Tim and I bought this property in September of 2011 and after we retired in April 2012 we moved here to our wonderful new (to us) home. We love the country and this was a great place to us. 71 acres with 2 homes, (we live in the first house) not to large but a good piece to raise cows have our horses, dogs, cats and chickens as well as a garden.
Susan and/or Tim Smith purchased this farmhouse in 2012
We came to Tyler, TX as a friend of my husbands moved here 24 years ago and said we should come visit. We did, and loved the area and found this wonderful property. We live in the 1st house and after trying to find places for us to stay and our animals on the way here (we moved from 2300 miles away), we decided that it would be a great place to rent for folks that are traveling with animals or that want to vacation in a quiet beautiful country setting. We are not far from Tyler (7mi.) or Lindale (9 mi).
We love that the homes sit back off the road. The porches on both homes are fantastic to sit on and enjoy the beauty of the trees and pastures with 3 spring fed ponds, watching the different birds and wildlife come through is so refreshing. Both homes are older and we just feel at home and hope ya'll will too.
This is our 3rd time to stay here. We love the property and the house is just perfect for our family. Susan and Tim are wonderful folks!!!!!!
Had a great stay while in town for the Texas high school regional bass tournament. All the amenities of home and gracious owners. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it if you are ever in the Tyler area.
We went to visit our daughter and family inTyler. This was the perfect place for us. Loved the farm atmosphere. Watched some amazing sunrises. The cabin had everything needed and more! We will definitely return. Thanks to Tim and Susan for their hospitality.
A wonderful place to relax and fish... beautiful scenery and nature to relieve the city stresses. The house was great and very roomy. Wonderful accommodations. We will be back
We took a 4 generation girls trip to the Tyler area. The house was very clean and spacious. It was a perfect place to relax and visit with each other after a day of shopping. We enjoyed watching the horses and cattle. The house is tucked back in quiet farm setting. The full kitchen made meals easy. Environment was safe for women traveling alone. Susan and Tim are excellent hosts.
My wife & I stayed the month of January & half of Feb. 2017. What nice wonderful accommodations. Enjoyed the cows & horses! Very nice landlords, Sue & Tim. I asked for a lamp to be able to read the newspaper. I had not only 1 but 2 lamps! The very next day.
I would HIGHLY recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautiful, in the country atmosphere to relax & get away from the hustle & bustle of city living. The rooms & beds very comfortable, nice sheets and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. Thanks for a great stay.
