Lovely 4 bedroom villa surrounded by patios in peaceful luxury resort by the sea

This lovely secluded villa is a short 5 MINUTE WALK FROM THE BEACH, across the village's pleasant lawns - and there's actually an elevator in the cliff, if you don't feel like using the stairs! You will be able to choose one of the small sheltered beaches at the bottom of the cliff, with their caves and rock pools at low tide, or the big open beach of Lagos bay - 8km long, with the Ria de Alvor in the middle.
THE HOUSE, ENTIRELY RENOVATED IN 2007, is spacious and comfortable: a vast living-room, full of light, opening onto a big secluded patio, with trees, bougainvilleas and flowerbeds, and always partially shaded (ideal for a quiet meal, or for the children); 4 bedrooms (with good beds and generous wardrobes), 3 full bathrooms and 1 WC, all in traditional Portuguese Azulejos. One of the bedrooms is an independent room, with direct access from the patio and a full en-suite bathroom; it has a large (adult size) bunk bed, 2,00m x 0,9m. The villa has a large fully equipped kitchen. The decoration is in a modern, colorful yet simple style. There is also a traditional roof terrace ('Açoteia') from where you can peacefully enjoy the view and the sun, or dine al fresco. The patios are furnished with outdoor tables, chairs and sun-chairs.

Location. Location. Location. We were travelling with our adult children and preschool aged grandchildren and this was the perfect place for us! A spacious family home that was comfortable, fully equipped, and just a 5minute walk to the most spectacular beaches, where we spent hours digging in the sand and running into the waves & water (chilly!! Haha) Isabel was a tremendous host, helping us with everything we needed, including finding us sand toys for the children. Highly recommend.

Un bel endroit où séjourner

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans l'Algarve et au sein de la petite collectivité d'Alvor. L'endroit de la résidence offre la sécurité et il est parfait pour une famille avec des enfants. La maison est très belle et bien aménagée. Nous ne nous sommes pas sentis coincés.

Amazing!!!

Très belle prestation. Hébergement très propre, fonctionnel et proche de toutes commodités. Accès aux splendides plages à 5 minutes à pied. Piscine commune en bord de falaise avec décor tropical! Bienvenue à Acapulco 😊. Quant à notre hôte, Isabel, très agréable, à l’écoute et très réactive. Et enfin, elle pratique un français parfait. Il serait néanmoins plus confortable d’envoyer lors de la réservation du séjour, le plan du site avec chemin d’accès jusqu’à l’hébergement. Sinon vraiment pas évident de trouver son logement. Mais là encore, la réactivité d’Isabel nous a permis grâce un FaceTime un guidage jusqu’à la maison ou nous attendais notre contact sur place. Merci Isabel, pour ce magnifique séjour dans votre beau pays 🥰

La casa es grande y espaciosa. Estuvimos 9 personas muy cómodos. La urbanización muy chula y cómoda con bajada casi privada a una playa que tiene varias casas unidas y que acaba en una gran playa. Todo perfecto. La piscina con vistas inmejorables y una profundidad de 4 metros en algunas zonas para hacer saltos. Ubicación inmejorable. Por poner un pequeño pero, quizá podría haber estado algo más limpia pero repetiremos seguro. Las persona encargada de la casa muy maja. Gracias por esta semana que acabamos de pasar

Excelente casa e condomínio

Casa muito bem preparada, bem equipada, e com excelentes condições para uma família “numerosa”. Cozinha muito bem equipada. Sala espaçosa com tudo para se passar bons momentos descontração. Os únicos aspetos passíveis de “melhora” são a falta de Wi-Fi com capacidade (router?), serviço de tv mais completo e a/c (não tem). Pormenores pois a casa é muito boa e os proprietários de excelente trato e cuidado. Parabéns pela casa! Sofia e Miguel

I've stayed in Prainha a number of years and this property is amid our favorite. Plenty of space (inside and outside), well decorated, quiet location, ... Overall excellent for a holiday in family. Responsiveness and support was excellent. We expect to be back!

