We Loved This Cabin

  • 5 of 5

From the floor plan to the quality touches makes this cabin perfect for us. The kitchen is outfitted with anything you would possibly need. Set back from a dead end road makes for quiet nights. We stayed four nights but hope to stay alittle longer the next time. Thank you Mitch , I can see that you took a lot of care to make your cabin special.

Serene hideaway

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was a perfect fit for our stay--comfortable, with lovely amenities, within walking distance of Downtown Truckee. We enjoyed the well appointed kitchen and bath, and loved the classic freestanding stove with warmth at the push of a button. Simple, serene, and just what we were looking for!

Perfect little cabin for a couple's ski weekend!

  • 5 of 5

Mitch's cabin is a lovely space, conveniently located near downtown Truckee! My husband and I came up for the weekend with our dog, and the cabin was ideal for the three of us. It had everything we needed for our stay, and we loved being able to walk to dinner in Truckee, or hop in the car for a short drive to the ski resorts.

The cabin is really quiet, and despite being somewhat close to neighbors, we didn't hear anyone else during our stay. The back patio is completely enclosed and has a fire pit and a barbecue, and it's near the end of a cul-de-sac, so there is very little car traffic on the road (I think we saw only one other car driving on the road during our three days at the cabin). It's super close to the Truckee river and downtown Truckee, so it manages to balance convenience and serenity. (The trains in the distance provided a lovely ambiance, but were by no means disruptive at all.)

I would highly recommend this rental for a couple!

Cute Cabin in Truckee

  • 4 of 5

We had a good time and liked the walking distance to town. We didn't have a car so it was helpful to be so close to old town Truckee. The cabin is very quaint and clean and a comfortable bed as well. We cooked at home each night so it was nice to have upgraded features.

Great cabin right near town!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the Mitch's cabin. It was cozy and comfortable with everything we needed. He was great about clearing the snow every day and thanks to gas for heat and stove we were comfortable when the region lost power during the blizzard. Wish we could have skied, but thanks to Mitch we had everything we needed to be safe and warm. Mitch was great about getting back to us when we texted with questions/concerns. Much appreciated. The cabin is a short walk to town and not far from highway 80. We will definitely stay here again!
