A wonderful return to Musical Waters

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this cabin last year during the Wild Goose Festival in Hot Springs and loved it so much that we booked it again - and already have our dates in place for next year. It's a perfect location, the accommodation has pretty much everything you would require, and the setting with the stream makes it a real retreat experience. The beds are comfortable, but do bring an eye mask if you want to sleep in, as the sunlight comes through the tops of the windows in the morning. The kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans (but missing a cheese grater and a kettle!), and has some very basic supplies (cooking spray, salt and pepper, some oatmeal) but you will need to bring in everything else if you plan to cook there. Melanie is great to work with, very smooth communication, and we are looking forward to our return in 2018.

Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This cabin and property are the perfect private getaway. We loved being beside the creek and so close to the town. We hope to return for another visit in the fall.

Recharge and rejuvenate

  • 5 of 5

Great clean house with everything you will need to spend your vacation .Its not for those who can't survive without Facebook, house has no Wi-Fi or internate connections but you can get text messages or phone calls. You will get non stop sound of creek and bonfire relaxation. We had wild visitors on the property- deer :)

House is secluded but in 5 min from very small town Hot Springs. WalMart in 30 min and between has more grocery stores and restaurants. What I will change in that house? NOTHING! Prefect as is. Owners make our vacation is very easy and worries free.

Have I mention that is PerFriendly? I wish I can post all video I got of good time of our boxer.

Owner's Response: It was great to host your visit to Musical Waters. Thank you for sharing your experience, we find most folks visit our area for the exact reasons you did, recharge and rejuvenate! How wonderful is it to constantly hear the water? Just what we all need. Secluded location, yet 5 minutes from town, open decks, screened in dining porch, outdoor waterfront fire-pit. Plenty of fishing. Return soon!

Beautiful location

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I spent a week and enjoyed the whole experience. We were especially pleased that we were allowed to bring our cat Abigail. We had plenty of room and with such a centralized location we were able to visit Ashville and all the small towns in between. Less than a mile from town but with all the privacy of being out in the middle of nowhere by ourselves

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed the Musical Waters Cottage with Spring Creek singing to you in a very private setting. Other guests have also loved how secluded this property is yet only less than one mile from town, restaurants and all Hot Springs attractions. Two large open decks, large screened in porch and lounge chairs by the firepit next to the water...just where do you got to relax first? Thanks for enjoying and respecting our property, return soon!

Break from Reality

  • 5 of 5

I can't even begin to say how magnificent this rental is and will be for whoever gets to visit this gem!! From the seclusion to the flowing peaceful creek it was splendid!! The night fires in the firepit and gorgeous sunlight nooks make this place a little slice of heaven. I almost don't even want to give such a glowing review to keep this spectacular place all to myself! The owners were informative and at a moments need even though not needed for my glorious weekend of serenity! I can't wait to go back when it's warmer to enjoy this cottage and the quaint town of Hot Springs.

Owner's Response: You asked for private and secluded, Musical Waters fits the bill, yet less than one mile to town and all Hot Springs attractions. Go soak in the mineral baths at Hot Springs Spa, dinner out and return to enjoy a creek side fire in the fire pit. Thanks for sharing your wonderful experience and return often!

Very nice setting for a relaxing escape.

  • 5 of 5

If you want to get off the grid, this is your place. Very peaceful setting with the stream sounds as your background noise. Fishing was a bit rough because there is an extreme drought right now, but the location is perfect. You can fish the backyard or drive to town to get to the French Broad River. I finally found the trout in the Big Laurel which is delayed harvest. They stocked it while I was there, so I didn't get skunked. The town of Hot Springs is worth the visit. A couple of pubs and a great family style restaurant. Don't wast time cooking, just eat there every meal.

The cabin is very nice and the fire pit was awesome for evening relaxation. Normally, I would have loved not having internet or dependable phone service, but I am a risk manager from Florida, and we were having hurricane Mathew back home, so I had to find ways to communicate. Overall, a great place to escape. Highly recommend for anyone just wanting to get away and relax.

Owner's Response: Gone fishing!! Magic words for that fishing, private getaway; Musical Waters is just the place. Private and right on Springs Creek, close to other fishing hot spots. Well equipped property with decks, covered porches and creek side fire pit. Direct TV and gas indoor fire but alas, no wi-fi service. A wi-fi hot spot does work here. Verizion always works but ATT never works as of this writing. Maybe in the near future?
