Coastal cottage, fantastic views, sea glimpses, garden and parking.
We are a Bristol based family and have enjoyed many holidays in North Cornwall over the years. We enjoy surfing, body boarding, sailing and walking with our dog who loves running on the beach and swimming in the sea.

Why Owner chose Port Isaac
We bought Singing Cottage in 2015 because we love the area and its location. We are looking forward to many more family holidays here.

Spotless property with all the mod cons you could hope for, definitely worth a stay.
We spent 10 days at this lovely property. As other reviewers have said, the cottage has everything you need and more for a self catering holiday. The rooms are very clean, spacious and homely. Welcome gifts of cake, biscuits, milk, juice were very kindly left for us by the owner. The outdoor area is lovely for sunny days and is one of the reasons we booked the cottage. It is a steep road into Port Isaac (and back up the hill again) but we managed it twice. It’s in a great location for visits to Padstow, Rock, Tintagel, Boscastle and other places of interest. Those of you familiar with Cornwall will be aware of the narrow roads which we found a bit daunting at first but soon got used to them. All in all a fantastic holiday and would definitely recommend this lovely cottage.
Nice to hear you enjoyed your stay and managed to catch some sun too!
Hope we can welcome you back another time!
Clean, comfortable and great facilities
Spacious well decorated cottage with everything you need and a great feel good factor. A lot of care has been taken to make it as comfortable as possible and we enjoyed our stay very much.
Only one small negative. With having a dog, the garden does need to have some kind of enclosure. Then it would be perfect.
Well appointed property which is an ideal base to explore the North Cornwall coast. The property has everything that you could need and the owners were incredibly quick to respond to any queries.
The only slight warning is that the property is at the top of a very steep hill out of Port Isaac - it is demanding even if you are fit. Only a comment ....Would definitely recommend
Glad you had a great week exploring all that North Cornwall offers. Sounds like it was a busy week!
Haven’t used it ourselves but previous guests have used the Port Isaac Shuttle Bus if you don’t want to walk up
the hill. In peak weeks it runs up and down the opposite hill from the car park into the centre of Port Isaac but will also run up Church Hill too which is where SInging Cottage is located.
Spacious well equipped cottage
Had a lovely 2 week stay at Singing Cottage with my husband and our doggy. The cottage is very spacious and was very clean. Fresh flowers milk and biscuits were a nice welcome gift on arrival. The cottage has all you could need for a comfortable stay. Port Isaac is a short walk down a very steep hill which is quite challenging to walk back up to the cottage, we did the walk a few times and went by car a couple of times. Only downside for us was the garden was not fully enclosed for our dog. although the owner left us some temporary fencing which my husband spent a couple of hours erecting on arrival. And another couple of hours taking back down when we left otherwise the cottage is perfect in a lovely rural location. We would definitely recommend this property.
Holiday in Port Isaac
Upon arriving at singing cottage it was exactly as described upon getting in it was home from home tea and biscuits were left for as a welcome gift together with fresh milk in the fridge every room was immaculate the cottage was so well equipped we didn’t have to get anything apart from food the owners have thought of everything there s a huge supply of board games , dvds , cds even a portable DVD player to take out for our grandson Tommy . Even simple take for granted stuff cling film tin foil lighter for bbq. I cannot praise the owners enough we will definitely return.
As for the area and location it was very private and quiet only a 5 minute walk to Port Isacc .

From the property, guests can walk straight out onto the coastal path and access some wonderful walks, or head down into Port Isaac where restaurants, pubs, shops and freshly caught fish may be enjoyed. Also enjoy the Fishermen's Friends singing on the Platt on a Friday summer evening. Nathan Outlaw has two award winning restaurants in Port Isaac and there are many other eateries to enjoy - the Slipway and the newly refurbished Mote in the centre of Port Isaac or the Inn at Port Gaverne are all personal favourites. Other places to eat nearby are the Longcross Hotel at Port Quinn where you can enjoy lovely food and wonderful costal views.
There are many beautiful sandy beaches nearby, including Trebarwith Strand, Daymer Bay and Polzeath, – all popular for surfing and body boarding.
Rock is also very near offering a wide range of water sports and sailing club. From here, you can sail around the estuary or catch the ferry over to Padstow - a charming working fishing port surrounded by glorious sandy beaches, where a day can be spent shopping, eating out and watching harbour life.
From Padstow, families can hire bikes and enjoy a day out cycling along the Camel Trail, which then runs through the pretty market town of Wadebridge to Bodmin.
Golfers can enjoy a range of excellent courses including The Point at Polzeath, St Enodock in Rock, or the Trevose Golf Club in St Merryn.
Singing Cottage offers an ideal holiday base for a winning combination of sailing in Rock, surfing in Polzeath and shopping in Padstow.
