Could not have asked for more

The apartment is exactly as described, very comfortable, well equipped and very clean and in an ideal location. Noise wasn't a problem from the location or the bars in the vicinity for sleeping. Lola was a brilliant host, she gave us lots of information and was very friendly. The area is ideal for either travelling to other areas or just walking into Jerez to sightsee or enjoy tapas. There is a bar just opposite which hosts flamenco evenings which was a bonus.

Lovingly maintained apartment in quiet setting

Super friendly, helpful property owner. Free parking about 250m away from apartment. Apartment is located in a residential area about a mile away from most sights and restaurants. There is a good grocery though (Supermercado Dia) just a 3min walk away. And some good restaurants like Tabankino Tabanco Gourmet and Restaurante Albala very close but require reservations for Friday and Saturday nights. Seemingly everyone eats out those nights. Also be sure to see the Flamenco show at Tabanco El Pasaje. Show runs 30min. Get there about 10min before it starts and buy a drink at the bar. As easy as that! Great fun.

Small cozy apartment centrally located.

Small cozy apartment, kitchen is small and works for a short stay, (another plug would be helpful in kitchen, only 1 plug for microwave so unable to plug in kettle) small bathroom with slippery tub/shower bought a slip proof bath mat then much better. Good walking location,10 minute walk to center of old town with lots of restaurants, grocery 2 blocks. Owner Jose very friendly and helpful with recommendations and thank you for the bottle of local wine for us to try! Small hot water heater, so shower fast. Washing machine a plus, drying rack provided. Community rooftop deck up 1 flight, sunny in mid day until about 430p, didn’t really use because we were out sightseeing at that time. Some basics to provide would be helpful: paper towels, trash bags, salt/pepper. Recommendation- bathroom needs more thorough cleaning, dusty lights and mildew on shower curtain. Otherwise apartment very clean. Overall, we had a pleasant 8 day stay and recommend this apartment for touring Jerez.

Just Wonderful!

Jerez was a gem, and so was this place. The location is excellent, and a fairly short walk to anyplace. It felt very safe. A bodega was next door, a supermercado was about a block away. . The area was reasonably quiet, and it was very quiet inside the unit. The unit was complete and comfortable. We didn't cook, but it looked like the kitchen was fully equipped (except for wine glasses...odd, but in all the places we stayed in Spain, only one had wine glasses). Marian and Jose were great hosts; Jose helped orient us to Jerez and told us the places to go and how to get there. Parking was safe and reasonably close by, but we never used the car while we were there. Just too much to do that was walkable. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was small, but worked well (except that the window in the shower leaked water into the hallway outside, and we couldn't figure out how to stop it. Not a huge problem, but I hated to leak water into a pool onto the tile floor outside. It took a while for the air conditioning to cool the apartment off, but once it did, it worked really well. The interior walls had a very coarse sand finish. If you happen to have a little too much sherry one night and walk down the hallway without turning on the light, be careful not to scrape your elbows along the wall. Just saying. There was a patio up top overlooking the church, but we never used it. There was no real shade, and not much in the way of inviting seating, but honestly, wandering around the town was way more fun to us than sitting up there. We found a great restaurant in Plaza Del Banco called Cafe Nicolas, and their Chicken Amontillado was just heaven. We actually had good food almost everywhere in Jerez. It was a great town, and very underrated as a destination. If you go, you can't go wrong staying here.

Zentral gelegenes Cityapartment

Es hat alles super geklappt. Die Kommunikation mit Lola verlief reibungslos. Wir haben eine tolle Zeit in einem lebendigen Viertel in Jerez verlebt. Die Wohnung liegt sehr günstig und ist ruhig. Man hat alles, was man braucht. Die Nachbarn sind auch nett und hilfsbereit.

