Wonderful!

This is the fourth time we have stayed at Susan's beautiful guest house. As always, it was comfortable, well stocked, and relaxing. Everything we look for in a vacation property!

Excellent stay

  • 5 of 5

Very quiet, rural location but also close to interstates to Akron and Cleveland or Ohio Turnpike. Just minutes to Hinkley Reservation, Cleveland Metro Parks and Cuyahoga Valley National Park . Very accommodating hosts. Plenty of room for two or three people or for entertaining. Fire pit, excellent outdoor pool and grounds, gas grill came in handy. Full size washer and dryer also a plus. We would stay here again.

Pretty Horses.

WOW!!!

  • 5 of 5

SO close to CVNP, amenities, grocery stores and other civilization, yet so private and secluded — and beautiful! Susan and Ralph were lovely hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed. The guest house was amazing! Attention to detail everywhere, and it felt very homey while also feeling like a proper getaway vacation. We had a short stay, but we would absolutely return since it's such a close dart from home. Took advantage and went out with Attila for a horse ride through the park before we left; how lovely was that!! He is a true cowboy at heart. The horses were well-mannered and a delight to have next to the guest house. The paths in the back of the property were very well-maintained fun to explore. And the bird watching, OMG! Bluejays, cardinals, hummingbirds, and other various finches everywhere. I could go on and on. This is a hidden gem in Ohio.

Quiet sanctuary

Second visit now, as always immaculate, comfortable and secluded yet nearby to everything. My son now that he's older really enjoyed the horses. I really can't say enough as to how much we enjoy our stays at the ranch!

Idyllic Cottage on an Ohio Horse Farm

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for a tranquil getaway in the Cleveland-Akron metropolitan area, this is the place to stay. Susan and Ralph were extremely gracious hosts, and their attention to detail was evident, from the horse-themed decor, to the provision of basic kitchen essentials. The garden is immaculately kept, with multiple bird-feeders surrounding a beautiful pool. The result is an almost Eden-like experience of rippling water and fluttering wings.

There is a Giant Eagle nearby for all your grocery needs, and the Cuyahoga National Park is about a 10-minute drive. Together with the Akron Metro Park system, it contains a multitude of well-marked trails and explanatory signage. Admission is free.

If you can, a trip to Nature Realm in Akron is worth the 20 minute drive. Had we had more time, we would also have gone to the Cleveland Museum of Art - next time maybe.
