About the property
- House4000 sqft
- Half Baths0
- Minimum Stay3 - 4 nights
Large enough to host family reunions, church retreats, or even small weddings.
Located 125 yards from main street downtown, 1/2 mile to the area's grocery store, and a 1/4 mile from the marina and public boat ramp.
It's convenient yet private. The house is positioned on a hill that offers a panoramic view of Douglas Lake with the three highest peaks of the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine in the background, and a back yard that extends down to the lake. The back deck and patio are great areas to entertain a large group or just relax with a book and take in the view.
Just as Dandridge is a mix of old and new, we have tried to accomplish the same at Stone's View. Our goal was to keep the charm of this 1930's home with all the modern amenities to create a truly special place. There are three large gathering areas for entertaining, two kitchens, a 1,800 sq ft patio area, and a 300 sq ft deck off the living room area.
The home offers seven bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 16 and 5 full bathrooms. The home has four master suite bedrooms with en-suite baths; one of the bedrooms has its own private deck and large soaking tub.
For the chef, the kitchen is well equipped with new and convenient appliances and cookware. There is plenty of capacity with two ranges and two refrigerators.
The best Stone's View has to offer is the inner peace and joy you'll experience seating on the deck or patio watching the birds catch their lunch, the occasional deer and turkey grazing, or maybe a glimpse of bald eagles that nest in the area. We hope you visit us and experience the unique qualities of the Great Smokey Mountains, Douglas Lake, and historic Dandridge at Stone's View.

About Kent Maples
Our family is from East Tennessee. We live just 20 minutes from Stone's View. We stay there often, and continually look for ways to upgrade and enhance our guest's stay.
Kent Maples purchased this House in 2012
Why Kent Maples chose Dandridge
Dandridge exemplifies small town USA; it has a proud, unique historic past and is protective of its heritage. My wife and I love to take walks; we're entertained by the cities nuances and in awe of the lakes natural beauty. We find it very convenient to have two marinas within 1.5 miles to rent various kinds of boats and accessories. The public boat ramp is less than a mile away for those who have their own water craft.
What makes this House unique
The view captured our interest in Stone's View. If it's having your morning coffee and seeing the sunrise or having an evening cocktail with a special someone watching the sunset, you'll be sure to create memorable moments taking in the view.

Great property, Loved the great experience with my family.
The owner Mr. Kent lives Next Door. Very Responsive & Helpful. Will Visit again this Fall. Highly Recommend this Property.
Beautifully made and decorated and thoughtfully managed. Perfect!
We rented this property and the one next door from the same owners to host our wedding at and we could not have been more impressed! The houses are just beautiful and the owners were so thoughtful! Could not recommend more!
My Family LOVED the 2 houses we rented from the Maples!
We had a wonderful time! Beautiful view ! Wonderful - warm & cozy houses!!!!!!!
Fully stocked w/ everything you would need to cook with in the kitchen.
Super cute little town too :)
Tranquil, lovely and roomy
Dandridge is truly the quiet side of the Smokies, but only 5 minutes from I-40. Stoneview is such a lovely historic home with charm and all the modern updates, beautifully and tastefully decorated plus great views of the lake- the online photos truly do not do it justice. The layout is very accommodating for families and/or large groups.
Forget all those plain cookie-cutter condos and rental chalets with contractor-grade furnishings! Stay in your dream mountain lake home instead! The Maples are very gracious hosts! Smokies attractions are a scenic lake or country side drive away, about half an hour. And Food City is less than three minutes away for all your grocery needs. Go back to the good old days without leaving behind modern/luxurious amenities and remember why you actually loved the Tennessee mountains.
We just spent thanksgiving week here! The house is beautiful! The kitchen had plenty of utensils to cook with and the entire house was very clean! There were 17 of us and we didn’t feel cramped at all! Kent was super easy to work with and made sure that our stay was great! You can’t beat the views at this place either! Sitting on the back deck felt like we were looking at a postcard! We enjoyed plenty of time hanging out by the firepit too while the kids roasted s’mores in the beautiful brick outdoor fireplace. Wonderful stay overall.
This place was amazing and such a wonderful place for our family to spend time together. The view is breathtaking and the house is so clean and so beautifully decorated. We plan to return!
Our home is located in the historic City of Dandridge overlooking Douglas Lake. Being Tennessee's second oldest city, you will find that Dandridge has its fair share of history. Dandridge was named in honor of our country's first First Lady, Martha Dandridge Washington. It is a National Historic District. The city's most iconic building is the Jefferson County Courthouse. It was completed in 1845 in Greek Revival architecture. This is one of the many historic buildings you can see from our front porch. Four of the original taverns highlight the walking tour of the historic district. Dandridge provides a delightful mixture of old and new. The courthouse contains a free museum displaying historic artifacts from many area of Jefferson County. Maybe one would prefer a carriage ride of the historic district based from a cafe where you can also utilize their high-speed wireless internet connection. Tinsley-Bible Drug Store is celebrating their 103rd anniversary.
This old fashioned drug store takes you back to “when times were great”. Guests are served breakfast and lunch at their old fashioned soda fountain
counter and booths; just across the bridge from down town you'll find a full service marina that allows guests to rent boats, wave runners, skiis and more.
ESPN hosts two fishing tournaments each year that validates the lake's great reputation for fishing.
From your house, walk down town to hear free concerts from local artists as well as buy locally grown produce at the farmers market on Saturdays.
The Nation's most visited National Park is just minutes away including Pigeon Forge which offers Dollywood theme park and water park, the second largest outlet center in the US (Tanger Outlets), plus much much more.
