Cozy Getaway in Perfect Location Close to Hiking Trails
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin, very comfortable and cozy! The owner really goes out of her way to provide little extras to make your stay more comfortable. It is super clean and kept very nice! It could use just a tad of maintenance to fix a few things but none of it was a bother to us in the least. Our golden retriever loved the open space to run around and play and the water was flowing in the creek creating wonderful sounds of rushing water! The location was also excellent it was close to Max Patch hiking trail and the Lovers Leap trail and many others which was the reason for our visit! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only due to small maintenance items, water dispenser and ice maker didn't work, lights in closet wouldn't come on, also would have been nice to have some games as we had one rainy day. But there were LOTS of books which was fun to peruse through! Owner is very nice and gracious and wants to make sure you enjoy your stay!
What a fantastic vacation
My husband and I along with our 2 fur babies spent 5 perfect nights at Magical Waters for our anniversary and loved every minute. We loved the open feeling of the home. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the decorations give it a homey feel. We also appreciated the little extras like the books and binoculars (which we had forgotten). Most of our time was spent on the porches, both the screened in and the open ones or down by the creek. The dogs enjoyed roaming by the creek. We barely left the property during our stay. The sound of the water is exactly as described - magical. We look forward to returning in the future.

Very nice location, wonderful town
Its a very interesting house, large and accommodating, alot of wood, floors, walls ceiling..beadboard. terrific stream running thru the backyard, large comfortable beds, two exterior porches and one screened in, The kitchen is lacking many items, not enough supplies to cook with, broken icemaker, and ants everywhere. The one bathroom is decent, but shower is awful, Owner needs to tighten up a few things, spend some time fixing leaking screen porch and less writing notes about everything. I stay in 5/6 vrob's a year, this one had alot of positive attributes, but alot of things that could be remedied by upgrading existing, spend some money, it feels bargain basement. Thank You
Beautiful, Relaxing experience!
When we booked this cabin we could see by the pictures that it was in an awesome setting, those pictures did not do this wonderful place any justice. When we arrived everything we could possibly ask was laid out on notes throughout the cabin. It is truly a magical place, where the sound of the water rushing by never stops. Our shetlands felt immediately at home, so much better than trying to make them comfortable in a hotel room. I didn’t get a chance to fish but just walking down the shoreline you could see them in the water. The town of Hot Springs is literally 3 minutes away and has most everything you could think you would need. I can’t wait to come back and stay again!!
The Cascade Cottage was nice.
The cottage was nice but the stream behind it wasn't fishable. It had lot's of little extras that were nice, like sofa beds, hot tub, and charcoal grill. We had fun and a relaxing time in the cabin. looking forward to returning someday again.
Another fabulous visit!
Once again a wonderful stay. The rain put a little damper on enjoying the creek and outdoors but there is so much to enjoy in the surrounding areas we rafted, went the biltmore house Asheville and TN. Thank you Melanie for being proactive and communicating so well, we will be back!
As you walk about town you are hiking the Appalachain Trail where the French Broad River meets the trail. Hot Springs was listed as 'Best small mountain town in the South' by Blue Ridge magazine. Many hiking trails, natural mineral baths, downhome restaurants, local music and arts, seasonal festivals and friendly folks.
