Our quaint oceanfront home in Las Gaviotas offers our guests the comfort of a home-away-from home. Located on the shore of Las Gaviotas, you can walk down to the private beach! Enjoy the infinity edge spa or a great meal on the patio at sunset. Community amenities include tennis court, pool & spa, shuffleboard and 24-hour security. The surf is great here too and it's just a short drive to Puerto Nuevo for dinner!
Absolutely love this location. Our family has been going to Las Gaviotas for over 20 years! We are very fortunate to have found an oceanfront unit to purchase. We have recently remodeled it and have a second home-away-from home at Las Gaviotas as well.
Amelia Ortiz purchased this house in 2013
The location on the shore can't be beat and the interior gives a feeling of peace and calm much like you get from the ocean.
Master suite with queen bed
Second bedroom with queen bed and bathroom off hall.
Infinity edge spa
My wife and I (and kids) had not been south of the border for over 10 years. What an amazing experience. The place is clean, modern and could not be better located. Amelia was far beyond expectations in terms of customer service. 4 simple words.... We Will Be Back!
This is a sexy house. Upgraded amenities and infinity jacuzzi. The house is clean and well maintained. The only thing missing was a nice bbq grill. It is a prime location right in front of the beach and surf break. Everything was seamless and easy; from the reservation, communication, to check-in. This is definitely one of my favorite places in Las Gaviotas.
Fresh, clean, updated, and just as depicted in the pictures.
My family has been coming to Las Gaviotas for a few years with 4 other families from our SF Bay area community during our kid's Spring Break. This year we stayed in Villa Las Olas and honestly feel we need look no further for our future rentals. Well appointed, clean as our own home, and perfectly situated in the best location in Las Gaviotas, this home was absolutely fantastic for us. The linens were nice, beds soft and comfy, and the kitchen had everything we needed.
As another reviewer mentioned, the hot tub wasn't warm upon arrival and took some tinkering to figure out, but wasn't difficult to do so. We also had a couple of ants on the patio; it's the outside world, feels like it's gonna happen.
All communication with Amelia (property manager) was very professional, clear and concise. Never once had any trouble with communication. Thank you Amelia!
We also have a VRBO rental so are pretty sensitive to homes we rent rent; this home did not disappoint. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you!
Las Gaviotas is a favorite getaway spot for us (which is why we chose to get married here!), and we have stayed in many houses in the community over the years. Villa Las Olas was perfect for our wedding weekend stay -- it has the best location close to the beach path and we were able to get friends and family to stay close by. The house is updated and beautiful. The rooms and beds are so comfy! The only thing missing was a real coffee maker (only had a keurig machine). We wanted a little luxury house to unwind after all the busy events, and we felt extra special here. We LOVED having a gorgeous spa on our patio as well -- icing on the cake! Would definitely stay here again!
This was our first rental in Las Gaviotas and we thought we had lucked out getting this place with a hot tub.
Booked in April. Along comes Aug, we found it odd that we hadn’t heard anything from the owner/prop mgmt company about access. We waited until closer to the trip assuming it would come. Aug 30 we sent a message via VRBO with no response. 9/2 tried again, no response. On 9/4(checkin day), I decide to call. I left a vm on the cell that they provided us (9:29 AM) telling them we still didn’t have access codes nor any instructions. I called the office next and left a vm. a few minutes later I get an impersonal and random text with a house code and wifi code and and that is it. The last communications we had with the mgmt were at 9:51 AM 9/2.
Arrived, unpacked and checked out the view. Hot tub was not heated so we turned the heat switch on inside once we found it. That night hot tub still isn’t working so we skip it. Ice cold next morning. So we figure it still needed time to heat up. On Sunday morning we decide in spite of the fact that the hot tub doesn’t work we want to stay another night, because the view is awesome and we were relaxed. vrbo.com calendar shows house free on Monday night.
Sunday morning I make an international call to try and reach someone, again met with voicemails on both lines, again I stated that the hot tub doesn’t work and we want to stay another night.
Again we wake up Monday morning and hot tub still cold and no response from anyone. I call again, and send multiple messages via vrbo. To the owner: you just lost an additional $250
Since noone seems to pick up at any of your listed numbers nor do they return phone calls, this seems to be the only way to let you know of our experience. We are not picky people- we just hoped that for the rate we paid that we would get SOMEONE to assist us. So, in addition to the major issues, here is a list of things your house needs work on: ANTS! Lots of them. We have a full trail on the kitchen sink when we arrived on Friday. We killed them. A new trail arrived by Sunday. They are also all over the patio area, Foreign object in kitchen sink- loud noise when running disposal, Dangerously dull knives, No "guide" in the house, zero customer service
