About Luke Hofacker

Growing up in Canada, my family visited Hawaii every winter. My husband and I are fortunate to now live on the island of Oahu. Kauai is just a short trip for us and is our favorite of the Hawaiian islands to visit. We love the slower pace and opportunity to vacation close to home. We enjoy relaxing at the beach as well as hiking, scuba diving, snorkeling and surfing. No wonder we love Kauai as it is a perfect island for outdoor activities and water sports.

Wailua Bay View is close to shops and restaurants, yet quiet and peaceful. We really enjoy the walking distance to the protected beach cove for little ones and nearby Lydgate Park.

The place was in a perfect spot for convenience to food, shops, and exploring the rest of the island. The washer and dryer was very convenient. I loved having seating on the patio and in the kitchen. The decor was lovely and everything was very comfortable. The traffic in the area is one negative thing about the condo, but its unavoidable on most parts of the island.

Gorgeous view and great location

My husband and I stayed at Luke's condo in early February. The condo was lovely, clean, and comfortable. The beautiful view of Lydgate Beach from the lanai is exactly what you see in the photo. On two mornings, with Luke's binoculars, we spotted the tail and splashes of a whale in the distance. The location was perfect, between the Wailua River and the town of Kapaa. We were able to walk to Coconut Marketplace for shopping and entertainment and to three resorts with their restaurants and live music. Delectable macadamia nut sticky buns were available from two bakeries right across the street. Luke was always immediately accessible to answer our questions. Bed was very comfy. We had a lovely stay.

Amazing, wonderful Kauai location

We visited Kauai about 15 years ago, and returning we didn't look anywhere other than Wailua Bay View. We can't imagine a better spot on the island to stay. Views from the lanai are marvelous -- surfers during the day, stars at night. And a very central location on the east side. Unit 109 is gorgeous -- everything just right from the comfy bed to the well-equipped kitchen to the nice touch of beach bag, cooler, beach mats, boogie boards and snorkel equipment. Despite the first floor location, the unit is up above the beach on a ledge. A few steps get you down to the beach for walking. You'll love this place!

Fabulous views and central location!

My wife and I spent a week here in January. The condo was perfect for a couple. We especially enjoyed being so close to the ocean, and spent time on the deck every morning and evening. Great central location to explore the whole island, and we could walk to a nearby bakery (Haole Girl - amazing croissants), a grocery market and a couple of restaurants (highly recommend Lava Lava Beach club for cocktails and/or dinner on the beach).

We left some clothes in one of the dressers, and the owner notified us immediately after checkout and mailed the clothes to us the same day. Thanks Luke!

Better than advertised, can’t beat view, clean, quiet, good central location.

Can’t say enough good things about this condo. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. Immediately greeted by the unobstructed ocean front view when you enter. The patio is very private, no walk out access but that means no one was constantly walking in front of our place. Extremely quiet, never heard others conversations or saw anyone else when on the patio, all you see are whales off the coast and hear ocean waves. Furnishings are very nice and comfortable. Bathroom is big, with nice furnishings/shower. Bedroom AC is great, cools room quickly and drowns out any noise as the bedroom is in the front of condo by walkways. But I’m a very light sleeper and never heard a sound. Beach chairs, coolers, towels, snorkel stuff and boogie boards all waiting for your use. Condo is within walking distance to several small beaches, one of which has a beach front bar, Lava Bar! Handful of restaurants, bakery, gas station all within few minutes walk. Grocery stores, shops and kayak/sup rentals within a short 1–3 mile drive. About halfway drive from north shore towns verse beaches to the south or Waimea Canyon on the west. Book this condo and enjoy Kaua’i!
