BUDAPEST DOWNTOWN HOME RESTAURANT and GUIDED PRIVATE BUDAPEST and VILLAGE TOURS

We like you to invitate in our home restaurant in heart of Budapest , a step from National Opera House . We , Jozsef and I , Janos the owners are running a restaurant in our home , till 2024 we only offered this only for our guests who stayed in our vacation apartments as a guest but from 2025 we have decided to welcome anybody who likes to enjoy our home made dinner , service and care who interested to be part of an intim , friendly evening with conversation , exchanging viewpoints with us and other guests who may spend the evening with us ..

What to expect ...

There are 2 option generally , first when I take guests around the city to share the hidden beauty of my hometown , not only see monuments but more to show day to day life , discuss economy , freedom , life in Hungary , life in communism , visit Great Market ,a drink in a famous ruin bar
and arriving together around 6.30 - 7 pm when Jozsef will prepared our home restaurant experince .

Other option when guests do not take tours with me but arrives 6.30 pm - 7 pm for dinner .

The experience start with welcome drink , a local spirit , palinka when we get to know each other a little .
The dinner start 7 pm . It is a 4 course dinner and usually we like to decide a day before or the morning of the dinner what we cook depend on what vegetables , fruits , meets get our attention at the farmers market .

We can say many times we cook child sour cherry , berries , redwine plum soup , beef gulyas soup with handmade csipetke .
Cryspy duck legs with steam redcabbage , hungarian potatoes , redwine berries , chicken paprikas with hamdmade nudles , garlic cucumber salad ,
pasta with spicy cabbage stew comes with rose duck brest and rosemarry honey apple rings later sour cherry or plum pie , cottagecheese lemon balls coverd fried cineman breadcrumbs with redforrest fruits or sesonal ...

Each meal comes with our wine selecion , local wines which not only the vynards located in Hungary but some of the wine made by grapes only grows in Hungary .

During the dinner which we serve Jozsef and I we like to talk about the meals and wines , share the local gastronomy stories .
When we stoped to serve dinner we open to sit with our guests in the living room where we have comfy sofas , armchairs and with a glass of wine open conversation about life , history , economy , life in Hungary .

Jozsef and I are open minded and experienced to welcome different people in our home . I worked 4 years for Royal Caribbiean Cruises as a waiter , later in Budapest in the Mariott Hotel as a waiter .
I speak good english and not too bad spanish beside hungarian .

Jozsef artist and an amazing cook , all his knowledge comes from east hungarian countryside where he grew up and his mother is a great teacher ..

The start and say goodbye hour is not written in stone , normally we start 6.30 - 7 pm and let our guests to walk home 9.30 - 10 pm , often depends on us , you and us .

If someone has alergy or sensitive or vegetarian we may not able to serve the right meals and we ask you kindly to discuss us before booking .

We can welcome min 2 guests maximum 8 guests , the lenguage of the conversation is english expect if everyone speaks hungarian or spanish .

This side system is based on booking an apartment so we ask you to send an request with a short introduce what you think is a help for us to understand what is your expectation , even we open to talk on other channels before we meet so we can answer your questions ..
Please write if english is the lenguage which you comfortable , age and who comes with you if there is anyone who joy your company ..

After we confirmed back to you which day our door open and you will able to book online .
The price will little higher as the site has some fees .

As we need to be organized at least for few eeks ahead we have 45 days free cancelation policy , cancelation less than 45 days no refund .
