About Robert Lober
We are long term residents of Lake Tahoe (Elise 23 years, Rob 27 years). Although we have known each other for a long time, we are relative newlyweds (5 years). Elise remodeled Buena Vista in 2007, we both lived there until July of 2014 when we moved into a new house just down the street - designed by Elise, built by Rob. Elise is a local architect, Rob wears many hats, currently doing some commercial flying, selling real estate, and helping to manage a small family business. We are both very outdoor oriented and love all that Tahoe has to offer. Currently much of our free time is spent raising our eight year old son/step son. We could not be happier. We are happy to share all of our local knowledge with you and feel confident that your stay in Tahoe will be memorable.
Robert Lober purchased this House in 1995

This place is awesome ......I give it 5 stars !
Me and my wife have never seen a place like this or visited like to hoe before .It was spectacular, we rented a car and we visited a lot of the places around Lake Tahoe. Including the ski resort areas mount rose ,squall Valley ,and also heavenly. If you get a chance you need to visit a little town North of crystal Bay call Truckee
Amazing views, comfort level of living kitchen area.
We had 4 couples, scored the master. Two other terrific bedrooms. I small room but the couple in there was happy too. Very very nice. Parking and access to the main road is a little tough.
Beautiful spot for a vacation.
Enjoyed a great week at this beautiful home. Very comfortable and the owners were very responsive if we needed something. Conveniently located to many activities and great restaurants. It is a wonderful place to stay. Thank you.
Insane views, beautifully built and decorated cabin, wonderful amenities!
We couldn't have asked for a better location, cabin, views, and hosts for this amazing getaway. Waking up overlooking the water every morning, having breakfast on the porch, relaxing in the Jacuzzi tub, this place was a relaxation destination for sure! The hosts, Robert and Elise were tentative and helpful if we needed anything. They live and work nearby, so if we needed anything, they were there for us. This house is a gem, and we felt right at home with this place. Couldn't recommend it enough!!
Views were breathtaking & Master Suite is to die for!
So, views from the home and the location were amazing!! The kitchen was great to cook w/, BBQ had propane tanks full and easy to use! Robert was awesome and brought us a roll out bed as a friend stayed for one night w/us after a great day skiing! The fireplace was awesome!! Oh and did I mention how amazingly beautiful the views were from this home!!
My boyfriend and I paid extra to have the master bedroom and bath and was worth every penny!! We ending up sharing the bathroom w/our entire party for everyone to enjoy the bathtub and shower w/steam. We were planning to share the TV for the kids to hang out while the adults had some adult time cooking and cleaning upstairs that as advertised to come w/the master suite but, NO TV at all except one smaller one upstairs which was disappointing. Our friends had master downstairs but, frig was broken, no TV , and shower was older and broken as well, the only way to access the downstairs master is down the stairs and outside only which is great in summer, but little more challenging in the snow/winter months.
Close to grocery store, Diamond Peak, Mount Rose, restaurants, casinos, and Tahoe City!! The credit for skiing at Diamond Peak was much appreciated as well as owners being great for extending our trip one more night at a very fair rate!
WE would love to come back to this property again, and just hope the downstairs Master gets updated or, at least broken issues gets repaired, my only other suggestion TV's in both masters for news, and to keep kids busy w/Movies, etc... if need be after a great day on the slopes!
Overall - we love this home and look forward to coming back!! Thank you very much to the owners Elise & Robert for sharing your beautiful home w/us!
Wonderful Vacation Home!
Our family of 8 spent a week at Rob & Elise's beautiful home. The layout of the bedrooms was perfect to allow privacy and each had views of the lake. The breathtaking views were such a treat to wake up to and enjoy from every spot in the house. We cooked all of our meals and found the kitchen to be fully stocked with everything we needed. We did a number of day hikes from trails within 20 min. or so and our favorite was the 4 miles trail at Emerald Bay. We spent one day at the Burnt Cedar beach which is truly one of the nicest beaches on the lake. We also took a lovely sunset cruise on the "Safari Rose". If you are considering a cruise, this is the BEST one! Our only negative experience was our day trip to Heavenly for the "EPIC Summer" attractions. Half the attractions were closed and the lines were 2 and 3 hours long- don't waste your money! The highlight of our trip was truly the time at the house, sitting on the deck, sharing family meals, watching the Olympics and playing board games.
Located in the heart of America's playground, this North Lake Tahoe home is within easy driving distance of world class skiing, mountain biking, and a plethora of other outdoor activities. Numerous summer and winter events are held nearby throughout the year. Fine restaurants, casinos, and nightlife are also available. Walking distance to private lake access. Nowhere else in the world can you find so many activities so close by. Our personal recommendations: Skiing - Squaw Valley, Diamond Peak XC Skiing - Royal Gorge, Tahoe XC Mountain Biking - The Flume Trail Kayaking - right out front Paddle Boarding - right out front Fishing - right out front for trout, charter for Mackinaw Sailing - anywhere in the afternoon Waterskiing - right out front in the morning Parasailing - Kings Beach or Hyatt in Incline Village Rafting - Truckee River Tahoe City Hiking - numerous trails throughout the Sierra Casinos - Hyatt Incline Village Live Music - Crystal Bay Club Outdoor Music - Kings beach, Tahoe City, Truckee, Squaw Valley Live theater - Shakespeare at Sand Harbor
