About the property

2 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom, 4 Sleeps

Few steps away from one of the most impressive squares in Rome is this specially designed apartment on the top floor of a building with an elevator, Paradiso Penthouse, after one of the three streets leading off from the Piazza del Popolo.

The apartment, managed by FromHometoRome, has a striking view over the roofs and domes of the historic center from a terrace where you may also like to sit around a table. Its interior is as bright as it can be for the large windows letting the sunshine in, but it is fully air conditioned, too. White walls and earthen floors perfectly match.

Paradiso Penthouse is on an upper floor to the top of an elegant building, where you walk up only a dozen steps after getting out of a small, yet convenient, elevator. Inside the apartment there is also a stairway leading to a parquet upper room with a sofa-bed and a cabin bathroom, another staircase leading to the laudry.

The main habitat in Paradiso Penthouse is made of a large and comfortable living room which opens into the dining room, both separate from the small, yet functional, kitchen with an adjacent bathroom. The major bedroom has its own bathroom and wardrobe, with distinguishing floors.

Paradiso Penthouse is located next to a partly pedestrianised area where shopping is at its best in town, but also in the stretch to some of Rome’s top attraction, including several stunning art works from the Italian Renaissance, so that the apartment is a prestigious and desirable retreat from the buzz of sightseeing.

Perfecto!

I looked at many accommodations while planning my holiday in Rome and this location was spot on. Bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces both spacious and comfortable, which isn't always the case while visiting Europe. We saw many beautiful things while in Rome, but sitting comfortably in the apt. sipping wine and looking out over ancient roof tops will be undoubtedly be one of my favorite memories of Italy and Rome.

The business part of things were seem less and Emanuele was both kind and helpful.

Super penthouse in great location.

We had a wonderful stay as a family of 4. Very clean and functional apartment in an easy location - eating, shopping, and taxis were all in the neighborhood and tourist attractions walkable. Family room is large and full of daylight. 2 patios with views of the city are wonderful spots to start or end the day. Communication with the host was excellent, before, during, and after ... they always did their best to meet all of our needs including connecting us with an excellent tour guide and scheduling airport transportation. It was over 90F when we were in Rome and the air-conditioning worked perfectly. One shower was wonderful, the other 2 were very small, however, we would definitely stay here again!

Excellent

Lovely apartment and, most importantly, personal service from Sara and Emanuele. I would like to live here forever. Photographs don't do it justice. And such a lovely neighbourhood - art, food, wine, all on your doorstep.

It was a delight to meet Sara, and to realise that we had indeed chosen well. The apartment 'coheres' far more efficiently than the pictures suggest. The steps up to the laundry room are indeed a bit steep but you get yet one more amazing view of Rome while doing your laundry!

You will love the light and sunshine pouring into the apartment from the many windows. This is a nice place to breathe and to reflect. From Home to Rome are decent and honest. I recommend them without hesitation.

Perfect location with amazing views!!

  • 5 of 5

Sara meet our arrival at the apartment and the check went very smoothly with a full walk through explaining the ins and outs. With the two separate bedrooms, the apartment was perfect for my wife & I and our son and his girlfriend.

The views from both balconies are amazing!! Enjoying a coffee on one of them is the only way to start your day in this amazing city! The location is perfect with all of the main sites within walking distance however we chose to rent scooters which were easily parked on the street right out front. Only way to see Rome in my opinion!

Exactly as Pictured, Fabulous Views!

  • 5 of 5

Four of us stayed in the Paradiso Penthouse in September, and it was incredible. The booking was simple, great follow through, never a doubtful moment. We were met at the airport, and Sara was at the apartment to meet us, no problems. They even had an Italian cell phone to take with us while in Rome, a very nice touch.

We didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment as we were too busy with sightseeing, but when we were there, we were on the terrace, A great place to sit and relax and enjoy the quiet beauty of Rome (and the seagull who was our constant guest!).

The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen adequate for our purposes, the area of town it was in was just right, convenient to everything. Two of us were brave enough to go up the stairs to do their laundry, and the other two were glad they did! The book with restaurants and stores in the neighborhood was great to have. We never took a bus or train, everything was so convenient; we even walked to the Colosseum and back. I took the elevator only once; if you are interested, there are 138 stairs, great exercise! I highly recommend the Paradiso Penthouse, Emanuele, Sara, and a special thanks for their recommendation of Chiara as a guide; we were lucky enough to have her show us both the Vatican Museum and Ancient Rome. She was delightful! Another high recommendation!

Perfect Stay

  • 5 of 5

As others have noted, the 2 terraces are absolutely fantastic!!! The apartment itself does not have a lot of furnishings - the huge wrap around sofa is however, very comfortable. But then, I spent most of my time out on the terrace while I was there. The views are just gorgeous and I guarantee you will spend most of your apartment time, outside! This is Europe and things are different than in the US. I used the downstairs bed and en suite bath and both were wonderful. Be warned that the other bathrooms are much smaller, and there is no curtain or door for the downstairs shower or upstairs shower, so water will be on the floor. But again, that is how things are in Italy in many places. Just something to get used to.

This was the first time I have used VBRO, or any kind of apartment rental, and Emanuele made everything so easy. I had made a mistake on what time we needed to check out, and a phone call to him the afternoon before, and he was able to accommodate us. All of his email responses were always very quick, and he was a pleasure to deal with in person as well.

The apartment was very clean and everything was as advertised and as pictured. We did not use the laundry facilities in the apartment since this was our first stop on our trip. The "ladder" to get up there is interesting to say the least - not for the faint of heart - I think it is best left to someone much younger :-) There is an elevator to the apartment that is VERY small, but once you use it, it is very useful as the apartment is up several flights of stairs. There are actually 2 different elevators, one to use with luggage and one just for people. There is a small flight of stairs to the apartment once the elevator reaches the top floor. Wifi (free) was always strong and always available. There was also a phone that can be used while you are there to make reservations or if you need to contact Emanuele.

Bus stops and taxis are available within easy walking distance of the apartment should you need them. As is the Metro stop. The Metro and taxi stand are located on Piazza del Popolo just 1 block away. There are many restaurants in the area as well. Many attractions are within walking distance - of course, the Piazza del Popolo, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Victor Emmanuel Monument, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain - although it was under restoration when we were there.

I would certainly recommend this apartment to others. I would certainly recommend Emanuele and Home Away!!!
