We made full use of the well appointed kitchen and two separate entertaining areas (living room and downstairs tv area), as well as the nice patio by the pool.
Thanks for making the trip easy with communication and instructions for entry, wifi, etc! Would definitely recommend for families or others traveling as a group, as the three bathrooms and multiple sleeping areas were very convenient.
My family of four, with two large and busy teens, stayed here four nights in August. We used to live in the Atlanta area, so flexibility: Being able to easily visit family and friends OR host others was important to us. For us, it was ideal. The home was plenty large enough for us to spread out and have our own space, yet share communal times in the den or around the pool. The kitchen was adequately stocked with utensils. The gas BBQ grill was a great option. Since the home was very close to a an exit for I-285, driving to activities or giving others directions to find us was a snap. For us, this was MUCH better than staying in a hotel or imposing on family. We would gladly stay here again.
... and we should know. Our home was flooded and we were in need of immediate temporary housing that accepted pets for a few days. The owner was the only person (after making calls all day) who assisted us and actually went above and beyond to insure we had a place to stay while our home was drying out. The home was gorgeous, very clean with everything we could possibly need. It really made a difficult time much easier and I would happily recommend any of his properties with confidence.
