The Sandlot -

Stay right on the beach! Nestled just steps from the Atlantic Ocean is this completely updated 8 Bedroom, 6 Bathroom cottage that sports incredible views, an oceanfront pool, hot tub, and spacious oceanfront trex deck.

The home is currently offered as a single family rental. Originally set up as duplex, a doorway INSIDE the home between the living rooms separates or connects the two sides. This allows you to enjoy and share your space, but also gives you the convenience and separation should you choose!
(TWO kitchens, TWO Living spaces!)

The layout includes two identical sides. This means there are two fully stocked kitchens (one on each side), and two family rooms (one on each side), with a doorway connecting the two sides that is accessible from inside the home.

The home was renovated in 2022 to include brand new kitchen cabinets and countertops, new floors through the home, new paint, and a brand new master bathroom on both East and West sides spring 2023. New decking and new roof! The home feels brand new.

Each master bedroom has a king bed, and its own, amazing, large private oceanfront covered balcony overlooking the pool and beach, with unobstructed views of the ocean. Each master bedroom has a brand new master bathroom put in the spring of 2023 with walk in shower, toilet, and single vanity.

Overall, EACH side hosts:

An OCEAN FRONT Master bedroom on the top floor, with private spacious balcony overlooking the pool and direct ocean views.
A second bedroom upstairs with two sets of twin bunk beds (4 twin beds total)
A third bedroom upstairs with queen bed.
A play area/ lounge room with daybed (floor space here will fit a standard size pack-n-play).
A first floor bedroom (with queen bed), convenient to the first floor bathroom and kitchen.

Totaling 8 bedrooms, 2 play/rec rooms, and 6 bathrooms.

Fully fenced in pool area for an added safety measure. You can walk right to the beach access without needed to enter the pool area. Great for young kids. Pool and hot tub are professionally cleaned and maintained 1-2x per week depending on season.

Pool can be heated for $650 per week, just let us know ahead of your stay if you'd like to add this! Custom pricing for shorter stays.

Desirable location within 10 minutes of shopping and groceries. Emerald Isle Boat ramp is right across the street!

We do have beach chairs that our guests are welcome to use.

Linens including bed sheets and bath towels, along with Turn down service with beds made, and cleaning included with stay!

Need baby equipment? Don't worry about lugging it all from home and use BabyQuip!
They rent pack-n-plays, strollers, high chairs, toys, and so much more! All professionally cleaned and sanitized, and delivered right to you at check in!


They can also provide things like beach towels, coolers, umbrellas, box fans, corn hole, and more!

We love staying at the Sandlot! This was our 3rd year renting this cottage and we have already booked it again for summer of 2026! We are a family of 8 adults and 7 grandchildren- the layout of the rooms/ bedrooms is perfect for us. The close proximity to the gorgeous beach is a plus, along with the fenced in pool. We highly recommend this cottage to rent!

We had the most amazing vacation here! The whole place is extremely calming, with a superb pool and hot tub that made it feel like a true getaway. The walk to the beach couldn’t be easier, it’s right on one of the best stretches of beach, and the lookout is so extraordinarily beautiful. One of the highlights was the master bedroom, you can literally see the beach right from the bed, like something straight out of a movie. Everything about this place is spectacular. We felt so cozy, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. Hands down one of the best stays we’ve ever had.

Wonderful home for our group! Everyone had the space they needed and the views and serenity were amazing! There was an issue with the pool heater but the hosts were very attentive and accomodating. Great vacation!

We spent a week at Sandlot. Excellent location. The views from the decks were fabulous. The pool and hot tub was an added bonus. Plenty of space for our group. We breakfast on the west side and dinner on the east side. Our only suggestion is need better cookware. Bigger frying pans and updated cooking pots and storage bowls with lids. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Emerald Isle.

The location. Pool and hot tub were a hit and the pool company came several times while we were there. The house was not very clean and we had to recast all the dishes before using. Also one side of the house had most of the kitchen supplies so we had to keep taking things back to our side. It would be nice if the cleaning people or those there before us would have split stuff up. Made it hard particularly in the mornings to make stuff whe. You discovered you did not have a dish or something to make an early breakfast. We had a great time and would stay again but I did think the house keeping could have done a better job

Great location

This property is amazing I would recommend all family’s to stay here! A very short walk to the beach which was amazing. The house also was very nice and clean. Dog friendly which made our whole vacation!

