Incredible Vista (576527) has one of the best views of any of our one bedroom cabins. From the deck of Incredible Vista, you can see the entire Tennessee side of the Great Smoky National Park. The deck has a 2-Person Hot Tub and is 100% private due to a privacy wall. The deck has a two person hot tub.

Incredible Vista is located in the middle of 100 acres of virgin forest but is, almost unbelievably, only 3 minutes from traffic light #1 in downtown Gatlinburg and 9 minutes from traffic light #10 in Pigeon Forge.

Go to traffic light #1 in Gatlinburg. Turn (the only way you can turn). Go ¾ of a mile to Kristis Place on the left. (If you get to an apartment complex, you have gone too far.) Turn left and go 1/3 of a mile.

Incredible Vista is the second cabin on the right.

Check-in: There is a lockbox next to the door. The key to the cabin is inside the lockbox. Open the lockbox, take out the key, and go in. Check-in is that simple. Please text (865) 253-4626 several hours before your arrival with your cabin name for the most recent lockbox code and cleaning schedule. We are flexible on check-in and check-out times. Usually check-in is at 4pm but you can come in as soon as it is cleaned. Usually check-out is at 10am but we can often arrange a later time.

Pet Fee: Pets are welcome. Please add $48 to the total for the pet fee.

WIFI: We have Verizon Jetpacks for WIFI which can handle up to 10 devices at one time. We ask that you not download movies or videos though as each movie costs us approximately $30 once we go over our monthly limit.

Cancellation Policy: If you have to cancel, please give us as much notice as possible. We will return all of the deposit for all of the nights that we can rebook.

Reservations: To make a reservation, please send a request via email to the manager requesting the specific cabin and dates and wait for a responding email confirming the reservation. SENDING THE DEPOSIT DOES NOT MAKE THE RESERVATION. We make the reservation for the party who EMAILS us first requesting the reservation, not the one which sends the deposit first. Thank you.

Deposit: If you make a reservation, we ask people to send 50% of the total (or more if you wish) as a deposit. You can pay by check or credit or debit card if you have a PayPal account.

About Edward Bates

We have completed a Revolutionary, 4-part business plan.

Originally, we built these cabins 22 years ago and rented them for $99.00 a night. We quickly developed a loyal clientele who returned year-after-year and sometimes several times a year. We were packed. We then changed to a management company which raised the prices and added extra fees and we lost our loyal clientele from the '90s.

Now, here's our Revolutionary, 4-Part Business Plan.

First, we created a product that is much better than it was in the '90s. We completely restored the cabins to a condition even better than when they were new. Also, we reengineered the road to meet the highest city standards. Finally, we installed WIFI and 2-LED HDTVs in each cabin, one 50' in size.

Second, we removed the trees in front and beside the cabins to create, arguably, the best 180 degree view of the Great Smoky Mountains anywhere.

Third, we decided not to require that the guests put the typical $100.00-$500.00 security deposit, purchase $39.00 insurance policy, or even a submit a credit card number! Everything's on the honor system! That's why the final bill is so low. The honor system is working. Not one item has been stolen or broken!

Finally, we made the most Revolutionary move. We fired our management company, listed our cabins with VRBO and slashed prices LOWER than in the '90s! Most nights are offered at $98.00! As a result, we have booked over 1,000 nights in the past 3 months and received over 80 5-Star Reviews! We are developing a new, loyal clientele that is already rebooking for next year. This allows us to spend less time marketing and more time continuing to improve the property to the highest standards possible.

Our corporate mission is the same as the Apple and Disney Corporations: to offer a great product at a great price and make people happy. Our 40+ 5 Star Reviews and repeat clientele show that its working. Please join our family of friends who vacation with us over and over.