Beautiful Area and Overall Great Stay

Prainha Village is a beautiful place and I highly recommend visiting there during your stay in Algarve. Amazing views and beaches are a short walk through well kept grounds, there are places to hike along the rocks overlooking the ocean and a great family-friendly pool area surrounded by a huge grassy area for kids to play. We had a bit of a rough time checking in, not quite sure where we were meant to go when we got to the sprawling complex, but luckily made our way to the owner's office where we were able to get ahold of the person we were meeting to check in. The unit was clean and had all of the kitchen utensils and dishes you would need as well as ample seating areas for a large family throughout the home, which we loved. There is a pretty view from the roof-top deck and comfortable seating outside. Alternatively, we didn't have quite enough towels or toilet paper for a 5 day stay and it was difficult to get ahold of someone to ask for more, we ended up getting more on our own and doing a handful of washes, which for the price of the place, seems like it should be taken care of ahead of time.

We provide 2 towels per person, as advertised: 1 large, 1 small, plus an extra couple of towels. That is usually enough for a stay less than a week long. We do not provide beach towels (also as advertised) because when we did, we found the guests left them in such a bad condition that we couldn't use them again (full of stains that are impossible to remove). As for the toilet paper, we provide a reasonable amount, but for stays over 3 days long the guests are expected to buy some. We must add that the guests lost the house keys on departure day and we still haven't got them back.

Aged resort, aged apartment, beautiful location

We loved being in the Algarve and above the hill looking into Alvor and the ocean. The condo was spacious and cooled off well at night (with windows open and fans running). However, the condo is more dated than apparent in the photos. The bathrooms especially (including shower liners that were almost dark from age and prior mold) showed wear. The towels were threadbare. All of the beds are made as twins but pushed together to make king size in three rooms. The bunk room is separate from the main house, so if planning to use for kids, make sure you are okay with them being apart from you. There was only one garbage bag, no spare towels (like for beach use), and no spare rolls of toilet paper (common in VRBO in USA). That said, we loved to location and the ease of access. It was nice to have a small market nearby (in the complex). The beach was amazing and easily accessible. We never used the elevator (lift) was it took you to the restaurant and then you had to walk through the restaurant to access the beach. Instead we walked down the stairs or took the path. The small town of Alvor was a gem with small shops and great food options. It was easy to work with Isabel and Paula, but unlike many other VRBO options, little online information or assistance. We were happy with our stay but felt that the quality of the condo was not quite as luxurious as conveyed and needs some updating and attention to the small touches that make you feel at home during a VRBO stay.

Spacious comfortable holiday home

We stayed in Isabel's large (3 double bedroom + bunk room) 6 adults 2 tiny babies and a nearly 3 year old. It was spotlessly clean but nothing that made parents terrified of damage by a toddler. She could play with her balloon and run the length of the huge living room with no fear! There were "extras" a buggy, high chair, a few crayons etc. The roof terrace caught the early and late sun while the garden was shady. The two weeks we were there were a bit chilly at times, so we did not get the benefit of what I suspect is a nice cool house in summer. The electric heaters were, according to my husband, excellent quality and we were never cold. The playpark was a huge hit with trampoline, slide and climbing frame. We were often there before breakfast (ours) she had of course eaten! The pools were great, and not within the villa which was a bonus and the beach within walking distance albeit quite hard going with prams! I would recommend this house highly for families or couples, the only drawback is that it is quite a walk into town for an evening meal, however we cooked in, and found an excellent butcher in Alvor town, real meat not supermarket stuff, and the fish from the market was excellent. The kitchen is well equipped.

Excellent location and a lovely villa!

We stayed in Isabel's lovely villa for a week, with our grown-up children - 6 of us in total. The location is excellent; just a short walk to the beaches and a few excellent restaurants. We didn't use the swimming pools as the sea temperature was so perfect, but they are very close too. The villa is spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. The terrace is lovely and secluded with lots of plants and flowers, and the most beautiful bougainvillea gives colour and shade. It was a pleasure to deal with Isabel, who was most helpful, as was Paula who met us at the villa and made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend this villa for a relaxing family holiday.

