Overview

About the property

Light-filled, recently constructed 485 sq ft studio w/full kitchen.

Our compact studio is recently constructed! Quiet and peaceful yet only a 12 minute walk to downtown, even less to UNC Asheville, the Botanical Gardens, the North Asheville Tailgate Market, and Whole Foods. There is a very comfortable queen memory foam bed with a privacy curtain to cordon off the bedroom from the kitchen and living area. There is a fully equipped kitchen with new stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, etc. There is a good-sized bathroom with a walk-in shower. It is furnished with a mix of antiques and mid century furniture that have been lovingly collected over the years. Comfort and serenity were our goals in creating this studio. Like Asheville itself, the studio is tucked away, eclectic, efficient, and comfortable. What more could you need?

Would Love to Return

  • 5 of 5

The eclectic studio in the historic Montford neighborhood of Asheville met and exceeded our expectations. It is as exactly as described in the VRBO listing, but more. The tasteful décor of mid-century modern, contemporary and vintage pieces, with its restful color scheme and interesting art, made me so happy. Being on an upper level, above a garage, gave us a great, green view. The bed was very comfortable with its firm mattress and so soft bed linens. It was very quiet, a big plus for us (including the air conditioning unit, which was perfectly silent)! It was so nice to have coffee provided, a first I think. Also, the property was very clean and well-maintained.

One of the owners, Robert, was there to meet us, introduce us to the space and neighborhood, and let us know about happenings around town (like the “Shindig on the Green” the night we arrived). The owners lived in the house in front of the garage but we never saw them, though Robert readily responded to a texted question about sightseeing. We walked to downtown Asheville (because of the heat, a couple of days we drove part way and parked in the neighborhood), walked the urban path to University of NC and their botanical garden, and walked around the historic Riverview Cemetery, also in Montford. An excellent restaurant, Nine Mile, is two blocks away and 12 Bones Smokehouse, in the River Arts district, is a must—the line moves fast. This was our third trip to Asheville; we were there for five days to celebrate a birthday and see the eclipse.

Great Little Studio Apartment

  • 5 of 5

The studio apartment was perfect for my husband and I. Unfortunately, the weather was such that it rained a lot, so we really couldn't walk to town. But it was very close to everything. We also really liked how quiet it was at night. We were quite comfortable and felt so at home there. Check in was a breeze too! We had everything we needed. We will be back and thank you Robert and Trudy!

Comfort, Convince & Tranquility

  • 5 of 5

Robert & Trudi are exceptional hosts. We were impressed by the large size & creative use of the space. The furnishings & bed were all comfortable & the place was immaculate. The kitchen had everything we needed. Close to DT & still quiet. And everything in the apt. is quiet (refrigerator, d/w, a/c). Perfect for 1-2 ppl & if you are going to be on the go. We look forward to our return!

Adorable Studio Apartment in Historic Neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

This studio is located in the historic Montford Historic District. Very quiet and serene location about 15 minutes walking distance from downtown Asheville. The studio has lots of natural sunlight, a beautiful bathroom and small living room and kitchenette. Whole Foods and Harris Teeters about 5 minute drive from the studio. If you want a peaceful and relaxed place to spend the night while still within easy access to all restaurants and entertainment of Downtown Asheville, this is the place for you!
