EAST WIND is lovely SOUND FRONT home in the mecca for windsurfing on HI

Located in the prestigious wind surfing mecca in north Avon, East Wind is a large 5 bedroom house on the sound! We also have a large dock which is great for sunbathing. We recently made the dock more water accessible by lowering the height of the pilings.
We have access to the community pool which just steps away. There is also a launch area for smaller power boats in the common area.
What a pleasure to bring multiple guests to EASTWIND! This house has a large open floor plan on the top level boasting a well equipped kitchen with an island, a spacious dining area, and a beautiful living room with fantastic views of the sound. Please note the fireplace is not a working fireplace. It is for decoration only. There is room to spread out as there are 3 common living areas...one on each floor. There is also a small loft area where you can get an even better view of the water. Multiple decks afford opportunities to enjoy spectacular sunsets and daily viewing of water birds and water sports enthusiasts. The top floor also has a master suite with an on-suite bathroom. In fact, all the 5 bedrooms have their own bathroomsand TVS.
PLEASE NOTE: You must bring linens for a king, 3 queen, and 3 twin, plus a queen size hide a bed couch.
We also do not provide towels. Bring both bath and beach towels.
Moneys$Worth Beach Equipment and Linen Rental (252 261 6999) can provide linens and towels. THEY DO DELIVER TO AVON.
There are 3 bedrooms with baths on on the 2nd level also. The first level has a large bedroom with 3 twin beds... certainly great for kids! The house has multiple decks ...the second level has a hot tub where one can enjoy the terrific views while soaking. The bottom level has a game room with a regulation pool table, TV, and refrigerator. Surrounded by beautiful wetlands and wildlife, you are set to enjoy a dream vacation on this soundfront property. The OCEAN BEACH is also within walking distance (approximately 10 to15 minutes) if you want to surf the waves! Avon is also super convenient as it has terrific shopping, the Avon Pier, a wide range of wonderful restaurants and the close proximity of Food Lion, the only large supermarket on Hatteras Island. Avon also has a bike path for running and biking the whole length of the village. We do not host weddings. You will love EASTWIND and you will love AVON!

Excellent afternoon sunsets, we were a team of fishermen that took advantage of the upper deck, especially in the afternoon/evenings, and sunset views, a nice breeze from the sound rounded out the day after dinner. The only downside was the microwave went out during our stay, but when I contacted the house attendant about it, she had a new counter top one delivered by that afternoon, thanks Betty.

This is the 2nd time we stayed at the property and we already booked for next summer! Property is right on the sound for beautiful evening views. Also convenient walk to the beach with beach access close by. Each bedroom has direct access to a bathroom which is a huge plus for us. The owner was very responsive and really we only had to reach out when we found a wasp nest in the outdoor shower. It was removed the same day we let the know about it. This house is perfect for fishing off the dock, kayaking, and enjoying the sound. We also took advantage of the community pool which is very convenient to the house. The house is close to restaurants and shops in Avon. We enjoyed our stay and will return next summer!

The house is great.The view on the water is outstanding.It’s easy lo live with a group as the house is spacious and offers many different areas and spaces. It’s easy to find a peaceful place to relax even with a big group and kids.The 1st floor is perfect for the kids. They have there own bathroom and play room.The gear management can be improved.

Extremely clean! The kitchen was very well-stocked. Great family-friendly home. Plenty of room for all 8 of us to just relax, play games, watch the birds, watch the wind and kite surfers, and enjoy the beautiful view of the Pamlico Sound. Awesome location!

Perfect for our family vacation

We had a fantastic week. Great weather, perfect house for our family of 12. Beautiful views, the hot tub is a plus, short walk to the beach, loved being on the sound, and enjoyed kayaking. We loved watching the kiters and all the wildlife too! Great location!

My family has a long history with Avon. We always loved the world class fishing and surfing. We came here for many years and we decided to purchase this house as the next step in enjoying the beautiful area and its water sports.[

We fell in love with the quality of the construction of EASTWIND as well as its waterfront location. Sunsets are truly memorable.

What makes this property unique

The house is beautifully constructed with multiple decks on the outside and gorgeous unique windows inside all offering spectacular views of the Pamlico Sound. Kiters, paddle boarders, kayakers, and windsurfers can launch from the back yard. The advantage of having 5 bedrooms, all with their own private bath, helps make vacations so enjoyable. We have also installed smart tvs in each bedroom. There is also a rec room on the first level with a pool table guaranteed to give many hours of enjoyment. The family room on the second floor also has a smart
TV as well as the large living room on the top level. Multiple families will love this home!
