About this property
Rustikales Landhaus Tjäder Lilla Sandereds by Interhome
type of building: Detached house. size of property: 480000m². year of construction: 2010. Owner lives on the property. no group bookings. no youth groups.
The property, a former farm, is about 7km from Loftahammar in the Västerviks municipality right in the Baltic Sea skerries. It also has 40 hectares of forest and has a skerry coast of around 1.5km. It is on the north-east coast of Småland near Västervik and Loftahammar, a paradise for fishing enthusiasts. The village is by a bay, in the midst of a beautiful landscape called “Norra Tjust” with its rocks and many islands. It is very quiet here in spring and autumn. The local population goes about their work and tourism consists of sports fishermen from around Europe, mainly catching pike and bass. The forest will entice you with mushrooms and berries and the sea invites you to swim.
The big meadow site on the edge of the forest also comprises an identical neighbouring house about 70 metres away, among three further houses. It has its own, partially covered terrace, which cannot be looked into directly by the neighbouring house, with garden furniture for sitting and relaxing and a wonderful view of the forest and meadow. You can park on site by the house.
The holiday house can accommodate six people. The master bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a wardrobe. The other two smaller bedrooms each have a bunk bed. The open living and dining room with an open kitchen provides a sofa suite with armchairs, satellite TV and a dining table with six chairs. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and dishwasher. The bathroom comprises a shower, washbasin and toilet. There is also a washing machine for shared use with guests from a neighbouring house, in a separate building.
The private bay by Horsö Brygga has a new and private mooring for the use of all guests. The property has its own ca. 1.5km stretch of coast and fishing rights. It is about a 400-metre walk along a path to the boat harbour, or along a country road. Fishing is permitted from the coast by boat without a fishing permit. Fishing or leisure boats can be hired for trips into the skerries. It is a few minutes by boat from the Horsö Brygga boat harbour to the cliff islands by the coast. You can swim, sunbathe and fish in virtual solitude in open nature, as long as the weather permits it. The forest if full of mushrooms and berries in season. You can also go swimming by the sandy beaches in the area, such as e.g. Flatvarp, Ytterby, Halmare and Tättö. Trip destinations include the glass world in Småland, the Astrid Lindgren World in Vimmerby for children (ca. 70km), Linköping, the fifth-largest town in Sweden, including the aircraft museum (SAAB) and shopping facilities (ca. 100km), Kolmårdens Zoo with a safari park and Delphinarium near Norrköping (ca. 125km), and of course Stockholm about 180km away along good roads. The little village only has ca. 800 inhabitants officially and belongs to Västervik, but has its own harbour, three restaurants, a golf course, a spa, a supermarket, a bakery. Due to its location, the village plays an important role locally. In summer Loftahammar really blossoms and offers its many visitors a wide range of activities. Boat trips into the skerries, a 9-hole golf course with all bells and whistles, fishing, swimming, hiking etc. Taking a boat into the skerries for a picnic is a special experience, anchoring by a little island and enjoying the peace and quiet. In Loftahammer you can get fresh and smoked fish from local fishermen, fresh bread from the bakery, delicious meals in the restaurants, and local crafts. There is a well-stocked supermarket open daily in summer from 8am to 8pm.
