Red Butte Ranch is COMPLETELY BOOKED for the Solar Eclipse in 2017. It pains me to send away reservations, as I'd love to have you all, but unfortunately, I have no further accommodations available for this event. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Recently purchased, Red Butte Ranch Lodge is a work in progress. The owner is constantly working to fine tune the lodge to any clients' desires, and will work with most reasonable requests. There are lots of plans for renovation in the works, including the upstairs bathrooms, as well as turning the downstairs bar into a fully functioning kitchen, plus more! Thank you for supporting Red Butte Ranch through this process.
The fully furnished Red Butte Ranch Vacational Rental offers all the comforts of home, and is the perfect place to enjoy your time away with everything you need, YEAR ROUND! The 5 BR 3 Bath riverfront lodge sleeps up to 12.
Red Butte Ranch is located right outside of Casper, and offers a close proximity to museums, skiing, fine dining, and shopping. One of the major draws of Red Butte Ranch is the tranquility of private access to the North Platte River, where you can enjoy fly fishing under the shade of Cottonwoods and Willows, and trophy Brown and Rainbow Trout abound! Wyoming made fly fishing products, as well as drift boat rentals are available onsite. Interested in a guided trip? We can hook you up!
On the upper level of the lodge, you will find a kitchen fully equipped with all the modern amenities your heart desires - island countertop electric 5-burner stove, cabinet mounted oven and microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, and plenty of dishes and cutlery. A counter height table seats four in the kitchen, and the connected dining area seats an additional six.
An entryway opens into the large sitting-room, which offers a picturesque view of Cole Mountain through the large window that gives the room an open feel. The first and second bedrooms house queen sized beds, and share a full size bathroom with his-and-hers sinks. The master suite has a luxurious king sized bed and two large closets. A large dresser adds additional space for you to unpack and make yourself truly at home. A 42' television is also available, to wind down after a long day of adventures. An en-suite
bathroom gives you the privacy you need.
The large wrap-around deck allows you to enjoy the magnificent view of Bessemer Mountain and the North Platte River from the 'best seat in the house.' The porch swing situated right outside the sliding glass doors of both the kitchen and the master suite is a perfect place to unwind after a long day of fly fishing. Two umbrella-patio tables can seat up to 8. A large barbeque grill is also available for your use.
On the lower level, there are two more bedrooms - the first has a queen sized bed, and the second has two double beds. Down the hall is a newly remodeled bathroom that the two rooms share. A large, rustic bar offers comfortable seating to watch a movie on the television, and a fantastic view of the North Platte River out the sliding glass door.
An additional renovation is soon to be completed, housing a ping pong table and dart board for your use, as well as a wader-room, so you can shuck off the waders and unwind before entering your beautiful home away from home.
Free wifi is offered throughout the lodge, as well as satellite television in the master suite, sitting room, and bar.
Shuttle services are available upon request to most local areas.

The Shangri-La of the West
Shangri-La: a mystical, harmonious valley, synonymous with earthly paradise or utopia - a permanently happy land isolated from the outside world.
My buddies and I booked for 4 nights for a fishing trip. Place was much more than we expected. Had all the comforts of home. Great deck with views and well furnished kitchen, We cooked in every night. Owner was great and easy to work with. Plan on going again in 2017!!
We had group of six for some fishing. This was my second stay here and my wife took a group of her girfreinds here for a knitting trip. The owner makes it easy to reserve and the price is right. This is a large house with a gorgeous view overlooking the river. There is a wrap around deck for a great bar-b-que party.
A large living room with plenty of sitting area to watch the large screen TV. Close to some good restaurants in town or we cooked at the house. I would definately return.
There were six of us who stayed at the lodge during our hunting trip. The view was wonderful. It overlooks the river, which a few guys were able to successfully do some fly fishing. We were only a few miles from town, so when we needed anything, it wasn't too far to go. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious, and we never once felt like we were cramped. Early in the morning we were able to watch some mule deer walk across the back yard, and get water from the river, and then a bald eagle was spotted right before we left.
Ms. Ruth was extremely welcoming to us. She allowed us to drop off our luggage in the basement, so that we could get out and hunt for a few hours while it was being cleaned from the previous guests. We have already been discussing next year's trip, and we look forward to coming back to Red Butte Ranch.
Our family gathered here for a birthday/early thanksgiving celebration. 9 adults and 7 children. The house was large enough to accommodate us and the setting was beautiful. The children enjoyed the trampoline, along with the large yard and river access. We had thought we would go into town for an outing with the kids, but they enjoyed the wide open spaces and the adults had visit time on the patio so we stayed put. Great trip!
There were 8 of us most of the week and 10 a couple of nights. There was plenty of room for all of us without any problems. Our main issue was no phone service and we were not expecting that. We were there for our daughters wedding and we all have ATT service and didn't have any phone service so we could get ahold of each other. There isn't a land line either in case of emergency. There is WIFI so you can get on the internet but it was still hard not being able to call or text. I was also needing to make the cupcakes and cake for the wedding and there isn't a mixer. There isn't a blender or iron either in case you'll be needing them. There was an ironing board but we had to buy an iron. Other than these isssues we enjoyed our stay in the house.
Previous description is spot on. Only issue was light bulbs being burnt out in the living room and kitchen.. Had a blast playing ping pong...options were numerous at this great location
