Seabrook Island and Pelicans Watch is the perfect combination for a great vacation! The unit was clean and comfortable. The check in process was seamless. The unit could use some cosmetic updates but it was cheaper than other similar units and I was happy with the lower cost. You should be outside enjoying all Seabrook has to offer!
We decided last min to leave downtown Charleston and stay near the beach. So happy we did! First time staying in Seabrook and we will be back. This place is right on the beach, you can watch the sunset from the deck. Great space for a couple and child.
Spent 3 days at your property this July. This is a very comfortable condo with everything we needed. You were right about the couch bed, it was probably the most comfortable one we have found in a condo. We had a wonderful 3 days on Seabrook and wished we had stayed longer.
The only problem we had was with the amenities. The first day we were issued the wrong cards. When we contacted the office they were a little rude and after driving the distance to the office there wasn't even an apology for their mix-up. We definantly will stay at your property again though because of the ease of getting it booked through the Resort Quest.
This was a nice condo. We have stayed at Pelican's Watch every summer for about 10 years. I am going back to Seabrook with a friend at the end of July. Several things that were not great: The bed, extremely uncomfortable and creaky. No pot holders, had to go buy a pot to steam crabs in, no crackers for the crabs, every other condo we have ever stayed in has these for use. The old lady down at the end screamed at my son for digging a hole in the sand. She also STOLE his shovel. The shovel was heavy duty and had sentimental value. We adopted Colby and it was the shovel we bought we first bought him to Seabrook when he was 5, he is now 11. Several adults on the beach said that she was extremely cruel to our son. I do not appreciate her screaming and stealing his shovel. I did call security...but it seems that it really did not matter to them because no one returned his shovel and no one apologized to him. This happened last year to another young man that is a friend of ours and they now stay at the upper part of the area. She is extremely rude and I really think condos need to be discounted in her area if we have to continue to put up with her attitude. I also would like my son's shovel BACK.
We had a great time and everything was just as pictured, the beach is just a short walk through the dunes. You can sit on the deck and watch the sailboats and fishing boats while having coffee in the morning. The unit was perfect for us and when my son stayed a night the hide a bed was a pleasant surprise (very comfortable.) The VRBO staff were very helpful especially when I locked us out (thankfully we rented bikes as the phones, car keys etc. were inside.) Seabrook was everything we hoped for, beautiful, not crowded and easy to get around (I would recommend bikes.) The only downside was we could hear the little ones running across the floor in the morning from the upper unit...but who wants to stay in bed when you are in such a beautiful place.
This condo was accurately described by the owner. The condo was right on the ocean and we could walk right out to the beach. Property was clean, but somewhat dated. This condo can only hold 4 people. It provided everything that we needed during our stay. We had no trouble working with this owner and rental company. Check in and check out was very easy and hassle-free. The Island has grown and developed so beautifully since we had last visited 13 years ago. We enjoyed walking the beach, looking for sand dollars, listening to the ocean and walking around the island. We had 2 beautiful days and one very rainy and cold day. Wish we could have stayed longer to sit on the beach and relax! Downside of being on the ground floor was the very loud people above us. On the day we left, Seabrook Island had their big, family centered, Easter egg hunt! How fun for families of little children. Seabrook Island is a gem and a great place for people of all ages. We will visit again and might even consider this rental property in the future. We took in the sights of Charleston on our way out of town. What a beautiful city and so much to do and see.
