Why The Owner chose Shenandoah Valley

I canoed this part of the river more than 20 years ago and thought it the most beautiful stretch of river I had ever seen. We feel so fortunate to enjoy such a beautiful place and have enjoyed guestst coming from all over the world, returning families, their friends, and now their children here on Cedar Point Farm. People enjoy fields, woods, all kinds of wildlife, and we even have astronomers come to enjoy the night sky. We are proud to share this beautiful spot with others who come to appreciate the beauty of the area. This cabin is wheelchair friendly for easy access to enjoy relaxing by the fire or to be outside enjoying a beautiful sunset. We hope you choose to experience the beauty of the Shenandoah River Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains with us on Cedar Point Farm.

What makes this cabin unique

This Cabin boasts unbelievable views from the kitchen, dining, living and bedroom areas. The one story design of the cabin with walk-in shower, support bars, make it inviting for people of all ages and mobility.

Amazing Views

  • 5 of 5

Loved this cabin! The views were amazing! It was close to all the amenities but far enough out to be alone with nature!

Absolutely AMAZING !!!

  • 5 of 5

The views are incredible, the cabin is beautiful and very nicely appointed , the river access is awesome , with adirondac chairs under a shady tree .... can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our time here !!! One thing that was a concern for our teenage daughters was the lack of cell service and wifi which in hindsight as we spoke on our way home ended up being one of the things all of us were grateful for as we reconnected in a way we haven't in years !!!! We played , we read , we enjoyed an email , Facebook , text , and Instagram free week as a family in this beautiful blissfull paradise . Our last night was a true gift and we now understand how the cabin got its name , for the first time of the week there was no cloud cover and my daughter and I were treated to one of the best star gazing times we've ever had including 4 shooting stars . Planning to come back next summer , highly recommend this cabin !!!!

Owner's Response: So glad you had a great time. The stars a a treat for sure! Enjoying the riverfront is always relaxing. We look forward to your next visit. We have asked guests repeatedly about putting in wifi and people continue to vote "no." One cn use the wifi at the top of the hill but the extra step seems to keep folks from using wifi constantly. Best to you, Nina

Stunning views, spacious and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Stunning views! Very comfortable and spacious. Loved the open floor plan. I can't imagine a more peaceful place to stay. Host is very responsive and helpful. So many different things to do in the area. We would love to return here in the future. Only con for us was that beds were too soft. Overall an amazing place to stay and we recommend it very highly.

Amazing Views and Comfortable Accommodations

  • 5 of 5

We arrived on Friday March 24th, upon arrival to the driveway we were a bit confused, but caught on quickly and just continued driving on the stone road/driveway to the house! Once we arrived at the cabin, we were blown away by the views outside. Pictures do no justice! We did have a few cloudy nights during our stay but did get to stargaze on two nights. The walk to the river is peaceful and beautiful and the walking trail along the river is very nice for a stroll. Our dog also had a fabulous time, trotting through the river and eyeing up the geese to make sure they stayed put. The kitchen and household accommodations were great. We cooked in all weekend, used the barbeque, and even baked a birthday cake! We really took advantage of everything provided. The local attractions are very close- the caverns and the whole complex that the caverns are within, is awesome. Skyline drive is also right around the corner, which was great. We experienced driving Skyline Dr, in the clouds! (white knuckled) The long weekend went WAY too fast, and we were sad to go. We will definitely be back, perhaps to take advantage of the farm house on the property! Speaking of the farm house, there was a bachelorette party staying there during the same weekend, and I have to say, we barely heard a peep all weekend! This whole property is sprawling and very private. It is a true gem. Thank you again Nina for allowing folks to enjoy your home as well!
