What a little oasis set away from all the crowds!

  • 5 of 5

Casa Jacqueline is a great get away tucked away from the highway and crowds of downtown Tulum, but easily accessible to the town, restaurants, ruins, and cenotes and theme parks. The beach was a few steps away to watch the sunrise or the sunsets on the rooftop. We stayed in the Blue Room with the outdoor shower which was really nice. You can enjoy book reading on the roof, outside your room or poolside where I was able to do yoga in the morning too! I can't say enough about our breakfast which had our family at home drooling each morning I sent the pics home! When I said I prefer a "gluten free" diet I realized I gave Jacqueline a challenge and she whipped up lemon ricotta pancakes, blintzes, biscuits and a dutch apple skillet pancake that had me wanting seconds. I hope I didn't forget anything! There were savory frittata's, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola and the BEST coffee!! When we couldn't eat it all, we took it with us to eat later!

There was also a fridge in our room which was great for meals you could not finish at night that we took home and beverages. Filtered water was provided and maid service! Every detail was thought of!

We always wondered what music would be playing when we sat down outside on the patio for breakfast and we seem no doubt to have the same taste, even Barry White (ok I am showing my age). I came away with recipes and recommendations for the best places for tacos and places to hang out. There were also some restaurants nearby we could walk to with beach bars that welcomed us if we didn't want to venture too far away. Check out Champico's up the beach if you want to pick out your Red Snapper they will fry right in front of you on the beach! There is a pizza to die for down the street so ask for that recommendation!!! I hope I didn't leave anything out! Jacqueline will recommend the best places if you ask!

November in Mexico

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I arrived in Tulum, Mexico in late November. Its was a short ride from Cancun to Tulum, about 90 minutes or so. We arrived at Casa Jacqueline in the afternoon. We were welcomed by Jackie and Dave at the entrance. We stayed in the first level 'blue room'.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was exactly what we needed and asked for: peacefulness, privacy, great breakfast and great accommodations.

We had two beaches very close to us, 5 to 10 minutes walking distance, a cenote to explore, and we were 20 minutes away in taxi from the town of Tulum and other sites. Perfect spot not too close the typical tourists noise,

We hope to be back soon!

Paradise Found

My wife and I have been traveling to the Yucatan since 1982. We chose to stay with Jacquie and Dave and we VERY happy with our decision. As restaurant owner in Chicago, the breakfasts were OFF the HOOK and along with the setting and ambiance. If you want to get way from the crowds, yet minutes to Tulum, Akumal and Cenotes, this is the place to stay. ENJOY!!!!

So much more than just the breakfast.

  • 5 of 5

Hubby and I recently spent 8 days and nights at Casa Jacqueline. I gotta say- this was the most memorable, lovely time either one of us have had staying in a B&B. What a lovely home and so incredibly well thought out and appointed. Literally anything we could think of needing or wanting was addressed, straight down to the details. It’s in an excellent location, so peaceful and unique. Almost equidistant between Akumal and Tulum with a very short drive or cheap taxi ($16 US to Tulum centro). Just seconds away from sticking your toes in the sand, watching the occasional sea turtle and crabs and just a couple minute walk away to Solomon Bay where daily, we went swimming, fly fishing and and had tasty michelada’s and ceviche at Chamico’s.

The best part? David and Jackie. What neat, neat people they are. We felt so lucky to be a part of their lives and get to know them. They were not only helpful when it came to the in’s and out’s of getting around town, but are great all around conversationalists with a rad perspective on life. We’ll definitely be back- all the while daydreaming about Jackie’s seriously killer breakfasts, laughs shared and cuddle time with sweet Peggy. :)

See you soon!

Excellent Stay at Casa Jacqueline

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I stayed at Casa Jacqueline for 2 nights and absolutely enjoyed our stay. Jacqueline was so welcoming and helpful during our stay and made the best breakfasts we've had in a long time. The room was super comfortable and the breakfast area was a beautiful way to wake up everyday. There is a wonderful cenote just down the road which is situated across the road from a nice quiet beach. If we make it back to Tulum, we will definitely be staying again!

Casa Jacqueline, best B&B with over-the-top service

  • 5 of 5

I am a single woman traveling alone in Mexico so I wanted some comforts of 'home'. I sure got more than I could have imagined. Jackie and David of Casa Jacqueline are not only superior hosts but Jackie is an amazing chef. The breakfasts were incredible...complete with fresh baked breads and muffins. Everything was so fresh and absolutely yummy. I never even considered having lunch, which gave me more time to explore the area.

The house is private but very secure and with easy excess to so many fun things to do in the area. The Tulum ruins, Coba ruins, Hidden Worlds, Xek Ha, and many cenotes are just minutes away. I do suggest renting a car as you will want to get out to do things. The roads are easy and the location of the house is a great pivot point. My big problem was to fit everything in within a week!

Jackie and David were very accessible and knowledgeable about the area. Another note, the room was lovely and super clean. Included with the room was a frig, which certainly made my stay even more comfortable as I could buy a few drinks and have it available in the privacy of my own room. Jackie and David truly made my stay absolutely stress free. I sure got spoiled to those fabulous breakfasts. Never have I had better food at a B&B and I travel A LOT.

I visit Mexico often and I usually try to stay at different places everytime. However, I will defintely be back to Casa Jacqueline as my experience was unmatched. This will be my 'go to' place in this area. Casa Jacqueline is top shelf in my book.
