The house was very well kept and very comfortable. The fenced in back patio was great for our little dogs to run around and enjoy themselves. The raccoon living in the large oak near the front porch provided daily entertainment, his name is Charley now. We will definitely stay at the house again and recommend it to friends!
Lovin Tybee Time !
Great place, wonderful patio, roomy comfortable house, close to food, shops & beach yet out of the way.
Hi Sid, thanks for taking the time to write a review. It’s great to hear that you had a good time. Thanks for the compliments about the beach house. You said it best, being on “Tybee Time” is so relaxing. Take care, Sherry
Great Beach Trip!
The house was great, met all of our needs with ample family and lounging space. Short walk to the beach and the little shops/ coffee shop.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. I’m glad you enjoyed the beach house. Keep us in mind for a future visit.
Take care, Sherry
Very nice inside, meh outside. GREAT location!
Enjoyed our stay and the interior was comfortable and clean 👍🏽👍🏽
Two issues: The screens are old. We couldn’t open the windows without having dozens of gnats/bugs swarming the ceiling and lights. The fire pit was full of wet debris and not useable 👎🏽👎🏽 The picture of the fire was one of the reasons we chose the property
Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and our house. Thanks also for pointing out the issues you had with the house. We are on our way to tybee and will certainly check them out. The windows and screens were installed a few years ago and you should have been able to enjoy the fresh air without any bugs. Sounds like the fire pit needs a good cleaning and we will definitely address that issue. I apologize for the condition. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. Take care. Sherry
Our family enjoyed our visit to Tybee Island.
The house was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of room for our family. We really liked the location.
Thank you for the review. I’m glad the beach house and the area was to your liking. I hope you will consider us for a future visit. Thanks again. Sherry
Fantastic home close to shopping and restaurants!!!!
My sister, her small dog, and I spent the month of February this year at this residence. Our overall impression of our stay was very positive. The only negative aspect related to our stay was the confusion related to the address. It was impossible to receive a Valentine's Day gift by FedEx after many attempts. There are several street names on a post at the end of the driveway and locating the residence was confusing even to a cab driver that lives on Tybee Island. My main concern would be if someone needed to phone 911 for a fire or medical emergency and there would be no response. Every other comment about the house is extremely positive. It was a great place to have a dog and it was wonderful to have a fenced yard. The yard was also nice for adults; complete with a grill, a nice table and chairs, and several chaise lounges. We spent a lot of time sitting outside as the weather was 70-80 degrees the entire time. The house was nice in that it had TVs in the living room and in all of the three bedrooms. It was also convenient to have the separation of bedrooms to allow for privacy since one of the bedrooms was off of the living room and the other two were near each other. It was also great to have two full bathrooms. The house also came complete with a wagon full of beach toys and chairs which is nice since the beach is only a short walk away. Being from Iowa, I don't have access to beaches so I spent a lot of time reading, walking and collecting seashells at the beach; both downtown and near the residence. The location of the house was also very convenient to shopping and restaurants. There is a bar/restaurant across the street from the house called Huc A Poos. It is quite popular among the locals and with travelers. I only ate there once but the pizza was very good and inexpensive. The beer was very cold and it was nice to sit outside to enjoy a few drinks. There is also another good pizza restaurant called Lighthouse Pizza that is a few blocks away which was great. We enjoyed a vegetable pizza there. We also discovered several small stores next to Huc A Poos that carry Tybee Island items and other unique items. With regard to Tybee Island, there are several restaurants closer to downtown that are very good. We ate at Stingray's Seafood two times and loved the salmon and shrimp there. We also enjoyed dining at Fannies on the Beach and Spanky's; both facing the beach with outdoor seating. Enjoyable experience!!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. I’d like to take credit for the weather, but...I’m glad it was nice. Being outdoors is a plus, especially when we live up north. I appoligize for the address confusion. The city changed our address and if we have guests put it in their gps, it takes you to another neighborhood. The address we use takes you to the front of the house and, since there isn’t a driveway, we tell guests to drive around the block. I can see how that would be a problem for 911. I can check with the city on that, so thanks. Tybee does have a lot of great restaurants and I’m happy you got to experience them. I hope you will consider our house for a future visit if you come to tybee again. Take care, sherry
The property is located on the North end of Tybee Island. We are 800 feet to the beach and quaint shops and restaurants are one block away. Rent bicycles or drive 1 1/2 miles to the South side of the Island where you can relax on the South beach, take a walk on Tybee's Historic Pier, visit restaurants and gift shops. Eat at the popular Crab Shack or rent a jet ski at Captain Mikes. The Dolphin tours are a must. Visit the Lighthouse or tour Fort Pulaski. Enjoy a day in Historic Savannah where you can visit Museums, Antique shops, restaurants, Breweries and shopping. Stroll down River Street where you might take a riverboat ride on the Savannah River. Check out City Market. Savannah is 20 minutes away by car.
