Safe and spacious apartment. Great for a short trip, located right at the centre of Venice. The apartment was quite dusty and I think it could do with a deep clean.

Great location

You cannot beat the location, just start exploring before 930am otherwise the tourists will make movement hard. Nearby grocery stores and Drogeries (wine and gourmet shops) meant eating in was inexpensive and a delight.

Very comfortable stay, super location!

We had very comfortable stay in the flat, the location is unbeatable, wifi strong and reliable. It has 2 heaters and we were very warm. The unit has everything we needed and more. The communication with the host was great and we could check in earlier, much appreciated.

Great location and apartment.

This apartment met all our requirements. Two of us stayed there for two weeks and found it very comfortable. There was a very nice bathroom, and the kitchen was very adequate. The location is near the canal, bridge, and vaporetto stops. It was a short walk to San Marco and other places we wanted to visit.It was easy to work with the owner on several reservation changes. Our stay was a good value for the price we paid! We highly recommend this property.

Perfect Venetian Experience

The apartment was great value for money in an amazing location by the Rialto bridge which meant I didn't get lost too much! It was thrilling being right beside the canal and hearing and seeing all the comings and goings. The apartment was clean and had everything I needed. Luckily the owner sent a friend to meet me from the vaporetto stop to help find it for the first time. Highly recommended!

Boys Apartment

It is situated close to all the sites, but if the water bus isn’t running it’s a 29 min walk from the train station. The apartment is spacious and has all the necessities, but gives the vibe of a boys college apartment. Is right off a canal, which is fun, but the canal is busy.

Home from Home

I adored staying at Paola's apartment. It really felt like a home from home and was larger than I thought it was from the photos on VRBO. One of things from a previous review that enticed me to book was the mention of watching gondola's pass by out the window and it was one of the charms of staying in the property. Loved it. It is very central and close to Rialto Bridge. Obviously being central means there can be a bit of noise but I think all the other aspects makes up for this. I found Paola and Barbara very helpful and kind. I would be very happy to stay here again.

Great place to enjoy Venice

A very comfortable apartment, quite near the Rialto bridge. I still can't find my way to St. Marks Square from there, but everytime I got lost I discovered a new area. That's a Venice thing. I greatly enjoyed sitting in the windowsill in the afternoons, chatting with the tourists passing by in the gondolas. Didn't use much of the kitchen, but the wash machine was handy. Water was always hot in the sinks and shower. Bed was very comfortable. TV has a lot of channels, though none I could find in English. The WiFi substituted for that.

Excellent location

Nice clean appartment right on the canal next to Rialto bridge making it very easy to go to any place in Venice and find the way back. Check in and communication was good. Barbara was great, she even met us near vaporetto stop and led us to the place. The apartment was well stocked. No complains. 2 issues we had: 1. this is old house and you can not have too many electrical appliances working at the same time. There are switches in the hall you have to turn on if lights go out. 2. Key to the apartment not always work. Sometimes you have to try multiple times. Might just need some maintenance. These were minor inconviniences. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay again if I am back in Venice.

GREAT TRIP IN JULY 2025

Paola messaged me in advance with a phone number of Orsola who met us and lead us to an appartment. Location is excellent, so many great places(historic landmarks, restaurants, promenade) are within a short walking distance, canal view from the window is very interesting with gondolas and taxis passing by. Washing machine is a big plus. Kitchen has mostly everything needed. I would add utility tongs,a nutcracker, slotted spoon, maybe a spoon rest(but you can use a plate). Unfortunately, on the last night, my daughter was bitten by a mosquito multiple times because we kept windows open for fresh air. I was not instructed on trash disposal. One morning, I spotted a garbage boat outside, opened a window and they told me to aim my bag to the garbage receiver. We ended up without wifi that was very important to us. It added a stress to out trip. You need an internet for modern kids and things like airport check in at least. I ended up spending EUR 25 at a nearby store buying data simcard. Beds are futons, comfy enough. I would replace pillows, a couple of the were clumpy. There were only two of us so we managed but if you have a larger group, someone will end up with a neck problem in the morning. I would definitely, come back and book the same appartment and recommend it highly with its price and location. I wish that taxi would arrive directly at the door, the option is available but taxi drivers refuse to go to a local canal. Be ready for many steps on your way.

Great location--what a view!

We loved our stay at Paola's apartment! The location can't be beat--3 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge where you can catch a vaparetto to go (almost) anywhere! The bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked great (had to replace batteries for the remote during our stay, but batteries were in a drawer), plenty of linens--albeit slightly older than what one might expect in a hotel, but in good condition, communication with Paola was excellent on every occasion when I reached out, and the size of the apartment felt more spacious than what we were expecting from the pictures. The only downsides: 1) We decided to stay in and cook dinner one night and the only 2 knives were rather dull and difficult to slice vegetables and bread; 2) There was no lid for the large pasta pot (just an FYI) ; 3) The small refrigerator was adequate for our stay but the freezer could use a defrosting so that ice can be made and 4) We couldn't get the TV to turn on (it might have been something we weren't doing right...not sure) but hey, who comes to Venice to watch TV anyway, right?!? Overall, though, we gave our review 5 stars because we had a GREAT experience in our first (but hopefully not our last) visit to Venice. As mentioned in other reviews, the apartment's location on a small canal is incredible...felt as if we could've reached down and snatched the hat off the head of a passing gondolier! Thank you, Paola, for everything! I would absolutely stay here again!!!

