The first thing you'll fall in love with at Pelican Inlet C216 is the balcony. Just off the living room, it overlooks the condo complex, and reminds you that you are only a short walk away from the Atlantic on one side and the Intracoastal on the other! Invigorating sea breezes and balmy air make the balcony an alluring place to sit in the early morning with a book and a cup of coffee. It's also the ideal venue for stargazing!
When you step inside from the balcony, you find yourself in an open, airy living and dining area, with a soft rug on the tile floor and plenty of ultra-comfy seating. One of these couches converts into a bed for 2, and all are luxuriously relaxing after a day outdoors. Gather the group around our entertainment center and pop in an old VHS tape or DVD to watch together -- or let part of the group catch the big game on TV (you have cable here) while others break out the cards at the dining room table and play a little 500 Rummy! Please note that Pelican Inlet C216 does not have WiFi.
Our dining room table seats 4 comfortably and 6 at close quarters. It doesn't see many meals -- usually being snubbed in favor of the balcony! -- but it's a great place to spread out all your maps and sightseeing brochures to plan your next adventure. Right in the heart of the action, it's convenient and always busy!
And while we're on the subject of convenient, you will appreciate our newly remodeled, absolutely sparkling kitchen. It's fully equipped with gourmet cookware, dishes, and utensils, and it's got all the time-savers that mean so much when you've got a busy schedule. From the microwave to the dishwasher to all the countertop appliances you could wish for, our kitchen makes your cooking time easier and more enjoyable.
The convenience doesn't stop there, though. We have a washer and dryer for you to use while you're here, and we'll make sure all the linens, towels, pillows, and blankets you need for every bed and bath at Pelican Inlet C216 are fresh and waiting for you! We've tried to think of everything to make your stay a success.
One of the most important parts of any vacation is being able to sleep well away from home, and you'll find the mattresses at Pelican Inlet C216 perfectly tempered and the bedrooms quiet and relaxing! Our master bedroom offers a king-sized bed, his-and-her bedside lamps, and a big window. The en suite bathroom is a luxury that keeps the entire area private. Sleep as late as you like in this peaceful suite!
The second bedroom contains 2 twin-sized beds and plenty of storage space and is convenient to the second full bathroom at Pelican Inlet C216.
But the best feature of our condo is its location. Pelican Inlet is just steps from both the beach and the Intracoastal and has some nice amenities. A swimming pool, tennis court, and private beach access via a dune walkover are available, as well as free boat parking and a boat ramp to the Intracoastal. This makes it the perfect venue for a fishing vacation.
Pelican Inlet is just minutes by car from St. Augustine, and very close to world-class golf. Great shopping and sightseeing are all around you here, and there's plenty to do for all ages. Our little piece of the coastline is beautiful, unspoiled, and packed with scenery and recreation. Come stay here soon!

It was a place to sleep
When we arrived at 4:30 pm and entered the premises, we took a look around and said this isn't as bad as the reviews. There is no Wi-Fi and our cell phones only got 1 bar. The pool was closed except for the last day we were there due to repairs and it was too cold to get into at that point, but I tried. The TVs (2) are very old. the living room which we wanted to watch a movie on the vcr wouldn't work and the tv part there was no sound on CBS, ABC and NBC all other stations had sound. Go figure. In master bath cold water handle just kept turning around, you had reach a certain spot and stop in order for the water to shut off. Lights in laundry room didn't work had to use a flashlight to located the broom to sweep. Floors needed to be mopped. Overall the furniture was polished and clean, the sheets were clean and the furniture served the purpose it was designed for. We didn't eat there we only showered in the hall bathroom and slept. It had a slight musty smell but we slept with the windows open. We swept the floors every day and wiped down the furniture and wiped down the bathrooms (2). When we left it was cleaner than when we arrived but it was a place to sleep for us. The groundskeeper, "Tennessee" was very helpful and always on hand to answer our questions and get us parking passes, which was not his job since we didn't rent from them. We live in New York, winter in Myrtle Beach SC and it was a place to meet our daughter for a brief visit since she lives in the Tampa area. I called the rental office with all of these faults and never heard back from them until our last day there. To get to the beach is a hike lots of stairs and across the highway.

Since your departure, the issue involving the shower valve has been addressed and we appreciate you bringing the rest of the issues to our attention so that we are able to correct them for future guest stays. We are happy to see that you received compensation for your troubles and we hope that this rare instance does not hinder you from trying us once more.
St Augustine is an amazing place. Crescent beach is beautiful. We really enjoyed Pelican Inlet!
It was nice but a little disapointing
We had a good time and likes the cando but it was not very clean. Sheets and blankets smelt musty and there was no extra paper towels or tolit paper just left rolls from time before.
Poorly Handled and Unresponsive
Well, we reserved this unit because of the need to travel to the area for a funeral. All goes well until I finally arrive after a 14+ hour drive and a short visit to the rest of the family at 10:30 pm to hear that they cancelled our reservation. I tried to find other accommodations but it was too late. I called the next day, interrupting participation in the family gathering after the funeral to try to straighten it out. Apparently it did not meet the inspection (and we found the unit is up for sale) so it had no towels, in sufficient bedding, almost no toilet paper, etc. It was not ready but there were no other units in the area near where the funeral was being held and family were and hotels were full. I called, got a manager who told me they would get back to me. We were glad to stay but thought that an adjustment would be nice to the total price given what was lacking. No response. Call again (more than once), could not even get to the manager. Email to customer service, no response. This has drug on. While cancelling, they still took the money, odd way to cancel. They have been avoidant and unresponsive. The initial problems were with the owner, the rest with VRBO. They are okay if all goes according to plan but are willing to take what they can get and ignore you if there are problems.
For your consideration
Here are my comments and feedback:
· WiFi should be made available.
· living room couches need to be replaced / freshened up!
· some towels and bed linens need replacing and they should be put into one central place.
· the kitchen was well-stocked and the equipment was all relatively new though there were relatively few teaspoons in the utensil drawer.
· the owners of the condo took time to decorate it in a beach theme; they didn't just fill it with old second-hand furniture.
· though the flood waters did not directly affect the condo, residual moisture most certainly caused mold within the walls. This caused an unpleasant odour and most certainly affects the air quality and could possible come from drainage pipes.
· Cleaning equipment and supplies should be made more accessible.
· the floors could have used a very good scrub. There was no way that our feet could have gotten that dirty so quickly if the floor had been properly cleaned prior to my stay.
· Though I did not show signs of being bitten, the condo should be checked for either bedbugs or sand fleas. (A couple of tiny bugs were seen on a pillow in the master bedroom.)
· TV should be upgraded.
· Better follow-up on the cleaning personnel in between renters.
There is so much I could say about our stay at Pelican Inlet.One word really decribes it=WOW!So blessed to experience such a relaxing stay. Our hats are off on a rental completly stocked and ready to use. Towels, soap, dishwasher, washer dryer, cable, wi-fi, just so many things to ease your stay we did not want to leave! Thank you for all you did for our family and we hope we can come back sometime soon! You will always a priority in our future rentals! Very Grateful!