Disappointed

Did not live up to a high end place for money we paid. Sliding glass doors ocean side were a huge struggle to open and with broken locks. One shower had standing water which was resolved towards end of stay. Mold on fence and siding. Ants a big problem around pool. Would not stay again.

Beach Wedding

The home is beautiful and comfortable. Master suites have an incredible view! Spent a lot of time in the pool (heated) and hot tub. Plenty of room for everyone (10 adults) to live comfortably for 4 days. Kitchens were well equipped and plenty of bath towels provided.

Awesome Beach House!

This was the perfect place for our family! We used the decks, pool and beach access every day. Having two kitchens was ideal since we have a family member with an extreme food allergy. Beautiful location and we enjoyed awesome sunrises and sunsets throughout the week.

What is missing...

There needs to be more glasses in both areas. There definitely needs to be wine glasses...there were absolutely no glasses appropriate for wine. Clearly, people rent both sides: one side had all the plates, the other side had more than its share of pots. Very frustrating. (We did try to leave with both sides equally distributed with glasses and dishes.) Honestly, if every bed is filled, there are not enough dishes for everyone. That said, we did enjoy the cottages. The beds were comfortable and it was clear that the owners had spent a significant amount of money fixing the place up.

Beautiful home kid friendly

The home was very clean , and just steps from the beach , the heated pool and Hottub was awesome! The only thing I would suggest is that you bring dish towels and maybe a few bath towels and rags, there wasn’t many of those. But we had an amazing week and would definitely go back!

Best weekend of our lives

We can’t thank Aaron and Stephanie enough. This was the perfect house with perfect views for our intimate wedding weekend. We called twice due to needing maintenance and Aaron picked right up and communicated so well about when they’d be there. This was our first big “group” vacation and everything was beyond perfect and we’re already looking at dates for next summer to stay again.

Lots of the little things just not right - the hot tub didn’t work, the grill was nasty and unusable, there were red ants all over the pool deck, half of the house had a mildewy/wet-dog smell to it, and the sliding glass doors were so grimy and weathered in the track system they were very hard to open and close. It took several phone calls to the management company, and messages to the owner, to finally get someone to come out to the home. They were not able to fix the hot tub, they had one can of pest spray which didn’t put much of a dent in the ants, they sprayed WD-40 on the sliding glass doors but that didn’t improve the ease of opening. They did clean the grill good enough to use, so some credit there I guess. If you are looking for a lot of bedrooms right on the water with a pool, and you don’t care about the details, this house is sufficient for that. But for the price we paid, I expected better.

Sun, Sand, and Surf

Thank you, Stephanie, for a wonderful vacation in your beach home. We all thoroughly enjoyed everything, from the fantastic communication, your generous hospitality, and the well appointed (and extremely comfortable) accommodations. The heated pool was worth every penny, the hot tub was a huge hit, the rocking chairs were loved by all, the gates were certainly appreciated with a toddler, and the proximity of the beach couldn’t have been any better! We hope to return again soon 😊

Excellent and cozy cottage

Our first time in Emerald Isle and it will not be our last! This cottage was perfect and so comfortable. The view from the master bedroom in the morning is stunning, and the private deck off the master is an added touch. We loved the added feature of the pool as well. Plenty of bedrooms and amenities in a relatively small footprint. Recently remodeled, everything was a pleasure and just about perfect, seriously. Emerald Island is also a gem, quiet, beautiful and friendly. You cannot go wrong with the wonderful cottage!

Beautiful home!

Our family has rented a beach home every summer for many years. This was the best yet! It felt like home for our growing extended family. It was super clean when we arrived and even had some necessities that most homes don’t provide (hand soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.), so we didn’t need to run out asap to purchase them. The pool was great for the children when we weren’t on the beach. Overall an excellent stay and we hope to book again soon!

Awesome!

We really loved the Trex decking and vinyl on the decks. No slivers!!! Pool and hot tub was a bonus! The common areas were appropriate size for 8 people. Other than the master bedroom the other bedrooms were quite tiny. We made it work though. Also, expected the master bath to be bigger. All in all, we were pleased with the units.