Excellent emplacement, un peu bruyant

Très bel appartement fonctionnel idéalement situé près du Rialto, donnant sur un canal. A les inconvénients de ses avantages : un peu humide, et bruyant certains matins vers 7h-7h30 (déchargement de livraisons depuis le canal). Échanges très fluides avec l’amie de la propriétaire qui nous a accueillis et donné d’excellentes recommandations pour notre séjour.

Très bien situé dans le cœur de Venise permettant d' approcher la vie quotidienne dans ses quartiers anciens. Ne pas oublier que l'étroitesse des rues rend les appartements peu lumineux. Appartement parfait pour découvrir Venise

Nous nous sommes régalés à Venise durant notre séjour. L'appartement est propre, fonctionnel, très bien situé et calme. Alberto est venu nous accueillir et s'est montré très prévenant et de bons conseils. Paola répond rapidement aux mails, elle est arrangeante sur les horaires, nous avons pu profiter de l'appartement un peu plus longtemps le dernier jour. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir une prochaine fois.

Appartement très original, très propre, très bien équipé et surtout extrêmement bien situé car très proche du pont Rialto, de la place Saint Marc ..... Le petit canal qui passe sous les fenêtres est typique, on est vraiment en immersion totale au milieu des Vénitiens Nous étions 2 personnes, nous y avons passé 5 nuits au mois de mai. Nous reviendrons dans cet appartement si nous revenons à Venise c'est sur !!! Merci Paola !!! Magali F.

A charming apartment in the center of Venice

A lovely apartment in the very center of Venice. It is very well located, close to Rialto bridge, vaporetto stops, San Marco square, cafés, etc. It's so romantic to watch through the window the gondolas sailing in the narrow channel... Paola's apartment is nice and cosy, equipped with everything you need for a comfortable living. We really enjoyed our stay there!

Très bien placé

Le logement est idéalement situé , à deux pas des commerces (boulangerie, supérette, magasins divers), 5 min du pont rialto et ses nombreuses lignes de vaporetto. La place San Marco toute proche également. Par contre à savoir que le canal, c'est comme une rue chez nous. Et donc forcément les livraisons des magasins et restaurants se font juste en dessous de votre fenêtre de la chamber. Bon, ça a son charme d'entendre les italiens crier de bon matin :-) Comme le disent d'autres avis, l'appartement est un peu rudimentaire mais rien ne manque. Les canapés lits sont très confortables. Du à l'architecture de la ville (Immeubles très hauts et canaux escarpés) l'appartement n'est pas très lumineux. Nous y avons seulement pris nos petits déjeuners. La porte en accordéon de la sdb n'offre pas une très grande intimité aux toilettes mais il y a un poste radio dans la cuisine :-) Paola n'était pas à Venise lors de notre séjour mais une de ces amies est venue nous attendre à l'arrêt du Vaporetto et nous a conduit jusqu'à l'appartement. Le point fort de cet appartement est bien évidemment sa location centrale qui vous permet de rentrer à pied tard le soir lorsque les vaporetto ne circulent plus aussi souvent sans devoir attendre la ligne de nuit. Les rues très étroites qui ne m'inspiraient pas confiance la nuit, grande courageuse que je suis, sont d'ailleurs très sures, il y a toujours des gens partout qui se promêment.

Très joli appartement .

Très bon accueil d'Alberto , véritable guide touristique , et de Francesca , très disponible au téléphone pour nous guider . Appartement très mignon , très bien situé et avec toutes les commodités . Une propreté exemplaire ! Quel enchantement d'être au bord d'un canal et de voir passer les gondoles ! Nous avons rencontré la propriétaire , Paola , très accueillante et se souciant de notre confort . Vraiment un beau petit endroit pour séjourner dans la sérénissime . A visiter absolument ! Nous recommandons ++++

Accueil sympathique d'Alb...

Accueil sympathique d'Alberto qui nous attendait à notre descente du vaporetto pour nous conduire à l'appartement. Il a également pris le temps de nous indiquer sur un plan quelques adresses utiles (restaurants, supermarchés...). L'appartement est effectivement très bien situé par rapport au point du Rialto et de la place Saint Marc, qui sont des points d'interet majeurs. Il est vraiment très agréable d'être au coeur de Venise et de pouvoir se retirer au calme et au frais (avec 35°C début Aout 2013 à Venise, retrouver un appartement climatisé est un vrai bonheur!). le passage régulier des gondoles sous vos fenêtres a quelque chose de magique. Appartement simple et sans prétention mais agréable. Juste un petit point d'amélioration: une poele à frire antiadhésive et/ou un petit four seraient bienvenus pour mieux profiter des poissins frais du marché du Rialto.