Why Edward Bates chose East

The Great Smoky Mountains are our great love and passion. We believe you will fall in love with them too. The greatest compliment we have received on the property has come from about a dozen guests over the past three years who have asked, 'Is this a part of the National Park?' The boundary between our Property and the National Park is almost indistinguishable. The photos are real and not retouched. Our forest appears to be contiguous with the National Park. We truly have one of the best views and one of the best locations in America.

Overall - good!

  • 4 of 5

I have stayed in many cabins in southeast Ohio and also the Smoky Mountains. This one ranks somewhere in the upper middle. The views are nice and we absolutely loved being able to spend time on the deck, sipping coffee and watching the clouds roll over the mountains. Very peaceful. The fire damage is disheartening, though the hillsides are filling in with green, which is great to see. The cabin is also very close to Gatlinburg, which is a huge plus. We did not take the trolleys, but the owners provided the routes for guests to see. The cabin itself is nice, with it’s full kitchen and very comfortable king-sized bed. We had some of the best nights of sleep that we’ve had in a while. That being said, we found a few things that were broken or needed a little attention. Nothing that ruined our trip, but might have soured it a bit. The hot tub did not seem to have enough water in it (comparing to others that I’ve been in) and the chemicals were so strong that the fumes burned our eyes. We only went in it once. I bought a DVD in one of the gift shops about area waterfalls, hoping to watch it once I got back to the cabin. As a photographer, that is something that I would have found great value in. Unfortunately, there were no component cables connecting the DVD player to the TV. Some of the other issues have been mentioned in other reviews. Like I mentioned, the cabin IS nice and overall we had a great stay. We would even stay in the same cabin again.

Owner's Response: We have reduced the amount of chlorine in the hot tubs and replaced the HDMI cord to the DVD player. We ask guests to let us know if anything is missing or wrong and we replace or fix it immediately. We live on the property and are only 2 minutes away. We have replaced all of the flooring and appliances in the cabin, replaced the deck on the front of the cabin, put an entirely new roof on that deck, built an entirely new deck on the side of the cabin and put a new roof over it (the decks are now over 500 square feet) and replaced the old 2--person hot tub with a new 5 person hot tub. We have done so much repair and renovation since the wildfires of late 2016 that most people can not tell that this cabin sustained damage in those fires. When they see a few things that might not be perfect they don't realize that these items are the last on our list from the renovations after the fire. However, nearly everyone has been great. They have been very supportive of our rebuilding efforts and come back year after year as you can see from the vast majority of the reviews.

Best location in Gatlinburg with views of Mt. LeConte and town!

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I really enjoyed our short getaway. The view is great even looking at the burnt sections of the area. The cabin is perfect size for a couple. There is only a small section of the porch that's allows the cabin above to see anyone at the cabin. Privacy is really great. The bed is a king size and sleeps well.

The owners are very friendly, the view was amazing, the cabin was cozy, the pool table was fun, very close to town but still very private. Enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful view

  • 3 of 5

The property had a beautiful view as promised. Cabin was nice and cozy but not the quiet I was hoping for. There were a lot of little things that happened while we were there that needed attention. Nothing major but I did feel like it put a damper on our trip. Lots of texts from Ed to us and us to Ed, he was very helpful and responsive but it just seemed if it wasn't one thing it was another. Then the last day of our trip the winds were bad and park was closed amongst other things which obviously there is nothing you can do about weather. I saw in other reviews where Ed mentioned he was doing some repairs on things. I think once he has all these in place it will be nice. No workers will be around and when the wind blows you won't have to worry about all the dust blowing in the door that another renter talked about. Enjoyed our visit to the mountains, disappointed in our trip overall.

Owner's Response: The repairs, renovations and new additions to this cabin after the 2016 fire were completed in May, 2017. On May 4, 2017 we had near record, 98 MPH winds. Many structures in Gatlinburg were destroyed and two trees went down on our road which we cleared in about 30 minutes. Our all-log cabins are built like fortresses and the only damage they sustained was the loss of about a half a dozen shingles and some dust that came in under one door.
