Beautiful setting and clean property

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at Aspen Grove with our daughter and two other couples and had a wonderful stay. The property was clean and welcoming with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Its location is perfect being very close to downtown Estes Park shopping and a grocery store as well as being a quick drive to the Lumpy Ridge trail head. The views outside the windows were wonderful and we were able to view elk from inside the house. The fact the house had two bathrooms and four bedrooms was great for our larger group and helped to get us out of the house quickly in the mornings to enjoy the national park and other areas of interest. Some of the group complained about the beds but after busy days hiking around I had no issues falling and staying asleep. We would definitely recommend this property to others if staying in a group and would return if given the opportunity.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

Plenty of space for our family of 10 with beautiful views, a well-stocked kitchen, and a great location. Our oldest son used the basketball hoop quite a bit (until it snowed), and our littles used the loft a bunch. We cooked in the fully stocked kitchen, watched movies together, and cozied up by the fireplace. The proximity to RMNP and downtown Estes is very convenient, and to the Gem Lake trailhead is a gift - what a beautiful hike!

Thanks so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cabin, we'd love to come back another time.

P.S. We just checked out this morning and while packing and cleaning up were treated to 5 elk in your yard, 1 of which was right by the game room window and looked at us multiple times. We got it on video - definitely a highlight of our trip!

Great Place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had four couples and two children and it was a GREAT place for all of us. The entire place was well stocked, just like home. The kids loved the loft, the deck was great for outdoor eating and it's close to town and the Park. The one criticism was from the family of 4 in the bunk bed room. The bunks were not very stable and the little boy on top who tossed around a lot kept the bed swinging. Not a great place to sleep but all the other rooms were great.

Family friendly, beautiful location!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great week at Aspen Grove. My favorite part of the home was how well it worked with children. The separate play/game/tv area for the kids was the biggest bonus for us. That combined with outdoor play on the jungle gym and trampoline gave the kids many hours of entertainment. The home was very clean and well supplied. The location on Devil's Gulch road was beautiful and close enough to town to be convenient. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars were the terribly uncomfortable beds.

We discovered on the last night of our stay that the mattresses had been flipped and we were basically sleeping on springs the entire week. The "regular" side of the mattresses was a bit better, but not much. Several of us did not sleep well all week. If the beds were improved, this home would be perfect in my book!

Owner's Response: The mattresses were upgraded with memory foam toppers. This is the only complaint about the beds we have had.

Excellent Cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is very well designed where kids can have their own play areas separately and adults can have their area. Loved the indoor fire place in the sitting room with a TV and excellent mountain views from sitting room, kitchen / dining and family rooms. There is a small play area in the backyard with monkey bars and padded kid friendly ground. Out side deck is very big with lots of Aspen trees around. Lots of board games and DVD's for kids and adults also. All the kids loved the upstairs loft with toys and we would definitely recommend this place. We really loved our stay at this cabin and will stay here again in future.
