Three bedroom, 2.5 bath, in a nice neighborhood close to restaurants & shopping
Book now for late spring and summer getaways to beautiful Colorado Springs!
Our home is a 2-story, 3-bedroom, 2.5 bath property with an open floor plan on the first level that includes the living room, dining room and kitchen in one space.
There is a large, 48' flat-screen TV in the living room and the house is supplied with satellite TV and free Wifi. We have central air conditioning, which many Colorado Springs properties do not have because of the temperate weather. But it's nice to have it when you need it. (The house also has central heat.)
The kitchen has every amenity. It has been furnished with three sets of dishes, glasses and goblets, two sets of silverware, coffeemaker, four-slice toaster, blender and much more.
The dining room table seats six, and there are three additional stools at the breakfast bar. Tablecloths are in the front entry closet. A high chair and pack 'n play are available on request.
Also on the first level is a half-bath and laundry room with washer and dryer. The leather hide-a-bed couch in the living room folds out to a double bed.
Attached to the first level is a two-car garage that has been set up as a game room with ping-pong table, 2 foosball tables, card table and chairs. The garage/game room adds additional square footage to the 1350 square foot house.
Upstairs are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom, which has a 32' flat-screen television, has a queen bed and small attached bathroom with a combination shower/tub. A second bathroom with a combination shower/tub is located off the landing. Two additional bedrooms complete the upstairs. One of those bedrooms has a queen bed and the other has two twin beds. Each bedroom has drawer storage and closet space with hangers for your clothes. All three bedrooms have been furnished with high quality mattresses and linens. High quality towels are in the bathrooms and in a closet on the upstairs landing.
Outside on the front porch there is a porch swing. There is a small flagstone patio with an iron table and two chairs near the porch. In the backyard there is a bbq grill, chairs, rustic picnic table and benches.
There is parking for two cars on the driveway and possibly one to two cars on the street in front of the house. Across the street is a small grassy park with a picnic table.
Pikes Peak can be seen from the house (filtered views), especially from the top floor.
We are located on the east side of the Springs, about 3 miles east of Powers Boulevard near the intersection of Highway 24 and Constitution.
We are one mile from a huge new King Soopers grocery and retail store and shopping center, and about three miles from all the other restaurants and shopping you could need. And, according to Mapquest we are the following distances and times from major attractions (times may vary based on traffic): 9 miles/13 mins to the Olympic Training Center; 10 miles/15 mins to downtown; 13 miles/20 mins to Focus on the Family; 16 miles/22 mins to The Broadmoor; 16 miles/22 mins to Old Colorado City; 15 miles/26 mins to Garden of the Gods; 19 miles/26 mins to Manitou Springs; 18 miles/27 mins to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo; 21 miles/29 mins to the Air Force Academy; 23 miles/31 mins to Cascade where the highway to the top of Pikes Peak begins.

About Ron & Bev Bynum
We are a pastor and former journalist (who has more recently been a caregiver to her parents.) Ron grew up in St. Louis and Bev grew up in Southern California. We both lived in the Kansas City area for many years, but knew we had found our longtime home when we moved to beautiful, sunny Colorado Springs. We love to travel and we have rented many homes through vrbo. We know how nice it can be to come back each night to a clean, comfy, nicely-appointed house while on vacation.
Ron & Bev Bynum purchased this House in 2005

Lovely, immaculate home away from home.
From the moment we entered the house, it was evident that the homeowners really care about quality and the comfort of their clients. There was a three ring binder on the counter welcoming us to the house, and providing all sorts of information to make our stay pleasant. The kitchen was well stocked, which was great as we cooked many meals there. The towels and bed linens were very nice quality, so it really did feel like a home. And the ping pong table and foosball tables in the garage provided hours of evening entertainment for our family of four. Add all of this to the phone call we received when we arrived from the homeowners to make sure we had everything we needed and to answer any questions we had, and you have a wonderful experience while staying at a truly immaculate home away from home.
Safe enviroment and great property owners
Our family of 5, (wife, 19 year old daughter, two (2) sons 16 and 12) truly had a great vacation in the Colorado Springs area. Traveling from Michigan to the area for the first time, we were not sure what to expect. The amenities and cleanliness in this home made us feel "right-at-home". We had one little problem getting the dish TV to work in the livingroom, (upstairs master bedroom dish TV worked). I contacted the owners on the 2nd day and they came over in 15 minutes and together we were able to get it to work. After doing everything on-line and not knowing Bev and Ron we were able to meet them face to face. They are a wonderful couple and truly wanted our stay to be "perfect" while visiting the area. We will be back in the CS area soon and you can bet we will contact them again to stay at their home, if it is not already taken. Thank you very much Ron and Bev, the Mochty's from East Tawas, Michigan.
It was a real treat to meet you and your family, Matt, and we’re so glad you enjoyed your stay at our vacation home! We look forward to seeing you all again!
Very clean property and felt very safe! Will absolutely be back!
My family and I had a very enjoyable stay! The property was immaculately clean, and the neighborhood was quiet. Perfect location to just about anything you’d be interested in!
Perfect for our family
This property was in great proximity to our friends and family, and it was quick access to major highways, etc. The place itself was clean and comfortable. We cooked a lot, thanks to the well-appointed kitchen and King Soopers just 1/2 mile away. Beds were comfortable and the space is just what we needed for our family - ages 6 and 2 1/2 for the kids. The owners were responsive to any questions we had - where to take trash, etc. I would definitely stay here again!
Thanks so much for your positive review! We were glad you came, and look forward to having you stay again sometime!
Comfortable well-equipped home
We had a three generation vacation here. The space worked very well for us. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy for us to do meals in including Christmas dinner. We especially appreciated having some basic supplies like spices, flour, and sugar. When we arrived, there were some snacks waiting-very nice after a day of traveling. Everything was clean, fresh and well cared for. It's a great choice for a home away from home.
Our second stay in this cozy house
This house is ideally located for visiting our Colorado Springs family. It is clean, comfortable and nicely decorated and has everything one might need for either a short or longer stay in the area. We hope to return.
The Colorado Springs area includes many visitor attractions such as the Garden of the Gods, a drive or cog railway to the top of Pikes Peak, the world-famous 5-star Broadmoor Hotel, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, historic Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City, scores of mountain hiking and biking trails, the Air Force Academy, Focus on the Family, the U.S. Olympic Training Center and much more. Other activities within an hour or two include rafting, boating, kayaking, hunting, fishing, skiing and snowmobiling.
