Villa River by Interhome
This cabin offers a peaceful riverside location, a spacious yard, and a private sauna — the perfect escape from everyday life without unnecessary frills. A cozy and practical 60 m² cabin located about 77 km east of Oulu, by the Utosjoki River in Sanginkylä village. The center of Utajärvi municipality is about 18 km away.
The cabin features a living room, open-plan kitchen, and one bedroom with two 80 cm wide beds, plus a sofa bed (140 cm) in the living room. The bathroom has an electric sauna, and there is also a separate WC.
Built in 2000 and renovated in 2016, the cabin includes a covered terrace that provides shelter from the rain and a large yard with plenty of space to relax and enjoy outdoor activities.
The cabin is situated on the banks of the Utosjoki River, with a pier about 30 meters from the terrace. Access to the pier is via a steep riverbank slope, so caution is required when descending. The river bottom is soft sand and deepens quickly, so children should be carefully supervised. Guests have access to a rowing boat (please remember to pull it ashore after use) and an outdoor storage.
Come and enjoy the riverside scenery and cabin life — welcome! Please bring your own charcoal if you wish to use the kettle grill. Exercise caution on the access road during the spring thaw.

The surrounding area features an extensive network of forest roads for jogging and mountain biking, with berry and mushroom-picking areas nearby. The nearest state-owned hunting areas are located in Utajärvi, Muhos, Vaala, and Puolanka. The Utosjoki River is stocked with rainbow trout in summer, and fishing permits can be purchased from the owner.
Valkeinen Recreation Area is about 8 km away and offers a swimming beach, trampoline, and swings for children, a campfire site with a lean-to, and on certain summer days, a kiosk selling fishing permits (for rainbow trout and whitefish) and renting SUP boards and rowing boats.
The 18-hole Frisbee golf course near central Utajärvi (Siiransaari area) is 18 km away. In June, the UntoRock festival is held at the Utajärvi Ice Hall, about 18.5 km away. Oulujokilaakso Golf in Muhos is 42 km away.
Rokua National Park is about 43 km away, offering hiking, mountain biking, the Rokua UNESCO Global Geopark, and excellent porcini mushroom picking in good mushroom years. The Hepoköngäs Waterfall in Puolanka is about 75 km away.
