Lovely cabin and property, warm and friendly hosts, beautiful scenery!
My husband Brian, our son, and I stayed at this wonderful cozy cabin the weekend of the Mt. Airy Half Marathon. It is set on a beautiful, rural, wooded property with a pond for fishing, woods for hiking, and sweet farm animals for petting. We made so many happy memories here! The cabin is very comfortable, decorated very nicely, and stocked with everything you would need for a great stay. The fresh farm eggs, oatmeal, coffee/tea, biscuits, and condiments were so welcoming. Barbara and her husband are so kind and friendly. I can't think of a better place to relax and unwind from the stress of life. Elkin is minutes away, Mt. Airy just 40 minutes, and Winston Salem just 45 minutes away if you need a touch of a town. We will definitely return if we are ever needing a home away from home near Elkin! Thank you for your kindness, Barbara!
Quiet and peaceful place, would recommend to anyone and will probably stay again!
We had a great weekend! Barbara is an awesome host! The place is very clean and well kept. I hope to stay here again very soon.
Will come stay again sooon!
Before I even get to the cabin rental let me say Barbara is awesome. What a terrific host! Now for the cabin - we all loved it and kids are ready to return and want to bring their friends. We did not bring swim suits so we missed the opportunity to do the zip line, but we did get to fish. Caught bass and crappie. The cabin was simply awesome- no WiFi but as my 6 yr old said - this place is fun even without YouTube. What a great weekend. We will be back if Barbara will have us, this time for a tour of the wineries.
Thank you Chris. I feel I have accomplished my mission when children are happy! I look forward to your return.
Great, Unique Stay in Authentic Cabin
My family and I had a great time staying in this unique, authentic cabin with modern/comfortable updates. Along with the ability to fish first thing in the morning from the front yard and visits with/from various farm animals, fresh eggs and homemade jam upon our arrival were a great touch. Barbara went out of her way to make us feel welcome, which was greatly appreciated!
We took two of our grand kids (ages 9 and 12) to this wonderful log cabin. It was back off the road --- quiet, peaceful, relaxing, comfortable, and a perfect place for kids who enjoy nature and a farm. They both said many times, "We want to come back here again!" And, we will be going back, hopefully many times.
