Beautiful location, very peaceful and relaxing.
We were looking for a relaxing family getaway and Barbara’s cabin did not disappoint! We had everything we needed including fresh eggs (which were delicious) and board games for lots of laughs. The ducks were the stars of the show, quacking and running up for something to eat whenever we came outside. We enjoyed fishing and relaxing by the pond, listening to the sounds of nature (broken up only by squeals from the kids as they rode the zip line...sorry Barbara for all our noise). Would definitely recommend and hope to be able to stay again ourselves!
Our dream was for families to enjoy this place as much ours has over the years. No apologies accepted. Having fun is a complement to us.
Thank you and I hope to see you again!
Peaceful and Relaxing
This was our third visit, and it was wonderful again. The owners are very hospitable. Felt right at home on this farm. Close enough to town for groceries, restaurants, shopping and outdoor activities but far out enough for the quietness of country living and nice, peaceful dark nights. Bed was very comfortable. Will return again and again!
N C perfect as usual
Just a great cabin, with a great view, in a great part of NC. Hospitable hostess, with the mostess :) looking forward to going back when its colder :)
Fun for families, near wineries, great alternative to a hotel
We stayed at the cabin in early July with our two young daughters. The cabin was rustic but still comfortable with AC, and a modern kitchen and bathroom. Our oldest daughter loved all the animals (ducks, chickens, and horses) and the swings. Barbara and her family were very welcoming and made us feel at home. We enjoyed nearby Elkin for dinners. The cabin is also very close to many of the nearby wineries. I've already recommended this property and friends and family. We had a great time.
Early American Cabin
Peaceful and true to description provided before booking. Barbara is a great host. Inside cabin beautifully decorated.
Really Nice Cabin
We rented the cabin to stay at during Merlefest. My only regret is we didn't have more time at cabin. Cabin was bigger and nicer than expected with beautiful grounds, and Barbara was a great host. My three kids loved fishing and feeding the chickens. Thank you for the stay. Scott, Marsha, Dylan, Aspen and Daniel.
