Beau Soliel on the Beach
Lots to commend and recommend, so lets get started. This small realty company, Angelfish is extraordinarily hands on, and prompt. The home itself is huge, but plays even bigger. There are simply too many ways you can escape life's worries here, that it is hard to choose which room, or veranda, or window, or view to contemplate. Several families could easily co-exist here for a week or longer, and even if they didn't like one another, they'd rate their stay highly! so much the better if they do. The house is well appointed with kitchenry items for you cooks. The designer of the physical home uses the fact that this property sits almost "pointlike" on the land, and therefore windows, and walls were used beautifully to capture the sun, and the evening light. The cook can commune with family, and watch the sunrise, and believe it or not part of a sunset, too. The designer of the interior space is just as clever. The artwork is special, the pillows plentiful and well used, and there are books galore. Even the deck furniture is hearty and hardy, and quilts at the door for cool mornings.
As for the environs, Emerald Isle and neighboring intercoastal towns are aplenty. We liked Beaufort, NC, but absolutely loved Swansboro (15 minutes away). That little town is as untouched by time as Savannah. Patrons were so friendly in the stores, and foodies will go for several places there, the Pub, and Icehouse, and Boro for sandwiches. Take time to walk its short streets and imagine the mid-nineteenth c. and very early twentieth c. homes, that are usually still lived in and loved. The Brick Store has continuously been used commercially since it was built in 1839
We came down to enjoy a bike race and the Croatan Forest with dozens of miles of gravel road. The Croatan Buck Fifty inaugural was loads of fun, and casual or serious cyclists would enjoy the fact that you can bike forever on this island's paths, or head over to the Croatan and ride for hours!
For you less adventurous, you can walk down the step from the kitchen and have your own personal pool, and hot tub, or walk 50 yards on the board walk across some of the most intact dunes ever, and be on a wide beach in about three minutes. Really great beach for tiny kids, the sand goes forever. So, all in all, a gem on the Emerald Isle.
Wonderful family stay
Gorgeous beach in front. Beautiful house - just as pictured. Really comfortable for our extended family, lots of private space. Brian and Shannon were quick to take of care of any concerns we had, and were always accessible. We hope to be back.
Very nice property in a great location.
Key pluses include a killer view from the top deck and a great pool deck and hot tub. Handled our 2 families very well. Well stocked for a rental. Overall very nice experience.
Everything was awesome - the house, the view, the beach, Shannon! We would definitely love to go back! Thank you so much for a wonderful week!!!
Just finished a 2 wk rental at Beau Soleil, one of Angelfish Properties’ oceanfront homes in The Point neighborhood on the very west end of Emerald Isle. Had a fabulous time. Brian and Shannon Peale were extremely easy to work with and provided great customer service. Shannon must never put down her phone because she responded within seconds to a couple simple logistical questions I had early the first week. The home is incredible. Can’t recommend it enough. Worth every penny and then some. My wife and I had most of the 1st week to ourselves with family arriving the middle weekend and staying for the 2nd week. The house easily accommodated our extended family of 10 with plenty of room to spare. The pool and hot tub were in great condition and cleaned twice a week. The 2 decks offered fantastic space for our family to gather and share dinner, stories, drinks, etc. When the beach got a little too windy and sandy, the pool and deck space made for a great alternative for a few hours. All 3 floors offer great common space for entertainment or relaxation. I must say the main kitchen on the 2nd floor was outstanding. Well stocked and well laid out. It had everything we needed for two weeks of meals. Gourmet quality kitchen. The downstairs kitchen is also a nice bonus for extra storage for food and drinks. The views are spectacular and the beach is wide with wonderful dunes between the home and the water (offering a great setting for the obligatory family photos at the end of our stay). Every room has HD TV and is tastefully-decorated. The home has an amazing collection of original artwork done by the owner. Beau Soleil is also pet-friendly, which was hard to find in a high-end rental that size on the ocean (of course we could not leave our 6 yr old Boykin Spaniel at home for 2 weeks). I am partial to Emerald Isle, having vacationed there off and on for 30 years. But I had never stayed on the west end of the island. It was great and we can’t wait to come back. The house is very close to the western tip of the island and made for great walks in the morning and at sunset. The home’s location was close to shopping and entertainment. The kids had quick trips to ice cream, putt putt, and go carts, although the favorite daily lunch option, The Big Oak Drive-In, is a little further away for us than past years (but still totally worth the drive). Star Hill Golf Club is less than a 15 min. drive, with 3 x 9-hole courses.
You can't go wrong with Beau Soleil!
Our family of 9 had a tremendous time staying at this Emerald Isle treasure. The view, the layout of the house, the common areas, the games worked together to make this a very memorable experience.
We packed beach towels, but in the future we will buy what we need down the road as the prices are beyond reasonable.
Shannon made everything easy. Her restaurant suggestions were spot on. Her welcome bag was thoughtful. There were no negatives, only positives. If you choose to stay at this property, you will have chosen wisely.
