The cabin was beautiful and very spacious!

  • 5 of 5

Me and my family loved the cabin, very clean and nice. Well furnished, decorated beautifully, loved the hot tub, comfortable beds. Loved sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs. Will definitely stay in this cabin again, the next time we are in Sevierville.

Great spot!!

  • 5 of 5

Overall, this was a great place to stay!! Between the hot tub, pool table and grill, it was very relaxing. Drinking coffee on the porch while admiring the valley was very nice. My kid especially enjoyed one of the little reading areas upstairs as he is an avid comic book reader and he could spread his comics out up there. He thought the idea of a spot just for reading was an awesome idea.

Even though our stay was short, the owner was extremely helpful. I'm not used to using a wireless connection and a quick call to the owner solved my problem. I really should have been able to figure that one out, but he was able to guide me through it without making me feel stupid! LOL!!

The furnishings were great and our stay was pleasant. If I'm back in the area and have more time, I'd love to stay there again and explore the area more.

Not good

  • 1 of 5

Although the house was nice the owner chose to regulate the air so it was hot in the house. We all had to go buy fans just to be able to sleep. I did not go on vacation to sweat in the place i am staying. Also the house accomadates 6 the hot tub 4. The grill outside was also too small. The steps at the back door entrace needs a landing trying to step up on the first step was hard. They also need a privacy fence where the hot tub is so you dont feel like your being stared at by your neighbor which is very close.

Owner's Response: I am sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay and shocked to find a one star rating after having over 80 positive reviews and an average rating of 4.9 stars. The most unfortunate aspect is that almost all of your concerns could have been handled with a 5 minute telephone call. My telephone number and email address are listed on the VRBO/HomeAway site and all of the paperwork provided to our guests. In case you didn’t travel with your paperwork, my contact information is included in your arrival packet and posted on the refrigerator door. The upstairs and downstairs thermostats are set to a low of 67 degrees. I have found that temperatures set below that can result in the units freezing up and not being able to provide any cool air until serviced by a repair person. However, the settings could have been lowered with the understanding that the units may freeze up if set too low. I have since purchased fans that can be found in each bedroom closet. The hot tub is a comfortable four person hot tub (pictured on the VRBO/HomeAway web site and listed as such in the description.) The size of the hot tub is dictated by the size of the deck and the amount of weight that can be placed on the deck. The grill is a covered, adjustable 14 x 20 charcoal park grill located just off the back deck. The cooking area is larger than the electric griddle I use at home and I am able to easily fit eight to ten quarter pound hamburgers on it. The grill no longer sets on the back deck due to insurance regulations. I do have a portable grill that is available upon request. The distance from the ground to the top of the first step is about seven and a half inches. I would have been more than happy to have had extra gravel or a stepping stone placed on the ground to facilitate your entry into the cabin. Again, all I needed was a phone call as I wasn’t aware that this was a problem. The nearest home to the cabin belongs to my 80 year old parents. They have absolutely no interest in what goes on at the rental cabin and spend most evenings watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, not vacationers. The home is up the hill and through the trees with the most visible part being the rarely used sun room. It can be clearly seen in one of the hot tub pictures. For future reference, a phone call before booking or during your stay can alleviate or mitigate almost all questions or concerns. I hope you are able to find a cabin that is better suited to your needs and come back to enjoy the Smoky Mountains.

Location, Location, LOCATION

  • 5 of 5

For my family and me, this was an idea location. It is located some 100 yards off Wears Road. This can present some road noise, but not enough to be any real problem. This location is within minutes of Pigeon Forge, Cades Cove, Gatlinburg, Townsend, and the Smoky Mountain National Park.

First impressions are always important. When we started up the drive, the cabin was awesome looking. When we walked into the cabin, again, it was awesome. Everything was clean and neat. The kitchen is filled with anything one would need. Great thought went into the furnishings. Everything just blended together.

The driveway is gravel with a circle at the top of the hill. On our second night, we had a storm that knocked down trees on surrounding lots, but not this one. It also knocked out power all over the area, but not in this cabin. The rain didn't effect the driveway at all.

My three grandsons (16, 12, and 5) enjoyed the foosball, pool table, and hot tub. My wife and myself enjoy having coffee each morning and evening on the front porch with the rockers and the view of the valley and distant mountains.

The bathrooms had great water pressure and lots of hot water which was important for the seven of us. The beds slept well and there was lots of storage.

Within a short distance there were great restaurants, gas stations, souvenir shops, and even a super coffee/bakery/deli shop and a Dollar General.

And, what made this a perfect cabin was our host, Jim.

Feels like home!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have just returned from our fifth stay at Beary Cozy. We are so glad that after trying numerous cabins in Gatlinburg and Wears Valley, we've finally found one to call our home away from home. The floor plan with the first floor master bedroom is perfect for my knees. We love the location right on the main road to Cades Cove where we spend most of our time and no dark, winding roads to navigate, but still a mountain view from the front porch. The cabin is always meticulously clean and well-stocked for any occasion. We are already counting the days until our next stay in October.
