About Louise Senneff

Stu and Louise Senneff. Stu grew up in south Florida and Louise in west Texas, but we now live in southwest Florida.

Louise Senneff purchased this house in 1995

Why Louise Senneff chose Lake Chatuge

Stu's parents built this house and we inherited it. Our family has spent many happy times here before and since, and we love the mountains and the lake. We want to keep the house for our family to continue to build more memories and to share this great place with others.

What makes this house unique

Truly, the lake and the mountains, whatever time of year you come, will call you back. Sit out in the screen room, or dangle your legs over the dock, or shuffle your feet through the bright autumn leaves walking in the fog, or snuggle up next to the fire and watch the snow fall...it won't matter, you will be taken by the beauty and the peace and the history of this place, by the fun times you will have while you are here and by the desire to return for more.

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful and clean, the downstairs was amazing, like a separate home. The weather was great, all except one day while we were there, so we were able to enjoyed sitting on the enclosed porch and down by the lake. We loved it so much we wanted to extend our stay, unfortunately it wasn't available.

The only problem was the fish weren't biting in the area (one of the main reasons we chose this area), oh well. Good memories still made.

The owner; Louise was friendly and accommodating. I'm sure we'll book another stay here.

Thanks for everything!

Owner's Response: Thanks, Bernadette, for your review. We wish we could control the fish biting, but are glad everything else Dogwood Hill has to offer made up for it! The good memories are the best part anyway. Please do come again.

Awesome Lake House

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed our trip to Hiawasse and the lake house. The house was well furnished and was very clean, it slept 8 of us very comfortably. Backyard was flat down to the dock and was great for outside activities. I would diffidently recommend this house for a great vacation experience!

We enjoyed our stay, the property was beautiful and peaceful! The home was furnished well and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Most of all the owners were excellent to work with and worked hard to make sure their home was a pleasant place to enjoy! We will stay at this property again!

Nice Lake house with plenty of kid friendly activities.

  • 4 of 5

Myself and another dad took 5 boys on a fishing trip. The weather was not very friendly for the first 2 days but with Ping Pong, Pool table, Horse Shoes, volleyball, camp fire and other various board games we were able to keep the boys entertained. I would recommend a boat for fishing as the lake has many coves not easy to get too via walking. I wish the lake levels would have been higher but since it is damn controlled by the Government there is not much you can do. Overall I would bring my family back.
