We are accepting guests following hurricane Maria. We have electric power from our local utility, internet service, cellphone signal and Dish TV! Our calendar is up to date so feel free to book with us, we are happy to have you. Come on down and enjoy our island.

Our quiet haven is located in a residential neighborhood on a 1 acre parcel with a sea view. It is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath private space on it's own level with lots of windows creating a light and airy atmosphere and a spacious covered front porch with outdoor furniture for your relaxing and al fresco dining pleasure. It provides privacy and serenity with beautiful sea views, views of the rolling green hills and sea breezes in America's tropical paradise and overlooks the St. Croix Yacht Club. It is St. Croix's east end living at its finest. No shared Condominium walls!! There is a view of the castle and we are very close to many beaches, (5 minutes from 2 wonderful beaches) 2 minutes from the closest golf course, The Divi Casino and Point Udall. You will find we have provided many amenities, including wifi, a writing table, satellite TV, microwave, coffee maker, new stainless steel refrigerator with ice maker, and even a blender. The haven is a part of our home on it's own separate level with its own private entrance, offering complete privacy. Your initial access is extremely easy, you will be provided with the combination to the easy to locate and well lit lock box to retrieve your keys. And we now, as of March 2016, have a newly paved road for smooth access.

There are so many interesting and fun things to do here on St. Croix. That makes it incredibly hard to pick. I am happy to help you decide how you would like to spend your time here.

About Sarah Bucknell

We bought the lot where our home and apartment sit in 2006. We were sailing the world on our 44' sailboat and in Thailand. In 2011 we sailed into Christiansted Harbor and put the boat on the market, it sold and we built the house! It took 10 months, we have lived here since August of 2012, when the house was brand new. We love the view from our home and it's proximity to beaches, the yacht club and nice restaurants. We had been coming to St. Croix since 1997 on our sailboat and knew we would live here one day after our boating life adventure.

What makes this apartment unique

Fun for birdwatchers, our property is located on a skinny part of the island, it is a great joy to watch the many Pelicans and Frigate Birds flying over head to get to the other side. We see many hawks hunting in the valley just below us. We can hear the ocean and feel the sea breeze in our beautiful spot.

Air Conditioning is not needed in this breezy location, windows face north and east, therefore there is no hot afternoon sun beating in. And we are high up the hill away from pesky insects. Iron and board available upon request

Warm and cozy

Spending 11 days in February away from home 🏡 was possible because of Sarrah and GB.warm and welcoming place. February was still windy, St.Croix is still recovering from the hurricanes, but The North Slob is all fine and helped us to manage the situation where some places are still recovering. Allways ready to help, allways providing sound advice, allways discrete and joyful around.

Thank you again Sarrah an GB. Looking forward for new experiences in St. Croix in the years to come!

We had a fantastic visit to the Island and staying in this apartment was fantastic. The apartment was very well maintained and has beautiful views. It is a little further east than most places we looked at but the views were well worth the extra time to drive into Christiansted. The owners, Sarah and GB, were very helpful and friendly with anything we needed. I highly recommend staying at this property.

If you are looking for a clean affordable place to stay. This is it! It has everything you need plus more. A beautiful view of the ocean right outside your door and a constant cool breeze. The owners Sarah and GB are very sweet and willing to help with anything you need. From the best beaches to the best places to eat. It was nice to know after a fun day in the sun, we had such a GREAT place to go back to relax.

Idyllic Getaway

My husband and I stayed at Sarah and GB's place for a week over the winter holiday. The house space is exactly as pictured. The location was perfect for us - we enjoy the East End of the Island and it was close to a few local places to eat - Ziggy's, Castaways, and Duggins (closed for the time being due to the hurricane, but usually a great spot too). It is about a 15 minute drive to Christianstead and only 5 minutes to Point Udall which has hiking trails. There are beaches nearby also. However, once you are at the house it is like a private, calm, quiet retreat - gorgeous views and lovely breezes.

Sarah and GB are gracious, kind hosts who are around if you need them but do not bother you at all. My husband got quite sick and I had to knock on their door at night in case I need helped with the hospital - they were gracious, concerned, and helpful. They are fun and interesting to talk to also - we enjoyed getting to know them.

The apartment had all we needed - fridge, microwave, coolers, stove, beach chairs and noodles, beach towels, and kitchen supplies. We hung our clothes to dry in the breeze and they were dry very quickly - no need for a dryer. We washed anything we needed to use again in the sink - very easy.

Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! When we return to St. Croix we hope to stay with them again. Such a idyllic location and amazing hosts!

Great apartment on east end north shore

Apartment is perfect for two people. Functional modern kitchen with appliances, sitting area and dining table. TV in bedroom. Ceiling fans work well. Private drive to park your car directly in front of apartment.
