Situated on a quiet cul-de-sac in reputable neighborhood of Garibaldi Estates, our sunny suite is on the main floor level of our home.
The double sliding doors are the main entrance to the suite at the garden side of the house. Outside is a large covered patio with a barbeque and plenty of comfy outdoor furniture over-looking the dog friendly back yard complete with fire-ring and back gate leading to the edge of the nearby naturalized golf course.
The living room, with 42” flat screen TV, stereo, lots of relaxing furniture including a double futon (available for extra sleeping upon request), has 3 large windows enabling extreme views to the west of the Tantalus Range. Views to the northwest allow a glimpse of Atwell Peak towering above 2,000 sq. kilometers of Garibaldi Provincial Park’s pristine nature.
The open concept kitchen/dining area is spacious and comprises a counter peninsula with stools for a casual breakfast. Down the hallway to the modern and bright 4-piece bathroom and comfortable bedroom (with Queen sized bed) includes space to settle in with a double closet. Wake up in the sun to views from the large window that embraces a southeast glimpse of Mt. Habrich behind The Chief.
The entire suite is decorated in original art created by designer/artist/instructor Toby Jaxon, one of the owners. On request, Private or group Art lessons are also available by Toby.

About the owner: Just over eighteen years ago, after experiencing the hustle of bustle of Vancouver ‘West End’ city life, we started looking for a place to settle down and have a family. Designer idealists, and still working in the urban environment, we wanted to move to an ocean town, close to the slopes, close to the ferries and close to the wilderness. The choice to move to Squamish became obvious pretty quickly and over the years our sleepy little town has grown into a bit of an economic hub in our valley corridor. Cultivating a life magnetized by our surroundings, we are now fully entrenched in the local “Sea to Sky” lifestyle that merges work & play with arts, culture, sports and solitude. Our active modest family, comprising of artist mom, electrician dad, 15 year old lucky boy and heeler ‘Ginja-Roo’ are excited to share our amazing community with you! Artist Toby Jaxon affirms, “Nature is alive with vibrating colour and animating spirit; this observation is confirmed in the views I enjoy from my own backyard and informs many of my canvasses.” Her compositions are derived from vastness and mystery of nature. The under-painting lurks, popping sporadically, enough to persuade unification through the entire piece. Forward she develops a relationship of naïve colour shapes, in a variety of sometimes thick deliberate strokes, creating a dynamic rendition, a shock effect that changes the visual experience. Toby Jaxon’s canvas scenes flourish in vivid contrasting colour and multiple perspective.

Why did we buy this year round sun-filled home on a quiet cul-de-sac in the most desirable neighborhood of Squamish? For starters it’s centrally located and very easy to get to from Highway 99, nestled in the mountain valley just minutes from access to hiking, mountain biking or fishing. Our home, situated in a walking friendly flat neighborhood is just a short stroll to lots of amenities such as shopping, groceries, coffee shops, spas, post office, liquor store, pubs and about a dozen restaurants! We certainly enjoy having a large backyard filled with mature evergreens, blooming wisteria, magnolia and fruit trees, fully fenced to contain welcome furry friends. Although our suite is not officially accessible, it is located on the main level (of our 2 story home) which makes for easy entry for persons with limited mobility. We also have a large driveway with plenty of parking.
