Tim and I bought this property in September of 2011 and after we retired in April 2012 we moved here to our wonderful new (to us) home. We love the country and this was a great place to us. 71 acres with 2 homes, (we live in the first house) not to large but a good piece to raise cows have our horses, dogs, cats and chickens as well as a garden.
Susan and/or Tim Smith purchased this farmhouse in 2012
We came to Tyler, TX as a friend of my husbands moved here 24 years ago and said we should come visit. We did, and loved the area and found this wonderful property. We live in the 1st house and after trying to find places for us to stay and our animals on the way here (we moved from 2300 miles away), we decided that it would be a great place to rent for folks that are traveling with animals or that want to vacation in a quiet beautiful country setting. We are not far from Tyler (7mi.) or Lindale (9 mi).
We love that the homes sit back off the road. The porches on both homes are fantastic to sit on and enjoy the beauty of the trees and pastures with 3 spring fed ponds, watching the different birds and wildlife come through is so refreshing. Both homes are older and we just feel at home and hope ya'll will too.
The hosts greeted us upon arrival and helped us get settled. The property is pristine and very comfortable. I highly recommend sitting on the front porch for your morning coffee and watching the horses amble about.
We'll definitely be back to visit!
enjoyed this home nestled in the country. all of the sleeping space came in handy while trying to gather our large family over the holidays. it was clean and comfortable. really thankful for their availability.
Graduation get together. Susan & Tim were nice & very accommodating. The house was cozy & comfortable. Thank you for the wonderful experience
This place was perfect for our large family! The owners were so nice and helpful! We will definitely be staying here again!!
This house in on a ranch, with the owners on the property. Which was ok I guess, no one bothered us. We got there at around 2am Friday morning. We were there to ride the train "Polar Express" with our grandkids. We invited some family from Louisiana to join us with their son also. So they came up Friday late and stayed with us. We all had a blast. I texted Susan to ask if we had left the house clean enough to be nice of course. Keep in mind I rented this house by the night and Not by the amount of kids.
Susan sent me a message saying "I noticed there were more people the second and third night. So if you rent this home, you may want to count kids and pets, because they will tell you about it. I felt like if she wanted to say something why wait to send me a rude message. After all we had already left headed home.
I rent a lot of home on here but this one I will not be inquiring about again
The whole 11 days we spent there was amazing close to alot of things to do but not to close quiet and serene beautiful place to vacation Tim and Susan were great and helpful and friendly but gave us our privacy it all in all was amazing thank you
