About this property

Gracious home 200 yards to private beach

This beautiful Cape Cod "gem" was built as a barn in the 1800s and converted to a home by our grandparent's in the 1950s. It has newly updated kitchen, bathrooms and central air conditioning.

The first floor includes one bedroom with a double bed, one bedroom with a king bed, two full baths, a living room area with a fireplace and flatscreen TV, a large kitchen with a dining area, and access to an outdoor deck.

On the second floor, you'll find one bedroom with a twin bed; one bedroom with a queen bed; and a “great” room with four twin beds, a TV, and a separate laundry area.
Outside, there’s a large mahogany deck with many chairs, lounges, and tables—perfect for enjoying views of the expansive front yard and backyard.

Access to a private beach is just 200 yards away and includes a boathouse and beach equipment. This beach is located 1.5 miles from the saltwater Oyster Pond and Lighthouse Beach and 2 miles from downtown Chatham. No commercial activities can be found within 1.5 miles of this property, so our home has been enjoyed by those seeking a peaceful, serene, and relaxing atmosphere.

We ask all visitors to our property to be respectful of the home and its furnishings and to take care of it during their visit! If you feel your group may be hard on the home, this home will not be a good fit. This is a Saturday-Saturday rental only.

Great venue for a family event

The accommodation in the barn for our family worked very well. Very well appointed - any rental that has sharp knives in the kitchen deserves kudos ! The great room was good for the kids. Having the boathouse for our kayaks close to the private beach was a plus. Given the humidity when we were there, the A/C was good to have. It's a longish walk to town and light house beach, but very doable - and we all got our steps in. All in all a very pleasant stay. Chatham itself is a wonderful town.

Perfect Vacation Place for Family

The home is a vintage Cape Cod gem., with a perfect combination of charm and efficiency. Our family of 10 (age 10 months to 79 years) found plenty to do on location (beach, hammock, swings, basketball) and close by in Chatham (restaurants, farmers market, train museum, parks, shopping). The host was super helpful and helped make our stay memorable by providing lots of info about the area and responding to our questions.

Chatham escape

My family loved our visit to Chatham and our stay at this property. The home was spacious, well equipped, and comfortable, although we did have a bit of a hot spell during our stay. The beach was perfect! And Brett was an outstanding host. His responses were always immediate, complete, and helpful. He provided solutions every time. Great family vacation

The house is in a beautiful private and quiet setting just a few minutes’ drive from the beaches and from Chatham Main Street. A short walk to sandy shore for play and digging and exploring. The house is well equipped with everything needed in the kitchen. We were so busy outdoors the kids had few requests for screen time!

Idyllic very special vacation spot for family

The house was rustic but perfect. Kitchen was new and well equipped. The location is perfect. Our extended family, with kids of varying ages, 2 dogs, multiple generations enjoyed a relaxing week with beach time, monopoly, yard games, grilling and all our favorite Chatham traditions. This is a really special place and I highly recommend it!
