About David Hamm

Megan and I were very fortunate to have grown up on the Southern California beaches but with the stress's that came with development we looked and made a move to Kona where the lifestyle was more like the early days of California. We now have a place where we can accommodate others to come and enjoy what we have found to be paradise.

David Hamm purchased this house in 2012

Why David Hamm chose Kona Coast

We are located a short distance from the hustle and bustle of town, close enough to get to it and yet just outside of it to have peace when you have had enough and want to relax.

What makes this house unique

Affordable cozy studio in great location

  • 5 of 5

David's studio was perfect for my wife and me. We stayed for 11 nights and it worked great as our base for water adventures. It was centrally located and had great access heading either north into town or the Kohala beaches and south towards Volcano. The apartment was fully equipped (albeit an induction burner rather than a stove) and quite comfortable for the two of us. David also supplies beach essentials such as towels, chairs, boogie boards, noodles, etc. David is very friendly and helpful host who knows the area quite well. One minor point; David removed the half wall seen in the photos between the couch and the queen bed so the apartment now has a more open floor plan

Very good location!

  • 5 of 5

We just came back form Kona last week and we had a really good stay at David's place. The room was really clean and we had the kitchen equipped with all we needed. He offered us beach towels that were really helpful (we did not bring any with us), snorkel equipment, boogie boards. David is a very friendly host and he is willing to help with information about the area and activities that are of interest. If we will visit Big Island again we will consider staying at his place again. Thank you very much for everything!

Very happy with this rental

  • 5 of 5

Very clean, cozy, equipt with basic essentials (beach towels, snorkel gear, kitchen items, parking spot, coin-op washing machine/dryer). The bed was VERY comfortable and ceiling fan kept room at a cool temp. Close to Kona nightlife and two beaches w/in walking distance. Owner was friendly and available to answer questions as he lives nearby. I will definitely stay here again. Mahalo nui loa.

GREAT!

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from Kona after an 11 night stay here. This place was great! David was a perfect host. The house is 3 units on the lower floor with his daughter living upstairs. There is no A/C but you don't need it because you just open up the bi-fold doors to the screened in walls and let the nice breeze keep you just right at night. David has beach gear and towels for you to use. The house is just a 2 minute drive to one of the best snorkeling beaches on the island. You can hear the waves crash on the shore at night. There is one house between you and Alii Drive, one house on the other side of Alii Drive and then the ocean. We will be back!
