This house has a fantastic layout and we enjoyed it all. Pool, spa & rec room were used every day.
This was our first trip to Palm Springs area for our group of close friends. We enjoyed Dean Schuman's house a lot. The south facing pool and spa was a hit every day. Enjoyed playing pool again while winding down for the evening. The large kitchen and dining area was something we never thought we would use every day. The outdoor kitchen is great. We can't wait to return again. Highly recommend Dean's house for family or friends.
Paradise in the Desert!
What a great and beautiful home! Totally dialed in with anything you could need from awesome kitchen and outdoor kitchen to surround sound in every room, bathroom and outdoors. No expense was spared. The pool is awesome and where we spent 90% of our time. Very private and perfect for relaxation at its finest. Dean is so very accommodating and helpful. Met us at the house when we arrived and showed us everything we could need and was just a call or text away if we needed him ( which we didn’t but felt assured that had we needed anything we would have been taken care of)
This is a definite return vacation spot for our family!

Amazing property, outdoor pool and kitchen!
The house was very clean and well equipped with everything our family needed for a 10 day stay. The pool is amazing! We will be returning to this spot again for sure.

the house was very beautiful, if felt really homie for us. loved the backyard, the BBQ area was very awesome. the house has so many great features from the whole house has speakers in each room, that can be controlled easily, the mist set up on the outside, the pool table. custom bar, and the kitchen was so easily to get around. the owner Dean was an amazing person too. the house was amazing and can't wait to come back with the family again.
Coachella Music Festival House: MUST READ BEFORE RENTING
I rented the house in Palm Desert from Dean and Dana for the 2018 Coachella Music Festival for 4 days. The place is large (3500 sqft) and very nice. The VRBO Hosts (Dean & Dana) were extremely aggressive “Helicopter Hosts” as they showed up unannounced multiple times during our stay to check on the place, look at us through the front windows, and just walked right in unannounced (early in the morning when people were still sleeping).
The first morning after checking-in was rocky as I was woken up at 7am by multiple calls and text from the Dean and Dana saying they believed we had too many people (14 people) staying in the house. They were extremely paranoid that we might have caused damaged to their place overnight (we didn’t). Dean and Dana claimed that their prior guests who stayed during last year’s Coachella (2017) caused $13K worth of damages from 20+ people staying in their place so they were worried we might do the same. They entered the place, looked around, and stated that they saw “NO DAMAGES” and the place was “VERY CLEAN”; however Dana proceed to scream and scolded us for an hour (like we’re her children) as she was worried about potential damages that could occur from the amount of people we had overnight (14 people). We stayed calm, were extremely respectful, and reminded them that we are not like the prior guests (during the 2017 Coachella) as we are all very responsible working professionals in our late-20s to mid-30s and were there to have a good time, but DID NOT destroy their place. After Dana cooled down and stopped yelling, Dean and Dana decided that they were going to allow us to remain at the property (since there were NO DAMAGES) if we paid an additional non-refundable one thousand dollars in cash (outside of the VRBO app) even though nothing was wrong with the place. We knew how difficult it would be to find a place last minute and we were not in a financial position to forfeit the thousands of dollars we already gave Dean and Dana for the rental so we chose to pay up; however, we made them sign a legal contract so they would not bother us anymore and release us from any further claims.
LUCKILY we were able to rectify the issue and we were not displaced from our Coachella House and in the end there were NO DAMAGES to their precious property. It is so sad to see this abuse of power and extortion for additional non-refundable money, which was charged outside of the VRBO app so no tax or service fee was paid to VRBO.

We have been members of VRBO since 2014 and for the most part enjoy this platform and the quality guests it acquires. We have never had a negative review and believe our guests have thoroughly enjoyed our home, location and the quality vacation experience that it provides. We experience a 92% return rate of our guests - so we believe that speaks for itself. In April here in the valley we experience a "festival month" with Coachella and Stagecoach. The demographic of our guests change dramatically. It is not inexpensive to rent our home, it is a custom built quality home in a fantastic location. However if you put 16 festival goers in it, it becomes affordable to anyone! That is why we have a contract that clearly states and I quote "OCCUPANCY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM OF 6 PERSONS. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT IF THESE RULES ARE NOT FOLLOWED, THAT WE CAN EVICT IMMEDIATELY WITH FORFEITURE OF ALL MONIES." When Joe and his partner checked in we provided them a second copy of the agreement and clearly said to them, please do not violate our rules, occupancy is limited to 6 as we stated in the contract. Joe is as he says a 30 year old investment banker and his partner is a Lawyer. They both looked at us and basically lied to us as we found out later in speaking to them that their intention was to have 16 guests. We received a call later that night from our neighbors who stated there were 8 cars parked in front of our house! Yes we investigated, but no we never showed up unannounced! We also reserve the right to inspect the property anytime we chose. We did speak with them and did allow them to stay even though they were in violation as we knew they would never find housing. Hindsight is we should have parted company with them. We did take an additional non-refundable deposit of $1000 as that would be the fine with the city, had any problems occurred! Let this be a lesson to the Members on VRBO, a Million Dollar home is not the kind of home that should be rented on these festival weekends. We have decided we will no longer rent in the month of April to festival goers.
My last questions to you Joe...... can you and your partner (the lawyer) read a contract? Your review is nothing less then a privileged person who thinks they don't have to follow rules!

When you book you will need to secure your confirmation with 1/2 of the total price down and the remainder of the balance to be paid 30 days before you arrive. Cancellation Policy: 31 days prior to check-in date: Refund 50% of booking deposit. 30 days or less booking deposits are forfeited.
