You will love staying at this property! Whispering Pines Ranch House is a beautiful home on 1+ acre of land with mature trees and rock outcroppings. The views of the Mummy Range and Twin Sisters Peak are beautiful and inspiring. Whispering Pines Ranch House is in a spacious and peaceful area, and very convenient to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Wildlife, including deer, elk, coyotes, eagles, hawks, rabbits, ground squirrels, chipmunks, and an occasional badger, is often in the area. The yard is beautifully landscaped and you can choose sunshine or shade for relaxing outside. After a hike, enjoy relaxing in the hot tub and looking at the beautiful mountain views.

This home has lots of light, both from windows which offer great natural light and also plenty of lamps for reading, or overhead light for working in the kitchen.

There is a large Master Bedroom suite with a King-sized Select Number bed. The Master bathroom has a shower, a Jacuzzi tub for private soaking, and a sky light.

The second bedroom has a queen pillow top bed, mirrored closet doors, dresser, a ceiling fan, TV with DVD/VHS player. The hallway bathroom has a granite vanity top and tub/shower, and is across the hall from the second bedroom. A futon in living area provides sleeping for two people.

A third bedroom is available to those having 7-8 guest for an additional fee. The room is very large (12x25) and includes a full size bed, queen size sofa sleeper, swivel rocker, 32" flat screen tv, a smart blu-Ray DVD player and chest of drawers. This bedroom shares the full bath in the hallway with the second bedroom. Renting this room will give you the total 1800 sq ft of the property.

Gather and enjoy meals in a very large eat-in kitchen with knotty birch cabinets, an island for food preparation and essential cooking utensils. It's open to the formal dining room which makes it great for gathering with everyone included. The eat-in kitchen has a pub height table and four chairs, and TV on the wall. This very open central area of the home is a great place for everyone to gather for meals and enjoy each other's company.

The formal dining room has an Oak table and six chairs. Also two bar stools at the bar between kitchen and dining room allow versatility and companionship while preparing meals.

The family/living area has a full size couch with a recliner at each end, a gas stove, a 50 inch Sony Bravia TV and Blu-Ray player, futon and a Lazy Boy recliner. Plenty of Blu-Ray discs and DVD's are available to enjoy movies. French doors open onto a huge deck in a private yard with hot tub, two-person hammock, and table and umbrella with chairs. You can enjoy a soak, a nap, a glass of ice tea and a nice meal all with beautiful views after your hike in Rocky Mountain National Park or day in Estes Park.

Enjoy grilling on the natural gas grill and never run out of propane in the middle of grilling!

Cozy porch on the front of the house, with cafe table and wicker chairs for two, looks out onto beautiful front yard with rock outcroppings and trees. This beautiful area is fenced and also has a picnic table for an outside family meal.

2 separate yards both fenced. Large front yard with rock formations and trees. Side yard has a privacy fence, large deck, hot tub, hammock, table and umbrella, lounge chairs, cushioned bench and planted trees and bushes.

This house is large enough to provide spaces for everyone to gather or for guests to spread out and find a private spot to spend time alone.

About Scott and Diane Sutter

We were both born in Colorado. Scott was born in Loveland and moved to Estes Park when he was only 2 years old. Diane was born in Boulder and moved to Elgin, Illinois but moved back to Estes Park 31 years ago. We met in Estes Park almost 30 years ago and were married here in Estes Park at Diane's parents' house only about 1 mile south of our current home. We bought our home on December 23, 1987. We didn't tell the kids we were buying a house. Instead we had my parents watch them while we moved all of our furniture and things into the house and then picked them up. We took them to the house saying that we just wanted to look at the house and see if we wanted to buy it. Our daughter said, 'Hey, this is all of our stuff! What is it doing here?' Our home started out at only 1250 sq. ft. which was a little too cozy for a family of 5. We decided to build onto our house and did most of the work ourselves. The only things that we paid someone else to do was the excavation, foundation and some tile work around the kitchen counters. We added on the Master Bedroom, Living room and garage. We have spent the last almost 30 years raising kids and now enjoying our extended family in this home. We are blessed to have 2 grandsons who are 2 1/2 years and 10 months and another grandson due at the end of December. Our home has been blessed with much love and happiness and we hope that you enjoy your stay at our home!

We are located in Estes Park just minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park where there is great hiking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing, with more than 300 miles of trails. Check with rangers at the National Park Visitor Center for specific trail information. In the summer, it's a good idea to use the National Park shuttle, rather than parking at trailheads. Trail Ridge Road, over 12,000' at its highest point, offers a spectacular drive through the National Park. At 11,796', you can visit the Trail Ridge Store and Alpine Visitor Center. Depending on weather and conditions, Trail Ridge Road is open from around Memorial Day through Labor Day, unless weather permits a longer season. If you start early for your drive, you have a good chance of spotting wildlife. You can drive Trail Ridge Road to the small town of Grand Lake with its quaint board sidewalks, restaurants, and shops. Visit the historic Grand Lake Lodge for lunch and views from the deck. In the fall, bull Elk are bugling and defending their harems from rival bulls. The National Park is a good place to watch this annual ritual and listen to the bugling. You can also witness this in the town of Estes Park. Many have had Elk interfere with their golf games! For the sake of your safety and their need to remain wild, it is a good idea to enjoy Elk and all other wildlife from a distance.

Spend a day enjoying all of the shops and restaurants in Estes Park, or an evening meal out after a hike. There are many festivals and other events to enjoy in Estes Park throughout the year. You can also walk or bike around Lake Estes, or rent a boat and spend time on the lake. The views are beautiful! Estes Park Mountain shop rents bikes and also has an indoor climbing gym. This shop and other outfitters offer guided trips for climbing, hiking, snowshoeing, and fly fishing. Horseback riding is available at Jackson Stables at the YMCA of the Rockies.

After enjoying a day in the National Park or Estes Park, come home to enjoy another lovely place. The area around this home is perfect for a leisure walk and wildlife is all around. You can see Elk, Deer, Coyotes, Eagle, Hawks, Rabbits, Ground Squirrels, Chipmunks, and an occasional Badger. Sit back, relax, and enjoy all the comforts of home without worrying about sharing your space with anyone else!