Lovely family house in a great coastal complex

We enjoyed very much our stay in this house over the Easter period with two young children. It is possible to walk around the complex to reach lovely beaches, access the pool with an amazing view and acess a playground. There are lunch restaurants at teh pool or on the beach which are convenient for quick simple lunches. Isabel was really kind and accomodating and provided two travel cots as well as two children high-chairs. The house is clean and well maintained. There is one big master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, two other double rooms (all with twins beds) and the fourth bedroom is located outside the house with its own shower room. Everything is convenient and pleasant for children as the main living is spacious and everything is on the same floor The only downside is there is no wifi connexion but you can access it through the reception hotel or restaurants nearby. It is an enjoyable experience which we can recommend for families with young children.

Magnifiques vacances en Algarve

Nous avons passé de superbes vacances en Algarve dans cette maison tout confort ,spacieuse, au calme et toute proche de la plage .Les extérieurs sont très bien entretenus. La maison était conforme au descriptif de l annonce, tout y était pour passer un agréable séjour. Maison entièrement clôturée donc parfait pour les enfants. Très belle piscine au dessus des falaises. La propriétaire Isabelle a toujours été très disponible (que ce soit avant notre séjour pour répondre à toutes nos questions ,comme pendant ) Cette maison est très bien située près d'une superbe plage :Tres Irmaos. Nous avons mangé tous les midis sur la plage dans l'excellent restaurant troglodyte le Caniço (snack mais aussi une très belle carte: poissons, crustacés et une divine sangria rosé !!!) Toutes les commodités très proches de Prainha pour faire ses courses. Les vendeurs au bord des routes vendent des fruits et des légumes qui ont du gout!!! Le temps a été splendide pendant 15 jours. Les environs sont également à découvrir: la côte ouest et ses belles plages ;le village de pécheurs de Ferragudo;le marché d'Alvor ;et pour les enfants le grand et très agréable parc aquatique Slide and Splash . Enchantés par notre séjour, nous reviendrons.

très agréable séjour

maison agréable, spacieuse, propre, dans un village de vacances situé à proximité d'une belle plage sauvage. Il y a un supermarché au sein du village, un restaurant "miss pasta" où l'on mange très bien; et l'on y reçoit un accueil chaleureux. Je tiens à signaler que la propriétaire de la maison s'est toujours montrée disponible pour chaque question que nous lui avons posée et qu'elle a toujours répondu avec beaucoup de gentillesse.

Algarve von der besten Seite

Wir waren wohl die ersten Urlauber in 2015, das Haus wurde vorher von unseren Betreuern angeheizt. da es aber keine richtige Zentralheizung hat, konnten wir nur die Schlafzimmer ordentlich warm bekommen. Wir hatte aber Glück, das Wetter war sommerlich und unser Leben fand im ganzen Urlaub ab morgens (Frühstück) bis zum späten Nachmittag (Sundowner auf der Dachterasse) nur draußen statt. Das Haus ist komfortabel eingerichtet und liegt gut zum Strand. Der Weg zum Strand zum Erholen oder Joggen ist kurz. Von hier aus konnten wir unserer Wanderungen in die Berge oder an den Steilküsten gut starten. Ein Fuß- oder Fahrradweg nach Alvor längs des Strandes wäre schön, dann kann man das Auto fast stehen lassen. Man sollte für das Haus ein Handbuch erstellen, in dem Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (zB Pingo Doce), gute Restaurants (Fisch in Alvor ist köstlich), attraktive Reiseziele (bis 1h Fahrzeit) und alle wichtigen Telefonnummern angegeben sind. Ein Internet-Anschluß hat gefehlt, obwohl er in der Beschreibung enthalten war! Wir haben von unserer Betreuerin diese Daten beim Empfang direkt abgefragt und sie hat es uns alles direkt auf einen Zettel geschrieben. Die Betreuung war unkompliziert und freundlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Das Haus kann man Gruppen bis 6 Personen (4+2) gut weiterempfehlen. Wir hatten eine relativ ruhige Zeit vorgefunden, man sollte vielleicht in den Häusern und Wohnungen auf englisch einen Hinweis aushängen, dass man ab ca. 23 Uhr Ruhe erwartet. 4 Sterne Bewertung für die Einrichtung, Lage, Ausstattung und Betreuung. Mit Internet und guter Zentralheizung wäre es ein Punkt mehr geworden.
