This seaside cottage is actually a small villa from 1920. This holiday home was redesigned and refurbished in 2023.It stands alone on a fully fenced property surrounded by high hedges and equipped with an electric garden gate.It is within walking distance (about 1000 m) to the Baltic Sea / Geltinger Bay. There are 2 sailing boat harbours and 1 surfing and sailing school 2 km away. Otherwise it is almost alone (only 4 houses) in the nature (the deer come up to the garden fence) at the gates of Gelting. Therefore, despite its secluded location, it is still very central: 150 metres from the nearest good café and restaurant and only about 1200 metres from Lidl, the pharmacy, the butcher, the doctor and the tourist office.Directly from the holiday home there are wonderful cycling and hiking tours along the Baltic Sea or through the largest Schleswig Holstein nature reserve "Geltinger Birk". Even in the high season it is not overcrowded here and you will still find plenty of space.Beach chair and DLRG - supervised beaches can be found approx. 4 - 5 km away.A fantastic highlight is the conservatory, from which you can let your gaze wander over the beautiful landscape. Here alone you can spend the whole holiday, relaxing and enjoying.Furthermore, this holiday home offers a beautiful eat-in kitchen, a living room with fireplace and smart TV, 1 dining room with piano and large dining table, 3 toilets and 2 walk-in showers, a sauna room and 3 bedrooms, one of which also has a smart TV.On the property you will find sunbeds and garden furniture to relax and as natural sun protection fruit trees and a large elm tree.Gelting - a recognised resort - is located on the Baltic Sea and the Geltinger Birk. Here you can swim in the Baltic Sea, walk along the beautiful sandy beach and your children can dig in the sand or collect shells. You will find a nudist beach (approx. 4 km away) and some beaches guarded by the DLRG during the season (approx. 5 km away). In the nature reserve "Geltinger Birk" you can hike and observe birds (e.g. comorants, 2 sea eagles, wild geese, great white egrets, redshanks, lapwings, dunlins,...) and unspoilt nature (highland cattle, wild horses, twisted trees, e.t.c.). The Falshöft lighthouse (approx. 5 km away), where over 300 couples get married every year, as well as the Charlotte mill or simply your house can be used as a starting point for interesting hikes through the Geltinger Birk. The many hiking and cycling trails through the marvellous nature along the Baltic Sea or across meadows and fields invite you to enjoy relaxing hikes and cycling tours. You will find good restaurants in Gelting (1 km). For your daily needs you will find a bakery, butcher, post office, supermarket, pharmacy and doctors in Gelting. Sailors will find many opportunities to practise their sport here. There are marinas in Gelting, Wackerballig and Maasholm. And there is also a sailing school in Maasholm. Excursion destinations in the area - Kappeln - a cute little town on the Schlei is the starting point for excursions, also by paddle steamer. - Maasholm - a small historic fishing village. It lies at the mouth of the Schlei. - Flensburg - a town with picturesque alleyways and merchants' yards, historic houses and museums and a small, beautiful and central harbour not far from the very long pedestrian zone with cosy shops, pubs and good restaurants. - Glücksburg - with the interesting moated castle. - Förde Therme in Glücksburg. - Schleswig - the Viking town: Gottorf Castle with baroque garden and globe house; cathedral with the famous Brüggemann altar; old town; Holm fishing settlement; Haithabu the Viking settlement. - Unewatt Museum Village - Bismarck Tower in Quern (viewing platform) - golf courses in Glücksburg and Rabenkirchen - Denmark
