Very nice house and village!
We had a very nice stay in this house! The house is quite rustic but very comfortable with a most charming garden. Very nice kitchen with room for dinners with friends. Excellent pool for the kids! It is not far to the beach, 15 minute drive. The top floor was quite warm during the hot days in mid-July but by using the window shutters the lower floors of the house could be kept cool. We had a very memorable night watching the local bullfighting on the village arena, next to the church. Thank You, Sophie!

About the host
Hosted by Sophie Blum
Originally from Paris, I fell in love with this region, its landscapes, and its atmosphere. I have renovated this construction to make it a family and cheerful holiday home.
Why they chose this property
In the heart of the Camargue and the village centre, this house is part of a castle's dependency. Renovated in 2007, this house has conserved its style. The 17th century facade is included among then historical monuments. A huge linden tree will allow you to rest and dine under the shade, in the south-facing garden. You can also enjoy the pool or rest in the hammock. Saint-Laurent-d'Aigouze is a small village soaked with bullfighting culture. In the bull ring, located in the village square, many bullfights are organised. Early in the morning, in the village pastures, you can discover the bulls selected for the bullfights, their arrival to the bull ring, and after the event, their return to the pastures. On site, you cannot forget about the restaurants-cafes to complete the bullfighting celebration. Those who love nature can discover the region on foot or by horse. Vidourle, a small across the village, offers the possibility of canoeing and fishing. Furthermore, this region offer many cultural activities. Visit the Musée de la Camargue to discover the history of this region, the ramparts of Aigues-Mortes, photographic exhibitions in Arles, and the Contemporary Arts Centre in Le Cailar, with regular exhibitions of great artists of the region. For those who love wines, many properties open their doors to discover the Languedoc wines.
What makes this property unique
This house is located in the village centre, but it is secluded and peaceful. It is a house where you will feel good!
