About Elizabeth Albertson
Tusen Takk is a Norwegian word meaning a 1000 thanks. After my dad died, I wanted to create a place that both honored our Norwegian heritage and would be a place to create more family memories.
Elizabeth Albertson purchased this House in 2009
Why Elizabeth Albertson chose Potosi
Tusen Takk is a great home base for many day trips and adventures. The Mississippi and Grant Rivers offer opportunities such as canoeing, boating, and fishing. Galena, Prarie Du Chein, Dubuque, and Madison are all great day trip destinations. Within 10 minutes you will find one of the oldest breweries in Wisconsin. Locally owned and housing the National Brewery Museum the Potosi Brewery provides a great place for food and drinks! Then wander on to the Great River Road Museum of Contemporary Art, Whispering Bluffs Winery, or to the local bakery. Potosi is in Grant County Wisconsin only 20 miles from Dubuque.
What makes this House unique
Nestled in the hills of the Grant River Valley, this eco-friendly cabin is a destination upon itself. It is a comfortable place to relax, enjoy good company, start a campfire, do some stargazing, hike the trails, and just get away. Come alone to recharge and refresh yourself, bring your family or friends to enjoy some time together, or snuggle up with your significant other. It is cozy enough for one but spacious enough for a gathering of family or friends.
