The Owner really loves the life stlye the Hawaiian Islands has to offer, it is simple and warm. She has lived on Oahu and in Kona, but She prefers the East side of the Big Island. Swimming, snorkeling off one of the local catamarans and relaxing under a palm tree are just a few things the owner loves to do.

1 BR home outside of Hilo
Very clean and accommodating home. Excellent location between Hilo and Volcanoes National Park. No need to overpack as the property has laundry facilities. We had 4 guests in our group and had plenty of room. Plenty of maps, information on the island is available at the home to assist in your vacation planning - please leave them for the next guests. I highly recommend the property to anyone planning a stay on the Big Island.
We throughly enjoyed out stay !
The house was very homey and comfortable, we loved the jetted tub. I would recommend this house for anyone. We were able to visit the volcano national park and all of the south and the east side spots. We went to the punaluu black sand beach and we went up to the top of the mountain to see the observatories. We also went to the waterfalls on the hamakua coast. The house is very private and just about 10 minutes off of the main highway.
Our stay was wonderful. House was perfect!
House was wonderful, fully furnished/secluded and private yet close to many attractions/volcano natl park/beaches/had a wonderful time. Patti was a great hostess and was there for us with any questions or help we needed. Loved it!
Thank you Georgiana for writing a review. It was a pleasure to have you as a guest.
Much Aloha, Patty
Excellent! We had an outstanding time.
The house was cozy and clean. It was well stocked with all of the conveniences of home. There were plenty of dishes, pots and pans, towels, anything needed to make our trip comfortable. Ms. Summers was an excellent host and was a wealth of information concerning the Big Island. When we had questions, she was more than happy to get back to us with an answer. The house is private yet conveniently located nears stores and Highway 11. It was an easy drive from Hilo airport and we had no problem finding the property. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Big Island of Hawaii. Thank you Ms. Summers for an unforgettable vacation. We certainly plan on returning in the the future.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am so glad that you had a excellent vacation. I understand that you were able to visit the entire Island even spending a night in Kona and going to a Luau. I hope that this vacation will be truly memorable for years to come.
Just came back from my stay at Patricia's house. stayed 16 nights and loved it. if you are looking for a place away from all the noise of the city this is the place. had the best sleep that I had in years, so peaceful. the place is very homey and felt very safe and very clean. the place looks just like the pictures. had coffee in the balcony every morning just listening to the birds all you see are just trees, plants, birds, butterflies, lizards and geikos. it was wonderful. Patricia provides everything you need in a home. just need to bring your suitcases and food. do not have to buy water, the water at house is very good. Patricia even went out of her way one very very rainy day to get my glasses which I forget at the house and brought them to me while I was stranded on the road, cause I can not see anymore. so for that I give this place 100 stars. would stay here again. being I was there during Christmas the house even had Christmas decorations which was very nice, she even left goodies for me to enjoy. the place is out of the way, but the drive up the hill is very easy, rolling hills and all the locals would wave to me as I passed by. so yes I would recommend this place for your next vacation:)
Linda from california
Hi Linda, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It means a lot to me to know that you were comfortable and enjoyed the house. I really try to make my guests comfortable and give them everything they need to feel at home and at an affordable price. Please come again. Aloha, Patricia
Aloha! What a beautiful home! I loved all the appliances, especially having a crock-pot and of course the coffee grinder for that fresh roasted Hawaiian coffee! The welcome basket Patty left for us was wonderful! We loved the little touches like the mini chocolates bars by the couch. The house was very clean and fresh. The property is beautiful and well kept. We grilled out almost every evening and I was on the lanai every morning to greet the sun. It really was perfect for us and we will definitely be reserving this home again very soon! Patty was quick to respond to any questions we had. There is absolutely nothing negative I can say about our nearly two week stay. Mahalo Patty!
Thank you so much, It was a great pleasure to have you for guests. I always love it when my guests are comfortable and happy. Thank you for leaving the house in great condition when checking out. A hui hou, Patty
Although the sights are to numerous to mention. A few of the sights I find interesting are: * Volcano National Park, located in Volcano. *Ahalanui Hot Pond; a natural hot water pond for swimming which is a naturally heated pond and is heated from the volcano's heat, this pond sits at the oceans edge. *The black sand beaches which are located in Punaluu and Hilo. *The numerous waterfalls and tropical gardens are located in Keaau and just outside of Hilo. The Big Island of Hawaii has lots to offer so please come and explore.
