---This fantastic unit is fully equipped to deliver an awesome Maui vacation. Pacific Shores is safe, secure, clean and you cannot beat the location. The unit sleeps 4 comfortably with a queen size bed in the bedroom and a sleeper sofa with topper in the living room. In addition, the unit has been remodeled in recent years with newer cabinets, granite counter tops, travertine floors in the kitchen and bathroom. If you choose not to eat at South Maui's awesome restaurants, many within walking distance, you can use the fully stocked kitchen to cook your own meals. The kitchen has a flat top range, oven, garbage disposer and dishwasher, coffee maker to enjoy Kona coffee, and blender for some tropical concoctions. Enjoy your meals at the bistro table or the bar. Although most of the time Kihei has steady trade winds that keep the unit comfortable, the unit is equipped with an AC unit in the living room and ceiling fans in both the living/dining room and bedroom. You can also relax on the lanai (porch) and enjoy the island weather even more. After an awesome day at the beach you can check your emails with our high speed Wi-fi or chill and watch tv on the new flat screen. The unit is centrally located in Kihei and walking distance to many activities, beaches, shopping and restaurants.

About Brandon Stout

Originally from North Carolina, I've been blessed with the opportunity to stay near the ocean my entire life. I grew up on the coast of NC and have lived in St. Augustine, Florida and Costa Rica but Maui is home. I made the move to Maui in 2003. We live nearby and love to share our extensive knowledge of all that Maui has to offer. My free time is filled with surfing, stand up paddling, bbq's with friends, hanging with family, traveling and hiking in Haleakala Crater. Maui is No Ka 'Oi (the best)! My wife is a jewelry designer and has a retail location in the westside town of Lahaina. Our daughter is currently in 1st grade and loves to swim, play soccer and is quite the artist. My family welcomes your family to enjoy a memorable vacation in South Maui. We will do everything possible to make sure that happens! Aloha

Why Brandon Stout chose South Maui

I chose to buy at Pacific Shores because you simply cannot beat the location. It is literally a few minute walk to pristine beaches and views. The complex has an awesome swimming pool, hot tub, gazebo and bbq area and the grounds are full of tropical landscape. It's quiet, safe and secure. In the rare times our unit isn't rented we love to have a little staycation at Pacific Shores!

What makes this condo unique

I love being able to walk for a longboard session to Cove Park or just going for a swim right across the street at Charley Young Beach. My wife loves that we can walk to some really great restaurants in the evening. And of course my daughter will not get out of the pool for hours.

Great spot

Everything was in order here. The owner of this unit was immediately available for any questions we had. Pool is great, close to the beach, a guest parking space for my other vehicle as we are re-locating on Maui here in Kihei again. AC works great, washer, dryer, all kitchen utensils in good supply. All things considered, good rating.

Convenient location, clean unit

The unit was located the top floor and looked down beautiful trees and flowers over the parking lot. Also it's away from street so no trafic noise. Many grocery stores and good restaurants near by. Brandon was very nice and checked in with me time to time even though he was off island. Bed was very soft. Probably it's usual practice in Maui but it was a little warm in the unit for people from main land like me despite of air conditioning in living room and bedroom.

Beaches in Maui were beautiful and food especially seafood was fresh and tasty.

Mango, pineapple were much more sweet than you can get in main land.

Nice spacious apartment with all the necessities

We had a pleasant stay for 10 day in this close to the beach 4th floor apartment. Convenient parking. Apartment was clean and well stocked.

However the grounds and surroundings could be better maintained. Landscaping is marginal and the parking lot needs cleaning. Pool enclosure at one point where a gate supposed to be is covered with chickenwire, suggesting minimum building maintenance.

Owner's Response: Thanks again for your booking. I'm glad you enjoyed the condo. The pool gate area was under construction at the time of your stay. The complex is going from keyed locked gates to keyless. I understand the crew was waiting on a part and had to use chicken wire to keep people out of that construction area. They probably should have put up "pardon our dust" signs to show visitors that they are in construction mode. Sorry about that inconvenience. Aloha

Can we move in?

We enjoyed our stay at Pacific Shores! The grounds, pool, palm trees and plumerias, etc are very well groomed and beautiful. The unit was clean and we felt right at home. There is an elevator if you prefer that to walking 4 flights of stairs and it was always fast. The owners had boogie boards and the most awesome Tommy Bahama beach chairs, noodles and even a cooler should you wish to pack a lunch and head off for the day to explore the island. They provide a sufficient number of plastic glasses to bring down to the pool (no glass for safety reasons). I enjoyed the fact that the parking spot allocated to the unit is close to the entrance of the building where the unit is located. No wild goose chase upon arrival.

We preferred to do our few dishes by hand but only found dishwasher soap packs. Saves water too. We think dish soap and pool towels and scissors was all we missed.

The people at Pacific Shores were so nice. Aloha lives here.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your stay. I'm glad you enjoyed. Not sure what happened with the dish soap as we always have a small bottle available for guest. There should have been at least two (usually four) beach towels in the unit but sounds like they went missing and we missed it before your arrival. So sorry abou that! The price is right for this quiet location

Overall things went well, the place was very quiet. The furniture could use updating, and a pillowtop for the sofa bed would really be a hit for anyone sleeping on it, otherwise we enjoyed cooking, had good warm showers, and were grateful for the overhead fans, and the AC which we used two of the nights. Really liked having such a convenient reserved parking spot, too. Brandon was close at hand and very accommodating.

Kihei is situated in South Maui and has an amazing climate, pristine beaches and island views. It is loaded with fantastic restaurants, cafes, shops and bars- all within walking distance. The beautiful sandy beaches are the largest attraction and you will enjoy seeing the sun rise over Haleakala and set in the gorgeous, blue Pacific Ocean. South Maui is truly a paradise not to be missed! With that said, there are many places you may want to visit while on the island and all are an easy drive. I have lived on Maui for a long time and would be more than happy to share my local knowledge. Aloha.
