This property and the owner are absolutely amazing. Right on the water. Beautiful views. Plenty of room. Fully upgraded kitchen. The home has beautiful colorful walls and newer furniture. We had a wonderful week with not a care in the world. Thank you Buckinghams. You really do it right.

Peaceful Comfort

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful space that embraces all the beauty of the Adirondacks while providing the comforts of home at the same time. A gorgeous clear lake with a wonderful sandy bottom at the shore. Swim out to the float, canoe the lake or take out the motorized raft for a sunset cruise. Then come home to the top notch kitchen and cook a wonderful meal and relax with a movie in the large and airy family room. Wrap up your day with a soak in the deep tub overlooking the lake and crawl into the incredibly comfortable beds and fall asleep to the sounds of the loons. This is where you come to relax!

On a practical note the house is extremely clean, the sheets and towels are plentiful and of good quality, the kitchen is stocked with all the tools you need for preparing excellent meals, the dishwasher and washer and dryer make things easy, the beds are comfortable with new mattresses, and the bathrooms are very clean and modern with plenty of hot water.

We plan to come back!

Our family

Star Lake is a beautiful lake. The house had plenty of space for our large group and was well equipped with all we needed. It is a perfect spot for kids of all ages. We had children 18 months to 6. The water access was perfect for them. My 94 year old father was with us and it was a good fit for him. The floating dock was awesome, and he was able to be part of that. The little ones loved the sandbar.

We spent most of our time at the house. We went out for breakfast in Cranberry Lake. There are lots of waterfalls to explore in the area and other Adirondack attractions within a minimal driving distance. The owner was very helpful and answered any questions that we had. We would definitely come for a return visit!
