Lighthouse Hill Ranch is situated in the beautiful Texas Hill Country on 2,001 acres. With this much land it is your own private park to enjoy. The ranch consists of rolling hills, incredible 50 mile views, and has one of the highest point in Blanco County. Enjoy the abundance of wildlife on the ranch from cattle, bird watching, deer, turkey, coyotes, armadillos, jackrabbits, doves and variety of other animals.
Rental of any of our houses or suites provides you access to the entire ranch (both tracts), which has numerous springs, over 4,000 feet of clear rock-bottom creek to swim and tube in (and including a unique creekside hot tub and waterfall grotto), 8 ponds to fish, a seasonal waterfall and miles of trails for riding ATVs, bike riding, hiking or riding your own horse.
Although somewhat height challenged, Napoleon was a brilliant leader and also the center of all attention (he preferred it that way). Therefore, like Napoleon himself, the 'The Napoleon Suite' is in the center and is somewhat shorter than its counterparts. But this suite comes with an abundance of charm, with a large “king” room, a floor to ceiling tiled water “loo,” ornate furnishings, and a triple array of large windows that provide the best view of the Arc de Texas entrance/landscape. The suite is at the center of the second floor of the Arc de Texas and has a king bed, 1 bath with a kitchenette, central air/heat and great fire pit to sit and enjoy the nighttime sky in the Hill Country. You can also use the elevator to go to the rooftop terrace to enjoy your cocktail while taking in the arresting 360 degree views. You only need to pack your overnight bag, we have thought of everything you will need to make your stay comfortable. The suite sleeps 2 people and all linens are provided.
The kitchen is furnished with coffeemaker, pots, pans, 2 burner glass cook top, under counter refrigerator, microwave, glassware, dishes, silverware, linens, serving bowls, cooking utensils, misc. spices, knife block, toaster, etc.
The sitting area has two oversized leather chairs. You can put your feet up and read a good book, watch DirectTV with movie channels, or head into town and rent a DVD to watch on the television. There is no telephone but there is an internet connection in the house if you really must stay in touch with those everyday hassles!
There is a large fire pit with 'rocking' chairs that you can sit in and enjoy a great fire. There's plenty of wood on the ranch - burn all you want! There is six tables with chairs up on the rooftop terrace that you can use to have a meal outside. In addition, we also have a propane grill for outdoor cooking.
If you wish to bring your dog or your horse we have accommodations for them as well. There is a fenced area near the building for your dog and they are welcome in the suite. We ask that you keep them off the furniture and beds and you are required to bring a crate to house them in when you are away from the suite. For horses, we have pipe fenced pastures with a water trough & feed trough (these pastures are located near the Red House). There is also a run-in and a tack area to keep your tack and feed dry.
In addition, we have 3 other suites in the Arc as well as 6 other homes on the ranch available for rental. In the Arc de Texas we have a 4 bedroom/2 ½ bath suite that sleeps 12-14 (“The Louis XIV Suite”), a 2 bedroom/1 bath suite that sleeps 4-5 (“The Marquis de Lafayette Suite”) and a 1 bedroom/1bath suite that sleeps 4-5 (“The Joan of Arc Suite”). The 6 homes that we have are a 3 bedroom/2 bath home that sleeps 8-10 ('The Grey House'), a 3 bedroom/2 bath home that sleeps 10-11 (‘The Brown House’), a 3 bedroom/loft with 2 baths that sleeps 10-12 ('The Green House'), our signature home a 4 bedroom/4 bath four story tower that sleeps 9-15 ('The Lighthouse'), a 3 bedroom with a loft and 2 ½ bath that sleeps 6-10 (‘The Log Home’), and a 3 bedroom/1bath home that sleeps 6-7 (“The Red House”).
We look forward to having you at Lighthouse Hill Ranch!

About Kathy Meyertons
My wife and I purchased the ranch in 2004 for our enjoyment and for our 4 kids. It is absolutely the best purchase we've ever made. We love going to the ranch and swimming/tubing in the creek, fishing in the ponds, riding mountain bikes and ATVs on the trails, hiking the woods, and just generally enjoying a campfire with lots of stars on a clear night. Because the ranch has one of the highest point in the county, we can see for 50 miles on clear days - and there's lots of clear days in this part of the country. There are 6 horses and 3 longhorns (along with a herd of 'regular' cattle) - it's fun to feed these animals, and our dog loves to chase the big animals (that is, until they get irritated and turn and chase him).

Adventure, relaxation and a lot of fun!
We are both outdoor enthusiasts and love the Hill Country area- so this was the choice for a weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary, and it was perfect!
Lighthouse Hill Ranch has a little of everything for everyone- expansive land for exploring, pools, hot tubs, ponds, and trails! We loved being able to walk the roads winding through their land to get our daily “steps” in, and had fun discovering the Spa Creek, bluebonnets, and beautiful landscapes. When we weren’t exploring, we enjoyed a wine tasting at the Arc de Texas wine bar, which had a great selection of wines to try and buy for the perfect prelude to a relaxing evening in the suite upstairs.
We stayed in the Napoleon suite, which was in the center of the Arc and offered spectacular views across the hills. The suite has a sunset view, and just outside of the suite the windows offer a great view of the sunrise. The roof top deck has ample seating for relaxing and 360 degree views. We enjoyed it all!
We also ventured to Johnson City for a few supplies, and dining. It was a friendly small town with everything we needed.
Overall it was a great time, and we will definitely return- the next time we plan on staying in one of the rental houses, which are spread throughout the ranch for an elevated degree of seclusion. We both highly recommend the ranch to anyone looking to unwind in the Hill Country!
We are so glad you had a great time at our place and we look forward to you visiting us again soon!
