With 6 bedrooms the Fishing Cottage is perfect for larger parties. The firepit, corn hole game, hammock, screened porch, and barbeque grill in the roomy back yard are the perfect place to gather in the evening after a day on the water surrounding the scenic Eastern Shore.

Bounded on one side by the Chesapeake Bay and on the other side by the Atlantic Ocean the Eastern Shore of Virginia enjoys unparalleled coastal living beauty. This property takes full advantage of the natural beauty and tranquility of rural living that is the trademark of the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Great Find

  • 5 of 5

I do not usually write reviews, but I always read what others write. I was not disappointed! This was a great find. Everything that you would need was provided. Exceptionally clean, close to the boat ramp and grocery store. The gran children loved it. The hospitality by owners and neighbors was truly great. The fishing trip is an annual event for my family and I will definitely book again. Thank you for a great stay.

Owner's Response: Thank you for letting us know about ways we can improve our property. A new grill is on the way to replace the one that was melted by a previous guest. Our microwave will only turn on when the clock is set. After a momentary power failure you must reset the clock before turning on the microwave. We have put a note on the microwave to advise future guests. Thank you for staying with us. We hope you will come back again.

The cottage was not what I expected and am usually accused to

  • 1 of 5

Driving up was like driving into a scene in a horror movie. Pulled up to a completely dark house, it was hard to find the right street to turn on off route 13 because of the darkness.

No lighting turned on as we entered the house presents a safety hazard. We had to leave the headlights on to see anything. Entering the house, there was an odor of old wood. The furniture was dated and there were numerous bugs in the bathrooms making a bathroom visit very uncomfortable. The house was very spacious and there were plenty of towels. The kitchen was well stocked. The price was good. It was an Adventure staying. We have stories for years.

Courteously and Professionalism

  • 5 of 5

Merle has been so helpful the entire time we were planning for our trip. I am saddened due to a hurricane and the relocation of the event we were attending that we are not able to actually follow through with staying at this location after all. But Merle handled even our change of plans and cancellation of our reservation with great courteously and professionalism. Thank you Merle! I hope someday we may get to stay at your property. But I greatly appreciate all you do to make this a great experience for your guests, even before arrival!
