My wife and I had a great stay at Star View Cabin – Riverfront. It was just what we were looking for. The cabin had awesome views of the mountains and the Shenandoah River. We enjoyed watching sunsets and viewing the bright stars from the night sky from the hot tub. We enjoyed walking down to the river each day and we saw many animals, deer, eagles, rabbits. One night we had three deer within 20 yards of us in the back yard and we watched them from the spacious windows and sliding glass door above for close to fifteen minutes. We also got to catch a brief snow storm with the mountains as a backdrop. The cabin was nice and warm and had a good layout. We enjoyed running the fireplace each night before bed and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to get out and do some antiquing at local shops Nina was a great host and she was able to answer our questions and she had thought about all of our needs before we got there. Thank you for a great stay. We will be back.

We had an awesome time at the cabin! The views are amazing. The cabin was spacious and clean. We loved the fire pit, fireplace, and hot tub. The cabin is in a perfect location close to Luray and the caverns and Shenandoah National Park. Highly recommend. We would definitely go back.

We had a great stay at this cabin! Spent most of our time visiting Shenandoah National Park. My only complaint is we couldn’t get the fireplace to turn on and there were a lot of cob webs mainly in the bathroom and kitchen. We were disappointed that we didn’t get to use the firepit due to the weather (rain and wind) but we had a lovely stay. Absolutely LOVED all the fall colors!! We don’t get that in Florida!

The view and hot tub are wonderful, and I really appreciate that this place allows dogs. That said, we didn’t find the home to be particularly clean. There was hair in the bathroom sink, dirt on the floors, and overall the home was dusty

Cozy cabin with a nice view, clean hot tub, full kitchen with everything we needed. We brought our own sheets and towels, washer, and dryer there which was helpful.

I was very impressed with the beautiful view from the cabin. However, the cabin could have been a little cleaner. The toilet had not been cleaned after previous guest and the bathroom faucet needed to be wiped off. The previous guest left dishes in the dishwasher that we did not use because we did know if they were clean. Cabin WiFi was not good, the tv streaming services froze up a lot and we could not use more than one device at a time. I also did not like leaving the key in the key box every time we left the house. But overall the cabin met our needs for our weekend getaway. The hot tub under the stars was definitely a highlight of our stay. I would recommend this VRBO to others.

The cabin was perfect for the two of us. Enjoyed mornings drinking coffee on the deck watching the sun touch the mountains. Heard ospreys every morning, and watched an eagles fly over the river. We hope to come back and experience it again!

The property and house was so so beautiful. Access to the river and the views of the mountains made it such a great trip. Really close to Shenandoah NP as well. We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. Our visit was during some extremely hot weather and the house stayed nice and cool despite the heat outside. The bed was comfortable, we really enjoyed the movie theater seat style couch and the kitchen was equipped with enough dishes, pots etc.The views from the deck were so beautiful - better than some of the views at the national park! It was very serene, we enjoyed seeing the baby cows down the road, stargazing, and walking down to the river. The road to the house is gravel/rock so if you have a choice of vehicles go with something that is not low to the road.

Wonderful, relaxing stay

The pictures on VRBO do not do this place justice. It is beautiful here. The view from the porch is absolutely amazing. Location is close to anything you need. We kayaked nearby, hiked, ziplined, and fished every night. My kids even braved the dark to try some catfishing! They are HUGE and plentiful from the fishing area! You feel very secluded there. We even saw the Milky Way! We grilled, watched movies and just had a wonderful time!

Slice of Heaven

We spent 4 days using the cabin as a home base for hiking Shenandoah National Park, but we could have stayed on the property the whole time for how beautiful it was. The mountain views were absolutely spectacular and stole the show as they were visible from large windows in the entire home including the master bedroom. The house was warmly welcoming and very clean. The host was gracious and had invaluable tips for canoe rentals and even offered insider knowledge on the best spot in the river to set a chair and read. The river was only a short walk away, and the house being up on a hill made seeing the views all the more possible, so I don't think there could be a better location for a vacation home. The hot tub was the cherry on top as a relaxing way to end a long day of hiking, as it also faces the mountains and the sunset. Only a short drive to the Luray caverns and restaurants. All we can think about is returning. We have no complaints except that the trip had to end!

This property is incredible, the mountain views plus the river access makes this place feel like a resort. Here are some tips:-If you're adults escaping a toddler and trying to sleep in, bring a sleeping mask, the morning sun is bright!-At the river there are trails, if you go to the right (facing the river) there is a rocky area that is great for stepping into to cool off, no river mud (thinks Nina for tip!)-this place is amazing for fishing especially with kids, we caught countless fat sunnies and chased a huge muskie all weekend that we failed to catchThe location is great and if it had been a bit cooler we would've ventured into Shenandoah,, instead we enjoyed some air conditioned flea markets during the day and the views/fishing at night. Perfection.

We enjoyed our stay at the Star View Cabin. The view from the back deck was beautiful. I enjoyed seeing the rabbits and deer in the yard and area. We walked to the river, and sat for a while. It was nice. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean. I would stay here again.

I canoed this part of the river more than 20 years ago and thought it the most beautiful stretch of river I had ever seen. We feel so fortunate to enjoy such a beautiful place and have enjoyed guestst coming from all over the world, returning families, their friends, and now their children here on Cedar Point Farm. People enjoy fields, woods, all kinds of wildlife, and we even have astronomers come to enjoy the night sky. We are proud to share this beautiful spot with others who come to appreciate the beauty of the area. This cabin is wheelchair friendly for easy access to enjoy relaxing by the fire or to be outside enjoying a beautiful sunset. We hope you choose to experience the beauty of the Shenandoah River Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains with us on Cedar Point Farm.