kompakte Wohnung in guter Lage zum Zentrum

Für unsere Zwecke ( Ausflüge in die Region ) war die Lage der Wohnung in Jerez sehr gut. Der Check-in durch José war perfekt. Beste Beratung hinsichtlich der Umgebung und der Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Auch während unseres Aufenthalts immer für nützliche, umfassende Informationen da. Die Wohnung ist auch von außerhalb gut und schnell zu erreichen, das Stadtzentrum mit unzähligen Tapas-Gaststätten fußläufig in 10 Minuten erreichbar. Auch ein Supüermarkt ist nur 200m entfernt. Wir konnten fast immer direkt vor dem Haus kostenlos parken, 5 Gehminuten entfernt ist aber auch ein größerer kostenfreier Parkplatz. Für naturverbundene Menschen ist eine solche Stadtwohnung eher nichts, denn die Aussicht vom Minibalkon oder auch von der Dachterasse zeigt nichts Grünes. Für die Dachterasse muss man die Wohnung verlassen und über eine Treppe hochgehen, wirklich gemütlich ist die allerdings nicht, weshalb wir die auch nie genutzt haben.

Eintauchen in das Herz von Jerez

Wir hatten drei sehr schöne Wochen in dieser Wohnung. Wir waren viel unterwegs und darum hat uns ein fehlender direkter Sonnenzugang nicht so sehr gestört. Gerne hätten wir die Dachterrasse mehr genutzt, da dies aber "nur" das Dach des Hauses ist, haben wir uns nicht recht getraut. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön schattig und sehr ruhig. Gegenüber liegt eine kleine Bodega "Chiri" - dort haben wir oft einen letzten Absacker (Fino) zu uns genommen. Der Vermieter, Josè, hat uns herzlich empfangen, alles in tollem Englisch erklärt und viele gute Tipps gegeben. Vielen Dank für eine schöne Zeit! Claudia und Klaus aus Hamburg

Gut gelegen, am Rand des Zentrums von Jerez. Gemütliche Wohnung mit allem was nötig ist. Sehr netter Vermieter, der uns Tipps fur Stadt und zur Umgebung gab und mit mails zu aktuellen Veranstaltungen versorgte. Küche gut ausgestattet, wir haben immer Frühstück gemacht und auch mehrmals gekocht.

lovely stay in nice central apartment in Jerez. The owners Marion and Jose were very helpful in recommending places to go. Jose came to see us off on our departure and booked our taxi to the airport which was good. We like Jerez for its culture and the atmosphere and the sunshine is a bonus. We also liked the fruit and fish market seen nothing like it in the UK. Also Jerez is a good base for visiting the surrounding area. You can get to Arcos, Chipiona and Sanlucar by bus cheaply, By train to Cadiz, San Fernando, and Valdelagrana. No need for car hire.

Excellent hosts

This apartment was large and comfortable, and we really appreciated having a free parking lot very close by for our rental car. Marian was quick to respond to emails, and her kind husband, Jose, was very punctual in meeting us when we arrived. He was also a great resource for activities, especially for flamenco shows (which was really the main reason we wanted to visit Jerez), for which he emailed us daily with the shows and venues available for the particular day. There is a grocery store very close to the apartment, and all of the main sites (the Alcazar, the Cathedral, the market) as well as great tapas bars are a short walk from the apartment. Thank you, Marian and Jose, for a great stay in Jerez.

Spotless, bright, great location, Spanish life on the doorstep!

A great place to stay to get to know the 'working town with history' that is Jerez. Location was ideal, a 10 minute walk through the old streets and you're in the lively, interesting town centre. Recommend paying a little bit extra to combine the bus tour with a visit to Tio Pepe bodega - fascinating tour. Hosts Marian and Jose gave helpful suggestions - e.g. for a Flamenco bar (El Pasaje - not to be missed) and a favourite restaurant (El Albala). Outside the town, Cadiz, the white villages and the beaches of the Costa are easily reached.

Nice flat with all you need for a comfortable stay at jerez

Nice flat with everything you need for a comfortable stay at Jerez. We didn´t use the car, because everything is near and you can walk within 10 or 15 minutes to all important places, Alcazar, bars, shopping horseshow... We always had contact to Jose, who gave us a lot of flamencotipps. Thanks, we enjoy our stay and would come back, should we visit Jerez again.
