There is no better location in the desert than a Sandpiper Condo. The saying location, location, location accurately describes the incredible amenities, (most within walking distance), surrounding beauty, the finest conveniences and the resort style living in this condo. No other location in Palm Desert compares, and you will be discover for yourself just how easy it is to rest and relax here. Not to mention world class golf and entertainment throughout the desert, making time spent here truly memorable.

Purchased in the summer of 2014, this condo has undergone a $26, 000 renovation, and is ready for guests. This condo has been redesigned with the vacationer in mind. Upon arrival, you will have the option of using a key or the electronic keypad. Once you open the doors, you’ll be greeted to brand new tile floors that were chosen to compliment the indoor/outdoor lifestyle of Sandpiper. To your right, wall to wall, floor to ceiling sliding glass doors open out to one of the two outdoor patios. Just a few steps off the patio is the large pool, complete with a real deep end! And if the pool is not relaxing enough, there is a private 4 person jacuzzi on the far end of the condo's patio.

If you choose to go left when you enter, you’ll walk into a retro dining area and a beautiful new kitchen, complete with new appliances, stainless steel back splash and stunning quartz countertops. From there one can step out onto the back patio, that features and outdoor kitchen with a Viking BBQ and side burner, sink and plenty of counter space. Eat inside or out, there is a table out back too. The automatic outdoor awning can be used at anytime, making the area seem like an extension of the home. There is also an indoor laundry area, tucked away but very convenient.

Heading straight in from the front doors takes you into a small hallway, complete with storage. Of the hallway is the master, complete with it’s own bathroom. The master bedroom has a Cal King foam mattress from Tuft and Needle. The bedroom is large and one wall is all glass doors leading outside to the private jacuzzi. In the closet is a large dresser drawers and a TV set, complete with ample hanging space.

The guest room has two twin xl foam mattresses that can be converted into a Cal King sleeping arrangement. This room features a very large closet and a built in dresser drawers. Glass doors lead directly to the back patio as well.

Both bathrooms in the home have been redone, and the master retains the original design of a roman tub and shower, but fitted with all new tile. Again quartz counter tops and new fixtures are throughout. The guest bath is equally impressive with a full size shower and a combination of glass and subway tiles in the shower.

Other amenities include a 48 inch TV in the living room, a large sectional overtop of a comfy shag rug, and high speed internet. Also a single garage parking spot is provided and there is plenty of visitor parking steps away.

About Jeff and Donna Johnson

As a Canadian who came to the California in 1990 and never left, my wife and I recently discovered the desert a couple years back. We would travel here on Fridays, hanging out with people that come from all over the world to escape snowy and cold winters. We love the world class amenities, shopping, the incredible outlets just 30 minutes away, along with several places in town for great coffee and tea.

We live and work approximately one hour from the condo and hope to enjoy it with family and friends for years to come when it is not being rented out.

Why Jeff and Donna Johnson chose Palm Desert

We were introduced to Sandpiper living by some friends in the spring of 2014. We were blown away at how special this place really is. Of course having been designed by a world class architect helps, but the natural beauty of the desert and the incredible sunsets are really something to experience. This unit caught our eye because it had been owned by another Canadian living in California and she had it for many years and we knew it had been well taken care of. When it is not being used by our guests, we look forward to using it as an escape and a gateway to all the desert has to offer. It is a place where you can park the car and just walk to anywhere you need to be. Out of milk, just cross the street. Want a Starbucks, well that is about a 4 minute stroll. Do you like Wolfgang Pucks? It is about a six minute walk. So when you are not here to enjoy, we will.

What makes this condo unique

There are many great units in Sandpiper, but you have found one the best. Unlike other condo complexes, Sandpiper has been designed to offer large green spaces. There are hundreds of condos in the desert but this area is truly unique and very well known in the community. We know that you'll love it as much as we do, so don't hesitate to contact us, we'd love to help facilitate your time away from home. And when you stay in our condo, you can do so with confidence knowing we are only an hour away in case of an emergency.

Paradise in the Desert

Visited in early spring of 2017 to get out of the cold of Seattle. Can not say enough pleasantries about the Johnson's condo or the Sandpiper itself. The grounds are immaculately manicured. I would imagine it’s what a small resort in the 1950’s might look like…shuffleboard, precisely maintained lawns, quiet pool and citrus and palm/fruit trees all about. Extremely quiet and relaxing. The condo is spotless, incredibly welcoming with a super fun, modern and yet retro design. Everything is updated, comfortable, with carefully curated books, design touches, cozy beds, and places to relax on both porches. We traveled with two kids and felt we could have stayed there forever. Great grocery stores and shopping literally within walking distance. Nice kitchen and hot tub. Mountains with great hiking right behind the resort. However, we felt perfectly content to alternate between relaxing by the pool, eating citrus from the trees, reading, and grilling on the patio out back. We can’t wait to get back!

Great vacation condo!

Our stay at this condo in Palm Desert was perfect. The condo was very well-maintained and clean. The kitchen had all the cookware I needed to make great food for family meals. We even enjoyed some fresh fruit off the citrus trees outside in the courtyard. The beds are very comfortable with super soft sheets. And the location was great--walkable to a lot of great shops and restaurants. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Fantastic condo, fantastic owners

We were there for the month of March 2017 and everything was great, especially the owners.

The condo is very pleasant and very clean, with everything you need and more. The outside is great with 2 patios (front and back), the private tub and the pool. Very quiet emplacement, near to everything. I would return anytime.

Enjoy the Sandpiper complex and the owners have done a very good job of making their property very comfortable for a lengthy stay. Well stocked, nicely furnished, lots of natural light coming into the condo. Citrus trees throughout the complex available for picking. Close proximity to shopping areas, art gallery and during this 2017 visit it was handy to have a walk-in clinic located just a couple of blocks away. Our second year renting this property and we hope to return for more stays in the future.
