Beautiful property!

Unplugged and enjoyed our quiet New Years with family and friends. Hiked around the property, watched the river freeze and the snow fall, went into town for friendly dinners and shopping and hot springs soaks! What could be better?

Beautiful setting

  • 4 of 5

We spent Christmas week at the lovely Musical waters cabin. It is well stocked and comfortable inside. Melanie was very proactive and easy to contact with questions. Loved our stay and would love to stay again. My only negative comment is that the beds are very hard, made a good night's sleep very difficult. Overall a wonderful stay though!

Thanksgiving and anniversary in the woods...

  • 5 of 5

Musical Waters was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. We loved sitting by the fire pit watching our son fly fish and listening to the serene sound of the flowing waters. The cottage offered all the comforts of home. Melanie has thought of everything to make your stay memorable.

Wonderful cottage on the river. Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful experience. Perfect for getting off the grid with no internet, noise, crowds, etc. Totally relaxing and living in nature. Our Golden Lab especially loved swimming in the river and exploring the natural setting. Campfire at night topped off the day. Be sure to get your groceries in Marshall and prepare your meals at the house. The hot springs soaking tub was also a great experience. We will definitely be back again and again to get out of the city stress and stimulation.

A Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

My family and I sought respite from Hurricane Irma. We have two small dogs and wanted accommodations that allowed for this. We booked this cabin and all of us enjoyed this place so much. It is extremely well-appointed (although, the couches, though handsome, are not be the most comfortable, but, it is a cabin). Most importantly, it's wonderfully situated. It's hard to describe how a cabin can give the sense of being so remote; yet, close enough to amenities. A few suggestions, bring your own water (unless you enjoy the taste of well-water), visit Mountain Bluff Outfitters and there's a nice coffee house about 5 miles westward of town. Also, drive the 40 minutes to hike Max Patch for the view (back track after, don't try to be clever, and take the road forward and around {trust me}) and visit Lover's Leap (about 10 minutes from the cabin) for a little bit of a hiking challenge to see another spectacular view. We try to use VRBO as often as we can (Maui, Austin, Asheville, etc...) as opposed to hotels. This place was the best we've stayed in. Do yourself a favor, and don't wonder about this booking this place; if it's available, just book it.
