Kailua-Kona House Rental Photos and Description

Royal Palm Suite is on the bottom floor of the home. It has it's own private entry with a Twin bed, Sleeper couch that makes into a queen bed, Cable tv, wifi, full bathroom, closet, kitchenette area. Full size refrig.,microwave, toaster oven, induction cook top and coffee maker and grinder to brew the famous Kona coffee. There is coin operated washer & dryer in a common room. Outside has a gazebo, table, chairs and a bbq for those who like to grill. There is plenty of off street parking behind the home. The home is situated so that you get the ocean breezes and can hear the waves crashing on the shoreline when the surf is up. We are between Magic Sands Beach and Snorkel Beach (Kahalu'u beach) and both are within walking distance if you just want to hang out at local Beaches. We are also only one mile from Keauhou Center which has a Grocery store, Restaurants, Post office, Theater, Medical facility's, and a farmers market on Saturday mornings, even has music and dance performances on some weekends. You have the beach front town of Kona 5 minutes down Alii Dr. in the other direction which has lots of shops to browse through, restaurants and locations to sign up for activities such as a luau, tours, snorkeling trips, surf lessons, submarine rides, Charters for Big Game fishing and much more, all of this is along the ocean front.

There is two transit systems that run by on Alii dr. making them very accessible. Kona has the most beautiful sunsets, you will see the locals and tourists parked along side of the roads to watch for the green flash as the sun goes over the horizon.

Perfect for me. Had everything I needed.

I chose this place for proximity to my friend who I was visiting, and was very pleased. Space was perfect. I had everything I needed and felt safe and comfortable. The units and grounds were very well maintained, and David was available for any and all questions. Would stay here again.

Great location and value! Highly recommend!

Of all the affordable vacation rentals in which we've stayed in Kona, David's place is by far the best value! Excellent location, very close to snorkel beach Kahalu'u, wave beach Magic Sands, and the well appointed Keauhou Shopping Center - just above which lies the highway from which this amazing island can be explored.

Our suite was clean, bug-free (didn't even get the tiny ants you see in most places!), stocked with all the basic essentials. The Wifi worked perfectly, the TV had lots of channels and the shower was great. The full size fridge, kitchen sink & drying rack, electric coffee maker & grinder, microwave and modern electric hotplate made it easy to prepare meals at home (remember to pick up some coffee beans and other essentials on your way in!). Didn't really miss not having a conventional oven. Very affordable coin-operated washer & dryer in the common area were large and worked well. As mentioned in other reviews, noise from the other suites does travel, but it didn't bother us. Nice private parking off the street, just for guests.

Living close-by, David is a great host - very responsive, helpful, considerate and always pleasant to chat with. He works hard to ensure that his property is kept up and that his guests are happy. Look forward to seeing you again, David!

Wonderful stay in Kona

David was a great host and he made me feel comfortable staying in his place. Driving directions were accurate and he met me there as I pulled in to park my car. After a brief tour I settled in and felt right at home. David has a printed out sheet very handy in the unit that gives you what you need to know including wifi instructions. David was also able to provide dining recommendations.

Overall it was a great unit giving me exactly what I needed. Quiet, comfortable, clean, and a great location.

Maybe a 8-9 minute walk to magic sands beach.

Would not hesitate at all to stay there again!

Nice South Kona Beach Location!

Very easy access (simple check-in and check-out). Great proximity to South Kona beaches. Snorkeling right down the road. Unit only accommodates 1 to 2 people, perfect for couple. Has all the appliances you need.

nice locality, very friendly, near ocean access

loved our stay room was very nice, liked bird watching in the morning out the large screen window. comfortable with fans and "trade wind ventilation". There is a background of road noise, but at night it changes to a background of ocean surf....sweet. Easy walking distance to ocean. close to shopping. The owner is incredibly nice and friendly. all and all we had a great time and will certainly look to stay here again if/when we come to the big island.

Great location, easy access

The owner replied to my inquiry almost immediately. He is very friendly and helpful.

The unit was the perfect size for 1 or 2 people. The wi-fi was a little spotty but that was fixed during my stay. It was also a little warm but with the ceiling fan and the 'wall of louvred doors' opened, you can get a nice breeze.

If you are sensitive to sounds and light bring ear plugs and a mask. Personally, I love the call of the Zebra Doves first thing in the morning! There are plenty of windows in the unit to let in the air.

Easy access. Private parking for your rental car. Small cooking area with full size fridge for the leftovers from all the nearby restaurants. Close enough to the 'downtown' tourist areas but far enough away to avoid the traffic noise. Easy access to Belt Road for touring around the Island. Perfect location in my book!

I am considering renting another suite in the same building for our next visit. Mahalo plenty!
